A purpose built day nursery, specified by Childbase to the highest quality standard. Developed on behalf of the Stoke Mandeville Hospital to care for children of the Trust employees and the local community, Willows provides a happy, sociable environment where every child is treated as an individual. Willows Day Nursery has obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award.

The nursery has five main playrooms for individual age groups, including sensory rooms and additional sleeping areas. Outside is a large, enclosed and fully equipped garden with separate areas for different activities including a baby garden with a decking area. There is also a forest school, running sessions Monday - Wednesday. In addition to the daily routines, Willows also offer the extracurricular activity of Char Char Chimps to their under 2’s. They attend every Friday from 2:30pm until 3:15pm.

My husband and I could not be happier with the service Willows are providing our children with. We love everything about it, from the friendly staff to the healthy food provided.
They have both come on so much but in particular, our son's confidence is growing every day. He talks non stop about the
fun they have and loves all of the activities. When he started he was very shy, as he had gotten used to being with me whilst I was on maternity leave, which made going back to work difficult, but Willows were so patient and really helped us adjust and he is so happy there - they both are!
We couldn't have chosen a better childcare provider and would recommend Willows to anyone.

Both our children have attended Willows since 2013 and have enjoyed their time immensely.

The standard and quality of care has been amazing and the key workers that have worked with my son have gone above and beyond to ensure that my child has had valuable learning experiences as well as having fun.
The high standards of training and management expectations are reflected through the quality
of care that the staff provide.
I would recommend to any parent to use Willows as they will not be disappointed.

Willows has always been a caring and fantastic nursery, having had two children go through Willows, they have always been excellent at looking after and stimulating my children.

Willows Day Nursery has proven to be a Godsend for us. We had to find a space at a month's notice and stumbled upon a real gem. Our 3yr old loves coming to 'preschool' every day, and even asks to come on her days off. The staff are all very kind, and clearly excellent at nurturing and developing the
children. Every day there are loads of different activities, and the older children are being prepared for 'big school' with several exciting events including a graduation party! The nursery is also very efficiently run, which means that all-round we know our child is happy and safe. Our 10month old has just completed settling in sessions and enjoys exploring the large space in the baby rooms. I can very highly recommend this place - the best nursery for miles (we looked at loads!).

My son has been attending the Willows for nearly 3 years and loves it there.
I can't thank the staff at Willows enough for helping us raise such a brilliant little boy.
The staff at Willows, the management team are always at their best, very welcoming, very approachable, everyone always has a smile
and it didn't take long for them to get to know me and my son.
When I leave my son at nursery, I can do so knowing that he will be cared for to a very high standard.
Willows provides various activities for both development and entertainment which keeps the nursery life interesting for him and provides an excellent start to his education. The nursery provides healthy eating, my son loves the food and he always asks for and gets more. Facilities are excellent but above all are the standards and professionalism provided by the staff. I am sure he will miss everyone when he leaves for school later this year.

I started using Willows Day Nursery when I had my first born, he was 6 months old. I have 7 children, all who have attended or are attending to this present day. I am pleased with the nursery and the staff. It is lovely to know the staff can approach me with an issue and I can approach them if I have
an issue, it feels like my second home. My children have really enjoyed attending the nursery. The staff don't get much credit for doing what they do, thank you for being part of mine and my children's lives, they have happy memories from attending the nursery. Thanks again Willows.

My daughter has been with Willows since she was just over one and I have found the care and education she has received in these formative years exemplary. She loves the nursery and I now get pushed out of the door when I drop her off! Now in the pre-school room, we can view her learning journal which
documents all the fun she's been having and the friendships she has formed. All the staff are lovely, very approachable, listen to what you are saying and the communication within the facility reliable and consistent. I have the utmost confidence that when I leave my daughter she is in a happy, safe and nurturing environment with people that she is familiar with.

My son loves coming to this nursery, he is a happy, content baby and is always full of smiles when I come to collect him.


I feel confident that he will get lots of care and attention when he is at Willows and he adores the staff in the room, especially his key person. I also know that any dietary

or personal preferences are adhered to and managed appropriately.


I would happily recommend this nursery to anyone and I'm pleased with how my son is progressing in his time here.

My daughter absolutely loves her time at nursery. She has been attending one day a week since she was 10 months old and has settled so well. The staff in the 'Caterpillar Room' are amazing, my daughter loves them all. They always made me feel so comfortable leaving her there every Tuesday. I am looking

I have found the nursery very welcoming and the staff very approachable. I like how it's made very clear who my child's keyworker is and she has made a lovely bond with her. I feel happy to drop my child off and know that she will be well looked after at willows.

I often pick my grandson up from the Willows nursery and just want to say if you are needing a nursery for your child then I would recommend the Willows. The children are very happy and do a lot of activities throughout the day... The staff are so good and have a good connection with all the children.
Well done the team and they always make me feel so welcome when I collect him.

My Son has been at the willows since he was 10 months old and he has just left to go to preschool. I can not express how great this nursery is and the staff are all outstanding and have a great connection with all the children. My son loved going to nursery and was very sad to say goodbye. He has become
a very bright little boy and the daily work that they do with the children is very good. I have some lovely photos of him throughout his stay with the willows. I am very sad to see him leave but with another baby, on way, I will be seeing you all again soon. A massive Thank you.

My daughter has been here since she was 9 months old, she is now 2. I have never had any concerns with her care and have always been made to feel reassured and confident in the care she receives at Willows. This is because of the competent staff but also because of how happy she is with the staff and
how excited she is when I pick her up. I am extremely happy with how the staff treat my daughter and the feedback I receive on a daily basis about how she has been. I feel they have a real interest in developing her and helping shape her as a person in a positive way.


I am also overwhelmed by how much she learns and I like that we get a weekly newsletter so we can practice the things she learns in the nursery at home, which we hope helps reinforce the learning.


All the staff are equally amazing and all very different which is good for her to experience different personalities. I am happy with all aspects of the nursery including admin staff and management.

The new parent app is really good, have done a range of observations and the detail is great to read. The app is easy to use and I love the fact that I can add things that we do outside of nursery. As my child only does 3 days at nursery it's really important that communication of his development is
easily accessible for both key worker at nursery and parents. I think it's a great success.

Jane is Manager of Willows Day Nursery in Aylesbury and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 24 years. Jane is Level 3 qualified and has worked for Childbase Partnership for 24 years.


What is your favourite feature of Willows?


My favourite feature of the nursery is the garden and Forest school area as we have recently had these renovated.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?


I am proud of how the team pull together when support is needed.
