A purpose built day nursery, specified by Childbase to the highest quality standard. Developed on behalf of the Stoke Mandeville Hospital to care for children of the Trust employees and the local community, Willows provides a happy, sociable environment where every child is treated as an individual. Willows Day Nursery has obtained their Green Flag Eco-Schools Award.

The nursery has five main playrooms for individual age groups, including sensory rooms and additional sleeping areas. Outside is a large, enclosed and fully equipped garden with separate areas for different activities including a baby garden with a decking area. There is also a forest school, running sessions Monday - Wednesday. In addition to the daily routines, Willows also offer the extracurricular activity of Char Char Chimps to their under 2’s. They attend every Friday from 2:30pm until 3:15pm.

Willows Day Nursery has been fantastic for the development and growth of our youngest child. He struggles more than some children the same age in certain areas but Willows have been amazing in adapting to his needs and allowing him to still be included in the preschool group. Special mention should
go to his keyworker who has been brilliant in finding ways to help his integration and genuinely cares about him. Also in particular one of the nursery practitioners who is always so positive about our child. Positivity is so important for children with SEN needs. Thank you, Willows.

My son has attended Willows since 2018 at 6 months old and will now move to school. He has come so far in his development as a human being! Amazing!
Can't really think of a negative point about the nursery.
Staff are caring, supportive, enthusiastic and passionate about what they do every day with
the children.
I would highly recommend and I am grateful for everything.

Both our girls are at Willows Day Nursery and they absolutely love it. They love going to nursery and are really happy there. They look forward to it every morning. We as parents are extremely pleased that our children are so well looked after and cared for and they feel that they belong to one big
Willows family. Willows staff work so hard to ensure that they are happy and contented while encouraging lots of fun learning counting, reading, life skills and social skills.

My little boy has attended Willows since 2018 and is now ready to move on to school. It has been such a lovely place for him to learn and grow. We couldn't have asked for a better experience! The staff are all lovely and the relationships we have built along the way with his key workers have been caring
and personal. I would have never been able to teach him as much as he has learnt to date and I am confident that his experience at Willows Day Nursery will allow him the brightest start when he starts school in September. I would highly recommend it! If it wasn't for our house move our youngest would have definitely enrolled here as well. I am so grateful for all the safe hands and warm hearts that have helped me raise a gentle, loving and confident little boy.

Willows Day Nursery is a great nursery, both my children attend the nursery and love coming. Staff are always welcoming and are very good at keeping us up to date with what our children are doing. The children do a wide variety of activities and have good relationships with their key workers.

We are very happy with the care our daughter has received over the last three years. Her development and social skills are a credit to the practitioners. Willows is like family. Our eldest has been here for 2 years and loves it. The staff are fantastic - friendly, supportive and knowledgeable. Our youngest starts here in a few weeks and we couldn't be happier about our choice of childcare setting.

Our child has been going to Willows since November 2021 and what drew me into choosing Willows was their amazing reviews and they are all spot on. The team are hard-working, kind, caring, friendly and patient to name a few of their star qualities. From the chefs, reception staff and the key worker's
everyone is so lovely and loves the children, nothing is a bother to them. The food is varied and well balanced and my child is very happily full when she comes back. The key workers are nothing short of incredible. Not only do they interact and play all day long without tiring, but our baby has also learnt new words and actions since coming to Willows. She is always so happy to see us when we come and pick her up, she will even try to stay and show us all her toys and books.

Both of my children attend Willows Day Nursery and I cannot fault it at all. All the staff are so lovely and accommodating. As a mother, it is extremely reassuring that both of my children are happy at nursery and this is reflected through the pictures I get sent through the app and through the conversations
with the staff (which they always make time for). My children are always in a great mood when I pick them up, which can only mean that they’ve had a wonderful day. Keep up the great work girls!

The team are very attentive and really look after my children. I can go to work knowing that they are safe and in a happy environment. I like the extra events they have (book day, Valentines etc.) as my children enjoy participating in this.

Our daughter has been at Willows for six months now and the progress she has made is astounding. She joined with a speech delay but now has picked up not only words but the relevant Makaton signs as well. It is so reassuring seeing her so happy to come to nursery every morning. The staff are amazing
with her and this is shown through the love she shows them and them to her. Cannot fault them in the slightest!

We couldn’t be happier with this lovely nursery. Our child is welcomed and greeted by name as soon as she arrives by all members of staff, and everyone seems to know how she is doing and what she has been up to. It’s so comforting to know she is well cared for and she always has a big smile on her face
at the end of a busy day. The opening hours being slightly longer than most nurseries are also so handy. Thank you to all Willows staff for making this anxious Mummy’s return to work that bit easier!

My son attended Willows Day Nursery as a baby. He progressed through each room and completed his journey here before heading to school.
From the day I put my son on the waiting list and all through his journey here the admin staff have been so attentive and kept me informed in regards to updates in
the nursery, weekly newsletters and other personal admin. They really go above and beyond and are always so welcoming at the reception.
My son's journey through nursery has been smooth thanks to you all. All the staff are friendly and approachable. My son has thoroughly enjoyed his time here. The quality and variety of food provided are outstanding as well as the facilities and resources.
He has learnt so much and I'm truly grateful for each and every one of the staff in the rooms for all the encouragement and support you provide to allow the children to reach their full potential. As a parent, I have been kept informed and updated about my child's development through the app.

We have recently moved our child to Willows from another nursery as we felt it was not the right fit. We had friends recommend Willows to us and attend their most recent open day. The staff were so incredibly friendly and welcoming, answering all our questions and concerns and making us feel at ease
about how they would care for our child. We were anxious, having not had a good experience elsewhere, however, we needn't have been. The staff have gone above and beyond to make sure we all feel comfortable. It is not easy leaving your child with strangers, especially as first-time parents and the staff at Willows understand this. The level of communication we receive through the days our child is there is fantastic. We receive regular photos as well as notifications about sleep and meals. This has really put our minds at ease to see how well our child is settling in and bonding with the staff. We would highly recommend Willows to any parents/carers.

I cannot praise all the staff at Willows Day Nursery enough. My son has been attending Willows since 2018 and during this time he has required a lot of support and extra care due to Down Syndrome. Willows has shown nothing but support and care for us as a family which is greatly appreciated. Our son
loves all the staff and can't wait to go to nursery in the mornings.

My daughter has attended willows for over 2 years and has been very happy there. Kind, caring staff and a safe environment with lots to keep little ones occupied. I feel the environment has helped her learn and grow. She is leaving soon and we will be sad to say goodbye to everyone.

What is your favourite feature of Willows?


My favourite feature of the nursery is the garden and Forest school area as we have recently had these renovated.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?


I am proud of how the team pull together when support is needed.
