Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Crocus Early Years Centre

We have nothing but great things to say about the Crocus nursery. Our daughter has been extremely happy here for the past three years since she was one year old. The care and professionalism of the staff is excellent. From the point of our welcome, until now we have fully appreciated the quality and personal touch of the Crocus approach. From the manager through to all other staff, we have had trust and confidence in all their efforts with our daughter. She has flourished and learnt so much in her time here and loves coming every day. Thank you.

It is a great nursery, I would recommend it to everyone. Staff are professional, caring friendly, approachable and management is very approachable and always willing to help.

Professional and organised, the staff build real relationships with the kids. My daughter looks forward every day to seeing her friends which includes her teachers! My daughter has developed leaps and bounds during her time here it's difficult to quantify this since this is the only nursery we have experienced but we've been very happy with our choice since day one.

We couldn't be happier with the care my daughter has received over the last three years. She has been so happy and we will treasure the memories we have.

There is the right amount of comfort and boundary setting, giggles and learning, which makes them enjoy their time there. They are prepared very well for their school years ahead and leave with good social awareness and high self-esteem. As my last child leaves the nursery for school this year, we look back over our time at Crocus early years and we are very grateful for the attention and support they have given us since 2013!

It is a fun place for children to learn and develop, meet new friends and gain new experiences, but what makes it extra special are people, both staff and the management. I always felt listened to, asked and cared for. They go above and beyond to satisfy our requests from sending detailed communication book home every day (which enabled me to be a part of my daughter's days) to preparing special homemade food for our daughter. We are immediately informed of any incidents (e.g. a fall) and if I ever was not happy about something, the matter was immediately dealt with through friendly discussion and mutual agreement. In terms of learning and development again the key workers follow the individual needs of our daughter and I feel we work together in guiding her growth, physical, emotional and social. We have had some beautiful pieces of art as a result of her daily activities at the nursery. On top of that she is learning to share, say 'please', and be both younger and older in a group.

She starts school in September and I know they will make the transition as smooth as they can.

My son loves the baby room at Crocus. He is happy, settled and attached to his carers. The staff are caring and warm and it’s wonderful to see him happily being dropped off and smiling when collected. I can’t rate them highly enough.

My son has been with Crocus Saffron Walden Nursery for just over a year now and he absolutely loves it. The staff are amazing and always helpful and the facilities are varied with a fantastic outside area for the kids. We could not be happier with the care and sometimes can't believe our luck that we found such a wonderful place for our son. The team work closely with us on developmental milestones and always keep us informed of events at the nursery so we can be more involved in our son's care.

I have recommended Crocus Saffron Walden to two colleagues who live in the area as I really feel it's a fabulous nursery.

My son has grown and developed into such a beautiful, well mannered, polite, sociable, amazing ... the list could go on and on and the team at Crocus from the very top down are all vital in aiding this. They cannot do enough for you and the effort they make with your child will ensure that your little one will remember them forever. The best experience you would want for your child. The staff took care of my child like it was one of their own. It made it so easy for us to transition from stay at home parents to having a child in nursery from 8am till 6pm.
