Kiddi Caru Day Nursery and Preschool in Writtle, Chelmsford, is proudly rated ‘Good’ by Ofsted (January 2022) and offers a nurturing environment that encourages learning through play. They follow the EYFS curriculum, enhanced by the Curiosity Approach, Hygge, Montessori, and Forest School principles, supporting well-rounded child development.

The purpose-built nursery features bright playrooms, a communal area with a fish tank and land snails, and a dynamic outdoor space including a growing garden and free-flow access. Kiddi Caru Writtle is great, with an inclusive mix of engaging staff that are very creative in all the activities provided to the children. There are large outdoor spaces in each of the rooms, chickens, fish and a doggy corner to keep the children entertained. I really recommend it!

My little one has been attending since 6 months. I have found all staff to be very caring and engaged with the children. They are always coming up with new ways to keep the children entertained. I love the outdoor space each room has and the varied and nutritious meals they are given. Excellent communication
with the nursery too.

Our daughter has been at Kiddi Caru since she was 9 months old and is now just entering preschool. We have been very pleased with the consistently high standard of care she has experienced whilst there. The staff are caring and enthusiastic, there is always a wide range of interesting and fun activities
for the children to take part in. A highlight is the lovely garden areas and visits to see the chickens! I have been particularly impressed with the food, the menu is creative and has made our daughter happy to try a wide range of food which you wouldn’t typically expect in a childcare setting.

Kiddi Caru has been so caring and lovely to my daughter, she absolutely loves her time there. And as a parent, I always feel very confident and comfortable leaving her in their care.
The garden space is amazing and I’m looking forward for her to enjoy the next two years growing with the nursery.

Great nursery. The management team are always thinking of and coming up with new initiatives like balance bike sessions and a borrowing library.
Staff are friendly, caring and really know your child, including the kitchen and office staff.
Great facilities especially the outside space which is fully
utilised whatever the weather.

Best nursery ever! I am jealous of my own child’s life at Kiddi Karru. The whole team is spectacular, and they make it their highest objective to give the kids the best days of their little lives! Also, the mobile app is fantastic to get an update on the little one.

Kiddi Caru Writtle is a fantastic nursery and my child has always had a brilliant time. The entire team work well together and are great at their jobs. Communication is always great and and any questions are answered promptly. My child has always made lovely bonds with team members and the team are
very passionate about what they do and this shows. Always lots of activities going on, with lots of thought behind them and always new things happening to keep the children interested. My child enjoys her meals at nursery and the food always smells amazing at drop-off. I know my child is happy, safe and well cared for when I drop her off.

Of all the nurseries we looked at, we knew straight away this was the right one for our boy. Lovely staff, made the boy feel comfortable and us in settling him in. Good communication, polite and very helpful, can tell that it’s not just a job to the staff.

The team do an amazing job and genuinely love working with the kids. Our daughter is very happy here as was her older sister when she was here. Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a nursery in Chelmsford/Writtle.

From initial registration to settling my little one into nursery, the entire team at Kiddi Caru Writtle have been fabulous! The food options and their nutritional content is great, the indoor/outdoor facilities appear to be of a good standard and the care taken within the classroom including the variety
of educational activities is fantastic. I couldn’t recommend the nursery enough!

I have two children attending Kiddi Caru Writtle in different rooms. The quality and care of the staff to children are exceptional with a family feel.
Management are approachable and day-to-day activities are monitored easily through the Family app.

Excellent nursery. Friendly staff who are reassuring, friendly, caring and leave me feeling very comfortable leaving my kids.
My kids always seem exhausted when they come home which shows they are learning lots and having a great time.

Good nursery with lovely, friendly staff. Great communication with parents and carers through their new app. Only fault is that I can't always leave my child there for extra sessions. But that's not unusual.

Writtle College has been perfect for my little girl, she jumps out of my arms when we arrive in the morning. The staff are kind and caring and will make sure your child is made to feel extra special. They keep you updated with all the things they’ve been up to and how they’ve eaten and slept throughout
the day. I wouldn’t want my child to go anywhere else.

Kiddi Caru Day Nursery Writtle, Chelmsford is a big family that has created a wonderful place for the kids. My daughter has been for a year and she is happy and enjoys her time in the nursery. I have always found the staff workers to be very communicative and the admin team are so efficient.

The team are very approachable and friendly, when our son needed extra support they went above and beyond to work with us on a care plan for him. He has really developed a bond with the key workers in his room.

Really lovely nursery in a beautiful environment. Both of my children have attended and they are always looked after above and beyond. The staff are so friendly, caring and I always feel comfortable leaving my son here and know he will learn lots, eat well and be given the attention he needs.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Katie has worked in the early years sector for nearly twenty years and began working for Kiddi Caru in 2013. During this time she has climbed our internal career ladder and has gained her Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Children and Young Persons Services. Katie has extensive experience within all the age ranges, which has enabled her to provide the team with the best support and knowledge in providing high standards in childcare and education. What Katie enjoys most is welcoming families and building strong parent partnerships.
