The teaching staff identify individual children and treats them nicely, and helps them to improve the skills they require. They are dedicated and help us make her ready for school.
Communication is clear with the parent app and the weekly newsletters and the staff and the manager are always willing to help us with our queries anytime.
Throughout our 8 years, we have seen the nursery go from strength to strength, the way they handled Covid and the lockdowns was commendable, it is a warm, happy place where the children are loved, respected and have a lot of fun.
The things my daughter has learnt during her time, particularly in the Pre-School room, are impressive (from basic woodwork and languages to naming the planets and continents). We didn't send our children to Willows to push their early years education but they both came away with a wide knowledge of a variety of topics, very much ready to start school.
The new Forest School has been an excellent addition and was the highlight of my daughter's week, come rain or shine!
Willows children are happy, confident and most of all loved. We couldn't have asked for more.
Our daughter has been going to Willows for 3 months and has settled very well, The staff are friendly and professional. Out daughter loves going to nursery, she eats and sleeps well there. Her speech has improved greatly since going to Willos and she is more inquisitive and interested in playing with other children. We feel confident our daughter is being well cared for and would recommend Willos to any parent.
The staff is outstanding, careful and patient! I truly appreciate the help and support given.
My son has been at the nursery for a few years, he’s headed to school soon and we will really miss the nursery. The care has been exceptional! The staff are so lovely and the manager is quick to respond and support parents while being flexible.
We had our daughter for a couple of months at this nursery for two days a week but decided it was not the place for her. Some of the staff are very friendly and dedicated so I guess the experience can vary depending on who is the child’s key person, but I believe there is room for improvement for some of the staff when it comes to communication with parents, observing the child’s behaviour and reporting, as there is a platform available that can help even more communication with parents. We did have some posts but for the most part, they were published with massive delay (I would get a couple of posts in one day with what happened 3 weeks ago, two weeks ago, etc) and there was little variety in terms of activities (although there is a lot available in the room) The monthly learning stories were as well posted with a long delay, and included mostly excuses like “not yet settled in”, “was on holiday”, “English is her second language” etc and sometimes didn’t even have a learning story at all.
Thank you so much for your kind comments about members of staff and for taking the time to review our nursery. Parent feedback is vital to our efforts in continuously improving the nursery experience. With regard to communication, the number of posts on the Parent App follows Early Years Foundation...
The staff are all very friendly and loving towards the children and you can tell they really care about them! My child has come on in leaps and bounds in all aspects- movement, eating, social skills etc. he is so happy there and always happy to see the staff! I am so happy with the nursery and feel 100% confident in their abilities and in knowing my child is safe in their care. The food is well balanced and varied and there are a wide range of activities that I’ve seen my child participate in!
I can't thank Willows Day Nursery enough for all they have done and continue to do for my daughters! They have surpassed all my expectations of what to expect in a nursery and my children are thriving in their environment. The staff are always so helpful, friendly and knowledgeable that I never worry about my children being in their care. After a difficult time at a precious nursery, my wife and I were worried about starting again but we are so glad we have found Willows and know this is an environment they will continue to benefit from until they start school.
Amazing nursery! Could have not chosen a better one. Everyone there is amazing and our son is very happy. They really focus on the happiness and development of the child and make sure the transition from staying at home with the parents to full-time there is done as smoothly as possible.
My daughter has had excellent care in the caterpillar room. Lovely staff and a great variety of activities.
Willows Day Nursery has been fantastic for the development and growth of our youngest child. He struggles more than some children the same age in certain areas but Willows have been amazing in adapting to his needs and allowing him to still be included in the preschool group. Special mention should go to his keyworker who has been brilliant in finding ways to help his integration and genuinely cares about him. Also in particular one of the nursery practitioners who is always so positive about our child. Positivity is so important for children with SEN needs. Thank you, Willows.
Can't really think of a negative point about the nursery.
Staff are caring, supportive, enthusiastic and passionate about what they do every day with the children.
I would highly recommend and I am grateful for everything.
Both our girls are at Willows Day Nursery and they absolutely love it. They love going to nursery and are really happy there. They look forward to it every morning. We as parents are extremely pleased that our children are so well looked after and cared for and they feel that they belong to one big Willows family. Willows staff work so hard to ensure that they are happy and contented while encouraging lots of fun learning counting, reading, life skills and social skills.
The staff are excellent, so kind and caring and it is clear our son loves coming into the nursery. Activities set up follow children's interests and help to progress their learning. We could not be happier to have our son at Willows Day Nursery.
My little boy has attended Willows since 2018 and is now ready to move on to school. It has been such a lovely place for him to learn and grow. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff are all lovely and the relationships we have built along the way with his key workers have been caring and personal. I would have never been able to teach him as much as he has learnt to date and I am confident that his experience at Willows Day Nursery will allow him the brightest start when he starts school in September. I would highly recommend it! If it wasn't for our house move our youngest would have definitely enrolled here as well. I am so grateful for all the safe hands and warm hearts that have helped me raise a gentle, loving and confident little boy.
Willows Day Nursery is a great nursery, both my children attend the nursery and love coming. Staff are always welcoming and are very good at keeping us up to date with what our children are doing. The children do a wide variety of activities and have good relationships with their key workers.
We are very happy with the care our daughter has received over the last three years. Her development and social skills are a credit to the practitioners. We also love that every cultural celebration is recognised with extra events that include parents such as craft mornings and cream teas. Thank you!
Willows is like family. Our eldest has been here for 2 years and loves it. The staff are fantastic - friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. Our youngest starts here in a few weeks and we couldn't be happier about our choice of childcare setting.
Our son has been going to Willows for the last 6 months and loves it. The staff are all very caring and attentive. The facilities are great and there is a great variety of food available. We would highly recommend it.
Our child has been going to Willows since November 2021 and what drew me into choosing Willows was their amazing reviews and they are all spot on. The team are hard-working, kind, caring, friendly and patient to name a few of their star qualities. From the chefs, reception staff and the key worker's everyone is so lovely and loves the children, nothing is a bother to them. The food is varied and well balanced and my child is very happily full when she comes back. The key workers are nothing short of incredible. Not only do they interact and play all day long without tiring, but our baby has also learnt new words and actions since coming to Willows. She is always so happy to see us when we come and pick her up, she will even try to stay and show us all her toys and books.
