Poppetts caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years with dedicated rooms for Babies, Toddlers and Pre School. Each have direct access to a superb 'all weather' garden.

Poppetts' passionate qualified team nurtures all children through providing activities and opportunities to develop a love for learning. They believe that giving children the chance to experiment and explore their environment through play means they gain great enjoyment and knowledge whilst building good foundations for later learning in life. All children can join in extra-curricular activities such as Adventure Babies Story & Sensory, BilinguaSing (French/Spanish), Multi Sports, Yoga and Theatre Frenzy. These take place throughout the week across all rooms and change termly.

Pre-schoolers and Toddlers can enjoy Talking Tots taught by an external teacher. Their daily activities include Boogie Mites sessions, Italian lessons, and their own echo school.

The Out of School Club operates for children attending Long Ridings Primary school from a separate building on the School grounds. The Club is open term time from 7.45am - 9am and 3.20pm–6pm. The qualified staff collect the children from school walking them back to the Club. The children have supervised access to the extensive playground and school fields. They offer a healthy, balanced and nutritional breakfast/high tea each day.

Poppetts is a fantastic nursery. I now have two children who attend, one in the baby room, and one in the eldest room. The structured, educational and fun days keep my eldest entertained and the play and gentle learning in the baby room has helped my youngest to develop. The staff are kind and engaged,
easy to talk to and develop real relationships with the children in their care. The food is excellent and has set a ridiculously high bar for non-nursery days. I would recommend Poppetts in a heartbeat.

I am really pleased with the staff who helped for my son to settle in. Everyone was very kind and attentive towards both of us from the very beginning. The app is a great tool to check on your baby’s activities during the day. Two members of staff in particular are absolutely amazing. Thanks a lot!

We have been very happy with Poppetts Nursery and would highly recommend it to others. More importantly, our son has been very happy and settled since he first started the nursery three and a half years ago, our daughter too, who attended from 2013-2016. The food is prepared onsite and is fresh, healthy
and varied. The app also provides observations, photos and details of what he’s eaten during the day. The nursery manager is always very quick at responding to queries and is very helpful. More recently, proactively reaching out to offer specific development support for our son, which is hugely appreciated. Our son loves the garden and the variety of activities on offer. He always comes home with lots of stories from the day and loves showing us all the things that he’s made.

We love Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club. Both our children have attended this fantastic nursery with our youngest currently still there and our eldest having been there for over 3 years prior, who now uses the breakfast and after school club provision they have on-site. The girls are fantastic
and are so kind and caring. They are genuinely interested in their development and will always take the time to discuss anything with you. We are impressed by the breadth of learning and fun play activities and there is lots of garden and outside play too. The home-cooked food offering is delicious and of excellent quality. The managers and front desk are always on hand to help and reassure, we have also been extremely grateful for all they have done over recent months to keep everyone safe. We really couldn’t ask for a better place to care for our babies!

We have been using the nursery since 2017, four to five days per week for each child. The key differentiation for this nursery is consistency, stability and reliability. Importantly staff turnover is extremely low so the same keyworkers have looked after both our children during the last four years.
The first time you leave a child at nursery it's really hard but when I saw how happy they came home and how well their social skills were developing I was left with no doubt we had done the right thing for our children. The home-cooked food is also a huge added bonus, I think they eat better at nursery than at home. Would definitely recommend.

Both of my children attended from the age of 6 months. My youngest who currently attends is growing into a well rounded, friended, intelligent young boy and the nursery have a lot to do with that. I am always impressed with the creative activities they do with the children especially around the holidays.
I have so many special keepsakes that the children have made at nursery. My boy has bonded extremely well with the staff and absolutely adores them. The only slight criticism I have is that they change their keyworkers too often, but that may just be as a result of action taken for covid.

My daughter has been going to Poppetts for 3 years now. She always comes away from the day with a smile on her face and can’t wait to tell us how her day has been. The staff in all the rooms are extremely knowledgeable and place the well-being of the children at the core of everything they do. I feel

Our son started at Poppetts when he was just 11 months old. All the carers in the Peapod sections have been amazing with him. The nursery offers a great variety of activities and we receive regular updates on our son’s daily routine. With all that has been going on recently, just seeing how happy he

Our son has been attending Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club for eight months and has been in two of the age group rooms, Peapods and Runner Beans. I have nothing but praise for the staff in both rooms. The staff in Peapods made my son feel welcome and he settled in very quickly, even in these
strange Covid-19 times, due to their warm and caring attitudes. He soon moved up to the Runner Beans room and again made quick connections with the staff and became confident joining in with all the fun activities. The nursery provides an app with updates throughout the day which is a nice way to feel like you are still part of your child’s day. My son loves his food and always eats up the portions of healthy food provided. I would definitely recommend this nursery as staff are caring, they have great learning opportunities that are provided daily and good communication with parents.

I love this nursery! My son has been attending since September 2018, and they've been great. The staff are so personable, and they just seem to churn out well rounded, charismatic and thoughtful little people. They do an amazing job all year round, but particular kudos, to them throughout the pandemic
as they continued to open their doors and create a positive environment for the children whilst ensuring parents felt safe and protected. I believe that this was a hugely difficult balance to get right, and they excelled at every challenge they faced. My son is due to go to primary in September, and we will both miss Poppets Day Nursery & Out of School Club tremendously, but enjoy thinking back to his time there with fond memories.

My son joined Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club in February 2021. We couldn't see the nursery properly due to Covid-19 restrictions so had a tiny bit of anxiety around how would he settle and was it nice, safe to say that we now have no fears with the excellent staff and facility. In terms of
practicality they provide good updates online during the day, give thoughtful consideration to development and milestone tracking and are good with communication. In reality though it's the bond that he clearly has with his three key workers that is shining through. He is having a great time and after settling in now doesn't give it a second thought. Thanks.

Both of my daughters attend Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club, with my big girl graduating from nursery to after-school club and my little girl due to leave jumping beans in September to start school and attend after-school club as well. Both have been so happy in the setting. From a nursery
perspective, the early years education is amazing and has really set them up to start proper school. With the balance of care and structure, both have flourished and their personal strengths are already showing through. The staff are outstanding and understand the needs of each child. My little lady comes home with lovely stories of what she's done each day and proudly shows off her work. The after-school club has provided my big girl with a friendly, fun and relaxing space to play and unwind after she's finished her day. As we don't have family support in the local area and my husband and I both work full time, Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club has been a huge lifeline for our family and our girls have benefited hugely from the care they receive.

My son has attended Poppets Day Nursery & Out of School Club for seven months now and I cannot be happier with the level of care he has received. All the food is cooked fresh and he always eats well and healthily. They have an app to update parents with what their children are getting up to through
the day, this is so helpful as you can see how much they have eaten and slept through the day, a lot of other nursery’s don’t offer this. I do feel like the nursery fees are higher than others in the area, however I do believe you get what you pay for and I feel the level of care my child gets warrants the cost. The nursery are always very helpful and will answer any questions you have, I feel like all the staff really like working there and this shows through at drop off and pick ups. I would highly recommend this nursery to any parent searching for a nursery for their child.

My eldest daughter joined the Runner Beans room two years ago, aged one and a half at the time. We were new to the area and she settled into her new nursery seamlessly. She is now in Jumping Beans and continues to love it there. The staff are excellent. They organised loads of different activities to
keep the children engaged and we get observations and photos via the app. Our youngest daughter has just joined Peapods. Despite being with mostly just me during the year of lockdown, she is already settling in well after just a couple of sessions. The nursery is very well run and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club.

Our son has been going to Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club for nearly a year and we have been so pleased with our choice of nursery. From the moment we went to visit we got a great feel for the setting, all of the staff have been friendly, kind and welcoming from his key worker to the people
on reception and the catering staff. He has been very happy and settled there, he gets lots of stimulation and loves the garden space. They undertake lots of activities and he proudly brings home lots of his creations every week.
