We have a daughter in the pre-school room (Jumping Beans) and a son in the baby room (Peapods) at Poppetts and are very happy with the level of care that they receive. Our daughter has been at the nursery since December 2021 and although there has been a change of management in that time, the high standards that we've come to expect from the nursery haven't changed. She has developed into an adventurous, enthusiastic and happy girl and that is down, in a large part, to the fantastic staff and facilities at Poppetts. She enjoys going to nursery and has made strong friendships with other children in her class. The outside space is great, as is the nature time that the nursery provides. In every room the staff are dedicated, supportive and caring and our daughter's allergies are well considered by the kitchen team. Our son started in January this year, and the transition has been smooth. We know that he is well looked after and supported by the attentive staff in the Peapods room.

Our child is in the baby room at Poppetts (Pea Pods) and I can honestly say the girls working in there are fantastic. Our son loves coming to nursery, gets excited, and will happily go to the girls working in there. He also loves seeing all members of staff, and everyone makes the effort to interact with him! Communication is great through the app, allowing both myself and my partner to see how much he's eaten, his sleeps and bottles. As our son started when he was 7 months old, and he is now 13 months, the room has adapted well to meet his changing needs (weaning/changes of routine) and we are super happy with his care and development!

I am pleased with the nursery and the care my son receives there. I have been very happy with the progress he has made, and it's wonderful to see that he has formed friendships with other children. I would especially like to express my appreciation for the teachers, particularly two members of staff, who have been fantastic in supporting and nurturing him. Their dedication and kindness have made a significant difference in his experience. However, I have noticed that my son falls ill quite frequently, and I am concerned that certain environmental factors might be contributing to this. I have observed that the external door is often left open, even when children are inside without their jackets. This could be making them more susceptible to illness. I would appreciate it if this could be addressed to ensure a more comfortable and healthy environment. Thank you for your time and consideration. I truly appreciate all the effort you put into creating a nurturing space for the children.

We are very happy with Poppetts, We were anxious about moving our son's nursery when we moved to the area, but he settled incredibly quickly thanks to the care of the staff in the baby room. He's always happy to be dropped off and picked up and it's so reassuring to know he has a great day doing all the messy play that we would never dream of doing at home!

Our daughter started nursery in June, and has settled in really well thanks to Poppets. They’ve been so considerate and welcoming and our daughter is really enjoying herself. The staff are amazing, and our daughter has clearly developed a bond with her key worker and the rest of the room staff. Thank you all!

A wonderful nursery, the members of staff are so friendly and caring and ensure the children are taught important life skills. There are always fun activities each day and the children are encouraged to explore indoors and outdoors. My child has confidence and is advanced in his speech and I am sure a lot of this is down to the interactions he has at nursery with staff and fellow children. I would highly recommend this nursery.

We love Bright Horizons Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club. Our little boy has been going since October 2022. He settled in well, all the staff are lovely and so caring. He has bonded with them well and they are always happy to give cuddles and support his emotional needs, especially the staff in Peapods. Every day when we pick him up he is so happy. The nursery is clean and well-kept. They are on the ball with any illness, accidents or medicines. There's a great variety of food. They are always coming up with lots of new activities to keep them engaged and occupied. Our little boy has picked up so much and developed so much during his time already. They are always happy to follow your lead. The nursery managers know all the children by name and are very helpful, approachable and friendly. We couldn't be happier with our choice and feel assured when we drop him off that he will be well cared for.

Poppetts is just amazing! The staff are fabulous and so loving to my children. I viewed six nurseries and Poppetts by far blew me away. My girls have such a good bond with the staff and my eldest says her teacher is her best friend! The lovely staff really make this a wonderful place. The stay and plays really made me feel comfortable with the nursery as I was able to see my babies so happy in the setting, just wish they did more of them on the days my children go! Definitely recommend Poppetts to all.

My daughter has attended Poppetts for the past year and both the staff team and management have been amazing. She always comes home happy and I receive regular feedback about how her day has been. The staff in her room go above and beyond and the management team are easy to talk to about anything.

Our daughter is currently in Peapods. The staff that we have met always seem happy and caring. Each week, we get a number of pieces of work to take home that show what the children have all been doing e.g. painting, sticking, baking. We receive a weekly observation report with photos and developments, which is always nice to get. Our daughter always seems happy to be at nursery and eats all her meals, so the chef is doing an excellent job! Keep up the good work. I will recommend Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club to others because the nursery staff are kind, the rooms/outdoor spaces are of good size and the location is just a short 10 minutes walk to Shenfield train station.

My daughter has gone to Poppetts for 2.5 years since her 1st birthday. From the first time I met the team I felt reassured that this is the right place for us and our daughter and I would feel able to concentrate on work knowing she is so well cared for. Every single staff member without exception is fantastic. High standards of quality care, cleanliness and hygiene are maintained. Toys and rooms are maintained in excellent order. Communication is very good and the food is amazing. All staff treat each child as an individual and do such amazing activities. Our daughter has flourished in their care and the staff have supported us through many a parenting hurdle!! I have recommended to neighbours to friends who are also happy with the care given to their little ones.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the staff at Poppetts Nursery since my little one has attended from the age of 2 years old. All the staff have a genuine interest and care for the children that attend, this includes the cook, management and most importantly the room staff. They really get to know the child and always have time to discuss progress and matters. I have seen my little one gain so much more confidence, social skills and knowledge from his time at Poppetts. The environment including the outside space is often ‘changed up’ to add variety and new learning challenges for the children. They put on events to explore and celebrate a diverse range of special days/events. My little one's favourite bit is the garden. The food is also another strength: being healthy, varied and tasty. I am always so grateful for the hard work and dedication the staff put in to ensure my child has an enjoyable and purposeful time at nursery.

Poppetts day nursery is a great nursery, the staff go above and beyond to make sure your children are well looked after and the parents are happy with the decision they are making. My children adore the nursery and look forward to going there each week. My children have developed their education so much since starting there and their confidence has grown greatly.

I cannot recommend Poppetts highly enough. Our eldest has attended the nursery since 2017 when she was 11 months old. She is now 4.5 years old and the staff at Poppetts have been a huge part of her development. The staff are wonderful and their passion for children is evident. Both of our children have eaten a huge variety of foods since being at nursery versus being at home! The procedures during the pandemic have been very thorough and parents have been kept well informed at all stages. Thank you Poppetts, you’ve turned childcare into a huge positive!

Our son loves going to Poppetts and has been going here for a year and a half. We're very happy we chose to send him here and his little brother will be joining him there in January! All the staff are friendly and professional and genuinely care about the children. Would definitely recommend!

Poppetts has been a part of our life for the last 6 years - our eldest daughter went to Poppetts as a baby and now goes to their out of school club. Our youngest daughter now attends. I cannot speak highly enough about the level of care, support and love the staff have given and continue to give our kids. As a working parent, it’s been amazing to be able to know that our kids are having a great time at Poppetts and enjoy going. The staff dedication during the pandemic has been truly amazing. Thank you Poppetts!

Poppetts in Shenfield is the third nursery our son has attended. The first was for our convenience, to travel to work, and was not at a good enough standard. The second was a busy and good nursery but they could not accommodate keyworker children during the first lockdown. I asked Poppetts as it was highly recommended by a friend. They were helpful from the very start and were able to keep my son on afterwards, on our request. In summary, the facilities are great, the staff are competent, friendly, easy to talk to, open to thinking with us about our son's care, he loves it and has really bonded well with several of the staff. They celebrate culturally diverse events. I feel completely comfortable and trusting that they are giving my son the best care (I don't leave him anywhere else). He learns a lot, educationally, emotionally and with his boundaries. The team keep us updated. Most importantly, unlike other nurseries, all the staff here seem smart and on the job for more than the money! Thank you!

We had heard good things about Poppetts prior to our son attending and our hopes and expectations of the nursery have been exceeded. From the outset, he has loved attending and always seems happy and comfortable with the people and surroundings. The nursery is spacious, clean and well run. The team are courteous and caring as well as very professional at looking after the children and communicating with parents. The organisation and response to Covid-19 have been impressive and instils confidence that the children are being cared for in a safe and happy environment. Everything is taken care of including wholesome cooking. The main factor to mention is the staff who all seem dedicated to the children and in particular, our son's key workers since he joined the nursery. They have been excellent at looking after him and forming a great bond which is really lovely to see.

My daughter has attended the nursery for 3 years and I am so glad we chose it. She is and has always been very happy there, the staff are so caring and the communication is great. I feel very comfortable leaving my daughter in their hands and she will miss it so much when she starts school. My youngest daughter is now at the nursery and has settled in so well thanks to the staff and her amazing key worker.

I cannot rate Poppetts enough. My son has been attending for nearly a year (since 10 months) and absolutely loves it. He gives me a kiss each morning and races through the door to see his friends. All the usual things you would expect from a nursery, nutritious homemade food, clean, welcoming atmosphere, friendly staff etc. However, what makes Poppetts so great, is that it is clear how much thought and effort goes into each and every day. Even from a very young age, the children celebrate different holidays, cultures and traditions and my son continually comes home with various mementoes. On Mother's day, he gave me a homemade (paper) teapot with a biscuit and teabag inside, it was so cute, my husband would never have thought of that! The second stand out point is how amazing the nursery has been throughout COVID. It has remained open throughout, navigated any obstacle thrown at them and kept us parents so well informed. I have not once felt nervous about sending my son throughout the pandemic.
