Kiddi Caru Writtle, Chelmsford, a GrandirUK Day Nursery

Our son had his first nursery experience at Kiddi Caru. He managed to settle down quite fast (less than a month) considering he couldn't speak a word of English when he joined (English was not his native language). All the staff (from teaching to administration) contributed significantly to this, through their professional approach and at the same time they have always supported us as parents by various means in any kind of administration difficulties that we encountered. Since then, our son loves to go to the nursery daily and meet with his friends and the staff. We feel very safe with the environment and the people working at Kiddi Caru and we know that our son is having a playful educational experience, with plenty of toys and various fun activities. Communication with the nursery staff has always been excellent and really we have only good things to say. It's a pity that next year he has to leave the nursery and we hope the reception school to be close to those high standards.

I have been extremely impressed with Kiddi Caru, Writtle. They have supported my son in an inclusive and holistic manner since he started. Their level of communication during this difficult period has been excellent. A special mention to the superb Rabbits team (2-3yr). I have seen a visible difference in my son's social skills, talking, reading, drawing and playing. I would absolutely recommend this nursery to all.

Thrilled with the staff from the first day (approximately 18m ago) - they have always been approachable and responded timely and effectively to any concerns we have raised, which have been few.

Since our daughter started in the preschool room, she has been stimulated so much and her development has been quite amazing to see. One thing that would be a positive change would be to have observations and learning goals communicated, via an online system perhaps. Verbal feedback at the end of the day is always brilliant, and thorough, but actual observations would be great additionally.

We love the setting and really couldn’t be more confident that our daughter is great hands.

I moved my two-year-old son from his old nursery to Kiddi Caru after lockdown. I was extremely apprehensive about taking him to a new place. I had nothing to worry about. The staff made him and I feel so welcome and cared for, especially at an uncertain time. The staff, from management to key workers, are incredible. Even after a short time, they have all created a great bond with my son. The outdoor space and the experiences he has from this also make the place very special.

All of the staff at Kiddi Caru have been fantastic. My daughter has loved every day there and we have felt so at ease leaving her there, she has graduated a sociable, happy girl with a love of life and learning. Especially grateful for the photos and folder the staff have kept for us so we can read all about her days/experience, this has been priceless. Could not recommend a better nursery.

Impressed by the whole set up. Staff are very professional and actually do care, unlike another nursery our child attended. I'm 100 percent happy dropping her off. Communication with parents is excellent. Our daughter is always happy to attend.

My daughter has loved attending Writtle, Chelmsford Kiddi Caru over the last 3-years. We have found the nursery to have excellent standards. The food cooked on-site is delicious. Outdoor playing is encouraged and forest school a favourite. All the staff we have encountered have been exemplary. Would definitely recommend.

The ladies in the Rabbit room are brilliant (three in particular) and make leaving my son so much easier. He loves all the activities and has lots of fun when he’s there.

My 4-year-old has been going to Kiddi Caru since he was 6 months and now my youngest has joined. The outside space is vast which was a big selling point for us. The food prepared is a very good standard with lots of fruit and veg. If you have any issues then the office staff are very friendly and helpful. The place has a nice relaxed open atmosphere. The corridors and children's rooms are always very clean and you can tell the staff love working with children. My son has been very happy at Kiddi Caru Writtle and I look forward to my youngest having a similar experience.

My 9-month-old has recently joined the nursery and the team have been so supportive during her settling in. The staff in her room are kind and caring and always give us a thorough feedback at the end of the day. The food is lovely and they have a chef who cooks it all on-site. The management team are friendly and approachable. I feel confident in leaving my daughter and I know she is so cared for throughout the day!

Overall happy with all areas of nursery.

Agree the front door could be more secure and more pictures/structured updates on their development would be a nice touch: like the apps you can see this on?

My 20-month-old daughter has been attending Kiddi Caru for about 8 months now and she absolutely loves it. My son who is now almost 5 attended the nursery age 2-4. The staff are so professional and caring, I'm always so impressed by them and they have genuine affection for all the children in their care. Special mention to Butterflies room leader who is fantastic at her job and my children adore. The management team of the nursery are so on the ball, they are always flexible and accommodating where they can be. This nursery is an outstanding setting, it's so clean, runs like a well-oiled machine and is a home from home for my daughter.

Age-specific areas have been fine up until my son entered preschool. I feel it’s extremely poor in this area. The staff are great but there needs to be far more structure to the day. I feel compared to other preschools little if any preparation is happening to help children be ready for school in September. I know many who have withdrawn their children because they have been unhappy with the lack of focus on teaching and education. If it wasn’t for the fact that our son was settled we would have done the same.

This is my second child at the nursery. I am very happy with the quality of care he receives and he is very happy here. He has built relationships and made friends from an early age and I think this is down to the level of care and encouragement from the staff.

My only gripe is that it costs such a lot of money. I pay for a full week and get a "free" afternoon on a Friday but I think more could be deducted as paying over £1000 a month for 1 child is painful!

Excellent care and quality of learning. Very impressed and would highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

My son seems to have come on leaps and bounds since attending this nursery and he can’t wait to get in there in the mornings. The staff all seem genuinely happy to see him and I couldn’t feel better about leaving my son with them.

My eldest child has been at Kiddi Caru for 3 years and my youngest for 6 months. When we drop them off in the morning staff are always quick to greet us and often our children by name.

When we collect them they are generally in the middle of having fun that they have probably been having all day and not always keen to leave.

The outside space is a wonderful benefit of the nursery.

Great service. Members of staff are all such lovely people. Very good value for money. My son absolutely loves going every morning. Always has great activities inside and outside. Always on arrival of collecting get a rundown on their day..activities, what food was eaten, nappies. I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone.
