Meadow View Day Nursery is a well-established purpose-built nursery, with a warm and friendly atmosphere.

There are four rooms which offer a stimulating and interactive environment and are divided into four different age groups.

Each room team has carefully planned routines to ensure that the needs of each individual child are met and exceeded.

The rooms have access to a lovely, landscaped garden with one area for children who are under two and the other which caters for older children. Each garden is well-equipped and tailored for the age range of the children with lawned areas, sandpits, mud kitchens and, for the older children, climbing equipment and a playhouse.

The nursery also has a dedicated Eco-Garden which all the children use in small groups to support learning about the environment and the world around them. Meadow View also offer the extracurricular activity of Tiny Mites who change their days to ensure all children have access to her.

There is a strong partnership with parents and as well as a Parent Partnership forum, there are regular events such as parent’s evenings and first aid training, together with fundraising activities for the nursery's adopted charity.

The children also have the opportunity to go on walks to the park and the local area, with visits to a local Care Home, which the children and residents thoroughly enjoy.

Meadow View has a strong community focus and being one of Childbase’s smaller nurseries, the caring and dedicated team give the nursery a real family feel.

Our son has a wonderful experience. He enjoys coming and has so much to talk about when he comes home. The day his class decided to offer a focus day on octopus and squid my son did not stop speaking about this for weeks.

As a first time mum, leaving your child at 9 months old anywhere with anyone is scary. But the team at Meadow View has made the transition really easy. Seeing my son learning and loving his past 6 months at nursery has not only been reassuring but to know the details of his day, makes being back at
work much easier. Our key person is just wonderful, she really knows my son and he loves going in every week. The attention to detail from her is amazing. All the staff are always friendly and welcoming, it's a nice place to be.

This is an excellent nursery and would highly recommend any parent to send their child here. My grandchild always looks forward to going to nursery and has made a lot of friends. The nursery itself is well thought out both inside and out. There are plenty of things to keep her occupied in all sorts
of weather. The food has an excellent choice and is well balanced. The staff are very friendly and always keep you informed about how her day went. They put on fares which are nice to visit for the day and get involved.

My son has been attending one session a week since Ladybirds and we've always appreciated the 'nothing is too much' attitude of everyone who has worked with him. He's now in Bumblebees and he loves it so much he's attending an additional session a week. Until a few weeks ago were concerned with his
willingness to engage with children his own age, but since we've raised it with his key person, we've been reassured and evidence of him playing and working with his peers is regularly uploaded to Parent Zone. It's these kind of personal touches we really appreciate. The regular updates and observations on Parent Zone allow us to see how closely his development is being monitored and has enabled us to notice more about his learning while he plays at home. Thanks for everything you do.

My son has been coming since he was just 1 year old after taking the decision he needed to socialise with kids of his own age. He is now 3.5 years and still loves going every time. The nursery have been so amazing for so, so many reasons, and just off the top of my head these are why:-
1. My son went
through a biting stage when he was 1 and the nursery staff helped, not only deal with it, but took the time to help us deal with it. He is our first son and as many parents (not many will admit) struggled. He soon came out of it and hasn't done it since. Without that support for him and us I believe we may have had a lot more problems.
2. Potty training - they helped us to encourage him and when the time was right it was an easy stage which I dreaded.
3. Weekly newsletters - these help us fill in the gaps of our sons time at nursery. And help us to work on things at home too.
4. Outside space - our son loves to be out and about exploring - they have helped him with the rules of outside play.
5. He has been hurt a couple of times - children being children and the way they deal with the children is amazing, making them understand actions and consequences. This helps my son learn if he was to do the same how he would be dealt with.
6. Room changes - always been smooth and without an issue to our son at all.
7. Food - love the variety.
8. Admin - any issue I have had has always been acknowledged and dealt with straight away, including funding and help with rooms.
9. Our son loves his learning journey with Meadow View and the staff, including admin, are amazing. I have now worry while I am at work that he is safe, cared for and having the best life!

Our little boy has been at Meadow View for nearly a year now and loves it! The staff are incredibly attentive; when he arrives in the morning he is always greeted by name by anyone that sees him.


They are always doing something new and exciting, which we are kept informed of through the app, telling

us what he eats, when he sleeps, what he has done that day and when he has had nappy changes. They are also happy to help provide advice when we ask about activities to help his development at home.


We feel like we are treated as a family and people, not just a user. The staff genuinely care about the children and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Meadow View to other parents.

Like most parents, I was so nervous my child was starting nursery, however I can honestly say it was the best thing we did. Our daughter has been at Meadow View for 18 months and has made tremendous progress in this time. She started as a shy and anxious toddler baby who hated to be left at nursery and is now an excited, loud and very confident preschooler who runs into nursery joyously, without a backwards glance! The confidence
and love that Meadow View staff have instilled in our daughter is apparent for all to see. Yes, the facilities are great, the building is clean and inviting, the food is delicious and nutritious and there are learning opportunities for the children everywhere...but for us, it’s the staff that shine at Meadow View as they genuinely care. They also foster great values in the children that enable them to have the social skills to make strong friendships at such an early age and great confidence and self-belief in themselves. We love and trust Meadow View and even though we have moved house to the other side of town, we couldn’t even contemplate moving our daughter from their care.

I cannot fault Meadow View.


My son comes in once a week but from the reception, he gets from all the staff, you'd think he comes in every day. All the staff are constantly happy and seem to love doing what they are doing. Nothing seems to be too big or small for them (we are currently potty training

and they are helping no end!) and even coming up with loads of different ideas when it comes to helping him develop.


I love getting the email updates telling me what he has eaten to what he has been doing throughout the day. He actually eats better than I do.


The manager and the team on reception are all fantastic too.

My son was always happy to go to Meadow View. He always received excellent care and I was never worried about leaving him there. His days were filled with well thought out activities. He enjoyed the food a lot! They prepared him very well for the transition to primary school.

Meadow View is such an incredible nursery.
My daughter and son both attended from 6 months old to when they went to school and they were both so happy at the nursery.
All of their key workers were amazing and they developed such strong bonds with them, along with the other members of staff.
It's
never easy leaving your children in someone else's care, but everyone at Meadow View really cared for them and really supported them.
They have a great app where they upload photos of your children so you feel like you are not missing out and whenever you pick your children up you always get really good feedback about what they have been doing that day.
At school their teachers have all commented at what a great foundation they have had in terms of learning at nursery and I really can't rate Meadow View highly enough.

Both of my children attend Meadow View and my eldest leaves this month to go to school.
The staff at Meadow view both past and present have been fantastic in the last four years. I have always felt comfortable to talk to the key worker and other members of staff about my son's progress or behaviour
etc and they have worked with me so that we are on the same page. My son has also enjoyed his time and is always very comfortable in the nursery.
Food is great, rooms are bright, the garden is fantastic always lots for the kids to do.
I can honestly say that we chose right in choosing Meadow View, and I look forward to seeing my youngest grow with them too.

My son has been going since he was about 1 year old, he started in the baby room and is finishing up in Pre-school. He has grown so much and the staff have been the best, being very attentive, encouraging and looking out for their every development need. I am happy to have chosen Meadow View for his
nursery setting, they are very happy to talk to you about anything you need to know and are very good with keeping up with every child's different needs/allergies/medicines and I know he has always felt settled there. He will miss them a lot when he moves up to school in September. I have never had any problems in the 3 years he has been there.

Danielle is the Manager of Meadow View Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the Early Years sector for 23 years. Danielle is NVQ Level 3 qualified. Danielle has worked at Childbase Partnership for 7 years.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
My favourite feature of the nursery is how all rooms lead onto the garden and as it's one of our smaller nurseries I love how each room has a home-from-home feel.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am most proud of how well the team works together throughout the whole nursery, engaging with all children and providing a positive engaging environment for all the children in our care.
