Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Crocus Early Years Centre

I am very pleased that my son attends the Crocus Early Years Centre, staff are very caring and dedicated to the needs of the children and the resources are diverse and fun. My eldest daughter attended the nursery for 4 years, and we made the decision to give our son the same learning environment (despite the extra commute), as we know the setting is just excellent! Big thanks to the great manager and her super team!

We have had two little'uns at Bright Horizon in Saffron Walden and they have loved it! We're so sad to be moving on to big school. Our kids have absolutely loved it are always so excited to spend their day there. We will miss the whole team immensely! Thanks!!

We are so happy our daughter got a place here. From the first phone call to one year later we could not be happier, despite the pandemic. I trust all members of staff implicitly. They are confident, caring and fun but all so professional at the same time. They are open and reassuring too. We can go for weeks without needing to speak in detail but some days (like today) if they have a concern they raise it and I know how closely they will monitor my daughter and communicate. It's a really special team and we're so lucky to have them. (I should mention the fact that our daughter loves going full time too and is learning/playing/socialising lots.) Thank you!

We chose Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Crocus Early Years as it is local for us but also highly recommended by friends. Our son started the nursery in August 2020, he has settled in really well and we are really delighted with his progress. The staff have been absolutely brilliant in helping to learn and develop new skills and most importantly encouraging him with social interaction. He hasn't been around other children before and for him to say he enjoys going and playing with the other children listing off their names he has played with is so comforting for us. We can't thank the Pre-school team enough because they are always friendly, polite and communicates with us regularly especially if we have any queries. They go the extra mile.

Our second child is currently going through Crocus Bright Horizons and we really can’t speak highly enough about the care he receives and the experience that he has at the nursery. He looks forward to every day that he spends there and we are happy to leave him with the team, who are helpful, kind and experienced. We have seen extremely low turnover of staff and the manager has always tried to help us with our every request. As a working parent, it’s a relief to have a nursery like Crocus to help with our childcare and we would highly recommend it to all.

We chose Bright Horizons Saffron Walden Crocus Early Years Centre as it was right next to where I work but we were so lucky that it turned out to be the perfect place! My daughter has loved going since day one in the baby room and as soon as she is past the gate she doesn’t even look back. They all seem to know her well, not just her key worker, everyone who works there says a hello whenever they see her and seems to know her by name. The manager was really kind, sympathetic and accommodating when I reduced down a day as I was struggling with being away from her so much. I would recommend to anyone. I know she’s always safe and happy there.

Our son has settled in really well at the nursery. The staff have been so helpful with our queries, are really friendly and communicate regularly with any updates. He runs into the nursery every morning and is clearly very happy to be there! We couldn't ask for more.

We would really recommend this nursery. Everything is perfect, the food, the staff, the care and the activities.

My eldest, whom is now in Reception, started here when she was two and a half. Straight away she and us were made to feel like an extension of the family. Now my youngest whom is eighteen months old is also here and we couldn't be happier. Her needs are met, physically and emotionally and communication between them and us has remained open and consistent. The team have excelled over the past twelve months, dealing with day to day changes in legislation due to Covid-19. The nursery is always clean, the security and safety of all children is of paramount importance and the staff are wonderful. They all care and it is a privilege to be a part of what feels like a home from home for both of my children. A huge thank you to each and everyone of you.

My little boy always has a lovely time at nursery, the staff are friendly, caring and plan lots of fun activities to stimulate them. Given the recent challenges of lockdown and the fact he hasn't been able to socialise as normal, the staff have taken the time to integrate him at his own pace and make him feel comfortable and because of this he has settled in brilliantly.

The nursery has been absolutely wonderful for my little boy. He joined when he was 11 months and he loves it. The staff are kind but also work to help with discipline and growth. They are thoughtful and have really developed relationships with my son. He is very happy at the nursery and is thriving there. During the pandemic, the nursery have worked so hard to keep everything running. I would really recommend Bright Horizons Saffron Walden.

Both our children were at Crocus from babies until school age. We have always felt reassured that they were in a safe and nurturing setting. It has been lovely to see them blossom from all the stimulating activities and the close relationships they developed with both staff and peers. The staff produced amazing journals for my children over the time they were there which has been wonderful to look at with them - so many happy memories. I am very grateful for the care Crocus has provided and know that it has given my children a really good foundation for starting school.

My daughter has been going to this nursery since the beginning of August 2020 and she has settled in perfectly. The staff are so friendly and all take the time to get to know your child which definitely put me at ease that my daughter was being very well looked after. They spend time getting to know what your child likes and dislikes, and tailor their days as much as they can around their favourite activities. Since starting, my daughter's communication skills are coming on in leaps and bounds and she seems to really enjoy herself. It has been the perfect fit for us, we are very happy and would definitely recommend to others!

Both our children have been to this nursery and have been so happy during their time at the Crocus. We have had full confidence in the committed staff team who really seem invested in promoting the development and wellbeing of the children in their care. It is well managed and the resources available ensure that the children are always busy having fun and enjoy their days there. Staff are friendly in their approach and communication is good. As our child moves up to school, we are grateful to all the staff for all their hard work.

My son has been at the nursery for 2 years and has thoroughly enjoyed his time there. He is not the easiest child to deal with as he is so full of energy and not easy to sway once his mind is set on something. Over lockdown he was constantly asking after the staff in his room and if he was going into Nursery. He has now moved onto primary school, and on his first day, went in, a bit hesitantly, but full of confidence. I put that down to the wonderful staff in pre-school fully preparing him for the next stage in his journey. They have always had good communication with us, and always answered our questions. The support provided over lockdown was plentiful and relevant. I know that I shall miss going there.

My daughter was at a nursery previous to this and she really did not like it and she loves everyone and everything. We put her into bright Horizons in September 2019 and she has done nothing but thrive and come on leaps and bounds since. Her speech and socialisation is fantastic and she never wants to come home, she loves it so much. Special shout out to my daughter's key worker who is absolutely fantastic with her, especially when she has her meltdowns. The nursery is very well organised and structured with a full breakdown of your child's day time routine to include what they have done, eaten, any accidents etc. Would highly recommend this nursery to anyone and I am so sad to see her leave and go to school.

Fantastic. My daughter runs into nursery excited about her day. All the staff are smiley and friendly and know her. In days where she has a wobble, they are quickly there to reassure her. She gets great new experience and no two days are the same. Thank you for all you do.

Our son has had such a fabulous time at the Crocus nursery. The staff have been very professional whilst providing a very warm and fun environment. We feel he has been taken care of very well, and it is obvious from his development over the time he has been there, that he has had support, encouragement and lots of interesting things to do.
