At Little Pioneers Maidenhead Nursery there are four rooms within the nursery split into the following age groups: two rooms for the 0- 2 year olds, one room for the 2 to 3 year olds and one room for the 3 to 5 year olds.

They are silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making small changes that deliver big environmental differences. They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to make their own decisions to making a difference in the world.

They are big on happy children and that's why the have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world. They are also big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

Their app, ParentZone, keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress.

The nursery has two large, secure, private garden areas. There is a play house and a variety of outdoor equipment including bats, balls, bikes and a climbing frame with a slide and a tunnel. The children also have an allotment area where they learn how to take care of plants, herbs, vegetables and flowers and enjoy watching them grow.

The team have welcomed my one year old daughter with warmth and enthusiasm. They take great care - the Little Explorer room is a stimulating environment with lots to do - the app keeps us up to date and communication with the team at drop off and pickup is clear and thoughtful.

It's always nice to see my son enjoying himself when I go to pick him up. The feedback on the day is always positive so it's nice to know he's in good hands. The communication is brilliant (phone, in person or on the app) and there is always someone ready to cuddle him if he has hurt himself (or when
he is being dropped off in the morning). The staff outdo themselves especially when activities are organised for the children., especially when they include the parents as well (eg biscuit decorating for Christmas). All in all a good well rounded caring nursery that my son enjoys!

Having recently changed to this nursery we have been so happy. The range of activities the children can participate in is incredible. Our daughter flourished within a couple of days. The staff are kind and helpful and the communication about what is happening is excellent. Huge thank you for everything.

Really lovely preschool, with great facilities and activities. My daughter is very happy there and is learning a lot ahead of starting school in September. I would personally prefer that they were more strict with discipline from day one, rather than making activities like registration optional, especially
as this stage is preparing them for school where it won't be optional. My only other issue is with the food, as most meals are very mixed up and there is not a choice, everyone is given the same. In my experience when you have a big eater who likes plainer food they generally come home hungry! If it wasn't for this we would definitely have increased her sessions as the start of primary school gets closer, as we'd originally planned. Otherwise, it is certainly a very happy and secure environment, the feedback you receive on your child's development is excellent and any queries you raise are dealt with promptly.

My son started the nursery during coronavirus. It was hard handing him over to the carers at the door but after a week and a bit, he was happy to go to nursery. He is always running out with a smile on his face when we pick him up and has lots of exciting things to tell us about his day. They do lots
of different activities with kids and you always feel like you can chat to the carers about his day when picking up. The app used by the nursery to upload daily activities (sleep, nappy changes, food eaten) and monthly observations is fantastic!

Regular daily updates on the app. A recap of the day from the key worker when you collect your child. Breakfast and dinner provided which help ensures your child is fed. A large range of indoor and outdoor activities for your child and they change as your child gets older.

This is a proper, professionally run nursery in a bespoke setting. Being part of the coop group there’s also backing and a sense of proper procedures and processes in place. Children are generally happy and encouraged to play and learn to their fullest.
Parents moving children from smaller setups
and informal mom and pop style settings will appreciate the rigour and processes.
I have no trouble recommending the nursery to new parents.

The staff are wonderful, the activities are fab, we just couldn’t ask for anymore in a nursery and for our daughters first venture into finding friends and learning. I have two children that attend this nursery my youngest has been there since he was 3-months-old and will be 2 very soon thanks to the girls and all their hard work his development has come on leaps and bounds, especially his speech. My eldest will be going to school this year and again thanks to the
pre-school staff and their amazing work she is so ready for a massive step. All the staff know my children and treat them like their own. And my kids absolutely adore them all.

Very well organised nursery and fantastic staff! Home away from a home!
This is a lovely nursery, very well organised and the staff are extremely caring and provide comfort to my son. They are very responsive especially if you are a worried first-time parent in the current pandemic. Health and safety
is of paramount to the manager. Staff put you at ease and keep you updated on your little one. My son has settled in well and is happy going in. He is provided with the right educational stimulation and a variety of play. Lots of garden time and fresh air. The menu is varied and very healthy. There is a chef on-site so all meals are cooked fresh. Would recommend!

Little Pioneers is a fantastic nursery. The facilities are very good the rooms are big and each class has its own large outdoor space much larger than you would expect. The staff are friendly and very nurturing and the food is freshly made and is healthy and varied. Our daughter has been in each of
the rooms from baby to pre-school and has transitioned through each setting easily. Pre-school is a great environment/fun but lots of learning through play. We have seen her confidence and social interaction grow.

We absolutely love our nursery and all the staff! My son is coming up to 3 years old and has been attending Little Pioneers for 1 and a half years which has given him experience within "Little Adventurers (1-2 yrs)", "Little Creators (2-3)" and now transitioning to pre-school. Through this time, he
has shown amazing improvement in his development from walk, to speech, to expressing, sharing, counting, even toilet training as a result of great work and carer support/encouragement. And our biggest measure of happiness is the little boy who looks forward to his "school days" to play with children and his carers which he calls his "friends". The advice and support management and staff offer has been a tremendous value to us, and we cannot recommend Little Pioneers enough!
