Bright Horizons Poppetts Day Nursery

We're especially grateful for encouraging our child to eat healthily and supporting toilet training and brushing teeth.

The staff take great care of my daughter. She enjoys her time at the nursery. She is only 4 years old, but she likes her teachers so much that she wanted to give them flowers to show her appreciation. It is much appreciated.

My child moved to this nursery only in November as we moved home and has had such a positive experience despite joining in his final year before school. The nursery have enabled me to have peace of mind as a parent for a smooth nursery to school transition. My only regret is not having moved home sooner so my son could have joined this nursery earlier. The nursery offer a wide range of resources and facilities and I feel the staff listen and tailor their teaching/ nursery care to specific needs, if requested. All the staff and reception are friendly and approachable.

The only thing I'd like is a little more pictures updates throughout the week whether this is a weekly post/summary just on our daughter.

The girls at Bright horizons are some of the kindest and brilliant women I have ever met. My child's teachers are outstanding and have developed such a bond with my daughter that she is as excited to see them as she is members of our family! The management team are exceptional, they answer and issue or email immediately your never left waiting for any answers they are a wonderful team who's priority is clearly in best interest of the children always, would recommend the poppets day nursery staff to everyone who was looking for safe reliable exceptional childcare.

We are extremely pleased with this nursery and couldn't recommend it more highly. One of the first things that stood out to us was how clean and well-maintained the environment is. It always feels safe, fresh, and welcoming, which gives us great peace of mind as parents.

The range of activities offered is fantastic. The children are constantly engaged in creative, educational, and fun experiences that support their development and keep them excited about learning. It's clear that a lot of thought and care goes into planning each day.

Most importantly, our children are genuinely happy attending. They look forward to going in every day, which says so much about the atmosphere and the people there. As parents, we also feel very happy and reassured by the staff. They are warm, attentive, and clearly dedicated to the children's wellbeing and growth.

Overall, it's a wonderful nursery that we trust completely and feel very lucky to be part of.

I truly recommend this nursery to all parents. I now have my 2 children attending and I feel confident in leaving them at nursery knowing that they are safe and being cared for by all the staff. I love seeing the caring affection between my kids and their teachers! They also provide healthy and nutritious food throughout the day and even with my 2 picky eaters, they seem to love the food!

Couldn't recommend this nursery enough. As a first time Mum when viewing different nurseries it's really hard to know what to look for but as soon as I visited here it had such a lovely feel about it and I knew it was the one for my little boy.

He started in January 2026 and has settled in so well, all of the team are so lovely and friendly and always go above and beyond. My little boy has CMPA and the team have been brilliant when accommodating this, before he started I was so nervous about meal times but he seems to really enjoy the food provided here.

The ladies are always so helpful with any questions that I have and always keep me fully up to date with what my little boy has been up to throughout the days/week. Since starting my little boy has become so sociable, especially with other children. He has developed in so many different ways it's really clear to see how he is benefiting from being here three days a week.

We have a daughter in the pre-school room (Jumping Beans) and a son in the baby room (Peapods) at Poppetts and are very happy with the level of care that they receive. Our daughter has been at the nursery since December 2021 and although there has been a change of management in that time, the high standards that we've come to expect from the nursery haven't changed. She has developed into an adventurous, enthusiastic and happy girl and that is down, in a large part, to the fantastic staff and facilities at Poppetts. She enjoys going to nursery and has made strong friendships with other children in her class. The outside space is great, as is the nature time that the nursery provides. In every room the staff are dedicated, supportive and caring and our daughter's allergies are well considered by the kitchen team. Our son started in January this year, and the transition has been smooth. We know that he is well looked after and supported by the attentive staff in the Peapods room.

As our son started when he was 7 months old, and he is now 13 months, the room has adapted well to meet his changing needs (weaning/changes of routine) and we are super happy with his care and development!

We are very happy with Poppetts, We were anxious about moving our son's nursery when we moved to the area, but he settled incredibly quickly thanks to the care of the staff in the baby room. He's always happy to be dropped off and picked up and it's so reassuring to know he has a great day doing all the messy play that we would never dream of doing at home!

We love Bright Horizons Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club. Our little boy has been going since October 2022. He settled in well, all the staff are lovely and so caring. He has bonded with them well and they are always happy to give cuddles and support his emotional needs, especially the staff in Peapods. Every day when we pick him up he is so happy. The nursery is clean and well-kept. They are on the ball with any illness, accidents or medicines. There's a great variety of food. They are always coming up with lots of new activities to keep them engaged and occupied. Our little boy has picked up so much and developed so much during his time already. They are always happy to follow your lead. The nursery managers know all the children by name and are very helpful, approachable and friendly. We couldn't be happier with our choice and feel assured when we drop him off that he will be well cared for.

A wonderful nursery, the members of staff are so friendly and caring and ensure the children are taught important life skills. There are always fun activities each day and the children are encouraged to explore indoors and outdoors. My child has confidence and is advanced in his speech and I am sure a lot of this is down to the interactions he has at nursery with staff and fellow children. I would highly recommend this nursery.

Poppetts is just amazing! The staff are fabulous and so loving to my children. I viewed six nurseries and Poppetts by far blew me away. My girls have such a good bond with the staff and my eldest says her teacher is her best friend! The lovely staff really make this a wonderful place. The stay and plays really made me feel comfortable with the nursery as I was able to see my babies so happy in the setting, just wish they did more of them on the days my children go! Definitely recommend Poppetts to all.

My daughter has attended Poppetts for the past year and both the staff team and management have been amazing. She always comes home happy and I receive regular feedback about how her day has been. The staff in her room go above and beyond and the management team are easy to talk to about anything.

Our daughter is currently in Peapods. The staff that we have met always seem happy and caring. Each week, we get a number of pieces of work to take home that show what the children have all been doing e.g. painting, sticking, baking. We receive a weekly observation report with photos and developments, which is always nice to get. Our daughter always seems happy to be at nursery and eats all her meals, so the chef is doing an excellent job! Keep up the good work. I will recommend Poppetts Day Nursery & Out of School Club to others because the nursery staff are kind, the rooms/outdoor spaces are of good size and the location is just a short 10 minutes walk to Shenfield train station.

I have recommended to neighbours to friends who are also happy with the care given to their little ones.

I have been thoroughly impressed with the dedication and professionalism of the staff at Poppetts Nursery since my little one has attended from the age of 2 years old. All the staff have a genuine interest and care for the children that attend, this includes the cook, management and most importantly the room staff. They really get to know the child and always have time to discuss progress and matters. I have seen my little one gain so much more confidence, social skills and knowledge from his time at Poppetts. The environment including the outside space is often ‘changed up’ to add variety and new learning challenges for the children. They put on events to explore and celebrate a diverse range of special days/events. My little one's favourite bit is the garden. The food is also another strength: being healthy, varied and tasty. I am always so grateful for the hard work and dedication the staff put in to ensure my child has an enjoyable and purposeful time at nursery.
