Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Writtle, Chelmsford

Friendly, approachable staff. I visited a number of childminders and nurseries for my son (who was 1 at the time), he has now been at Kiddi Caru for almost 2 years and I've never regretted my decision. I will be using Kiddi Caru again for my second child.

I cannot recommend the nursery enough!

Friendly and caring staff. Excellent at keeping parents informed. Due to Covid fewer activities available. Great outdoor space, reliable service and good opening times.

My daughter currently attends the preschool room and loves her nursery days. It is a very welcoming and friendly environment, which seems to really encourage the children to interact. The team are very creative and always have new ideas for engaging the children in a range of activities and making sure they get that all-important outdoor time to play and explore nature. I have been really impressed with the teaching sessions in smaller groups, which my daughter very much enjoys and has been picking up new skills including phonics. I have been so impressed with the nursery team throughout, but especially in recent times where their proactiveness to the evolving guidelines and commitment to keeping everyone safe has been fantastic. I have personally really valued the time they always happily give to support me by discussing any concerns and providing reassurance.

Both my children attend and are really happy here. Their keyworkers are brilliant and any concerns I have raised have been dealt with immediately. The new manager has made some fantastic changes and is a credit to the nursery. All the nursery needs is the Tapestry App, in my opinion.

My son has been going to this nursery for over a year. He has learnt so much (recently numbers, calculations. emotions, songs) he has made a lot of new friends in the nursery and always come home in a good mood, singing and telling me what he had been doing/learning in the nursery. My son likes all the adults in pre-school. My son loves building blocks and playing with cars.

Shame that the cost has increased to include nappies and wipes as our daughter only needs the odd wipe now.

My daughter is 2 and a half and has been attending Kiddi Caru Writtle since she was 10 months old. I have always thought that the staff are fantastic, caring, cheerful, knowledgeable - but I am so impressed at how they have managed to maintain such a high standard throughout these challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their communication is excellent and I completely trust that they have a compliant and well-thought-out system in place to ensure my child is happy and safe - and continues to develop well - thank you so much for all you do!

We love Kiddi Caru, Writtle. The staff are brilliant and so supportive. My child has been attending for 4 months now and had a very rocky start, it is a testament to the team that they were able to settle him at all! They worked flexibly with me to accommodate my return to work and I felt secure and happy leaving my son in their care. The place is spotless. The team are working so hard to ensure that even with COVID restrictions, families are kept well informed about the activities of their child. I cannot recommend the nursery enough. They are excellent and we are so grateful for the care they provide.

We have had a great experience at Kiddi Caru and our daughter has settled in really well. The nursery are really flexible with extra sessions where they can be and keep parents informed regularly regarding events, heating issues, covid outbreaks etc.

My daughter currently attends the nursery and my son previously. My daughter is excited to attend and walks in happily, which is amazing as she has always been quite clingy to mummy. My son comes to collect my daughter sometimes and the staff always recognise him and talk to him about what he’s been up to. The nursery as a whole have done everything possible to support the families during the pandemic as well as doing their best to keep the children safe when open.

We send both of our children to nursery - a 4-year-old and 1-year-old. Both children thoroughly enjoy their day at nursery and we feel we also receive excellent daily feedback and progress of their learning and activities. Their activities seem very varied and believe it to be a good basis for the next step up into primary school.

This nursery has been turned around! Very happy that my daughter is having an amazing time here. The staff are very good and the facilities are excellent. The manager is on top of everything and the nursery now has excellent communication.

I cannot recommend Kiddi Caru in Writtle highly enough. The staff are so caring, kind and go out of their way to help us and our children. The manager and his team look after both our children and during a tough year (2020 pandemic!) they have communicated excellently and provided a safe and fun haven for our kids! They love it there and we feel so assured at what they are learning and how they are being cared for is of such a high standard. The outside space and forest school is so brilliant and is an important part of the learning that Kiddi Caru encourage. Both our children have the vegan menu which is brilliant and so well balanced and nutritious and our kids love the food. The key carers that look after our children have formed such wonderful and genuine bonds which we are so thrilled about and will make it very hard to say goodbye as they grow up. Thank you so much Kiddi Caru and all staff for being that wonderful, warm and friendly place.

It has been a bit different since Covid not picking up from in the room but I feel the right measures have been put in place to reduce risks to the children whilst not impacting on us too much. I am very grateful for all their hard work at a difficult time. Communication via email has also increased which I find helpful.

Amazing nursery full of warmth and love. They are true partners and always operate with our daughter’s best interest at heart. They are always available to answer any question, no matter how trivial and I absolutely know that my daughter has the best fun there. We can’t wait for our 12 week old to have the Kiddi adventure too!

The facilities are great and the way the management and staff have responded to the challenges of the last year has been exceptional.

My son has attended Kiddi Caru since November 2019 and he loves it there. I couldn't choose a better place for him. He's really come out of his shell, made friends, started speaking more and become more confident day by day. The outdoor space is huge and they have a forest school just next to their garden. Parking is also very big. Management is one of the best I've seen and the staff are very passionate about their job and caring.

Our son had his first nursery experience at Kiddi Caru. He managed to settle down quite fast (less than a month) considering he couldn't speak a word of English when he joined (English was not his native language). All the staff (from teaching to administration) contributed significantly to this, through their professional approach and at the same time they have always supported us as parents by various means in any kind of administration difficulties that we encountered. Since then, our son loves to go to the nursery daily and meet with his friends and the staff. We feel very safe with the environment and the people working at Kiddi Caru and we know that our son is having a playful educational experience, with plenty of toys and various fun activities. Communication with the nursery staff has always been excellent and really we have only good things to say. It's a pity that next year he has to leave the nursery and we hope the reception school to be close to those high standards.
