Mulberry Day Nursery is a beautiful property converted to create a happy, sociable nursery where every child is treated as an individual. Much of the character has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class facilities.

The nursery has four main playrooms for individual age groups with sensory areas and quiet areas. There is a discreet CCTV system which enables parents to view their children when they first settle into nursery life, and an intercom system for security.

Outside there is a fully enclosed (safety surface) garden with age appropriate activities featuring a Mud Kitchen, construction area, gardening area, sandpit, music area, art studio, digging area, bug hunting area and an outdoor classroom. The nursery has a new Roof Garden which was completed in 2013. They have now achieved their Green Flag for Eco Schools.

Mulberry is excellent. The staff are so good with our daughter, making her feel welcome and supporting her. She is always talking about activities especially actions kids and singing and her teachers. She loves everybody and is made to feel at ease. Special mentions to the staff our daughter is your

My daughter just started nursery. Although I was very anxious about how she will settle, the staff was really nice and helpful. They are trying their best to accommodate my requests and wishes. I am extremely happy with the management of the nursery. They are amazing in problem-solving in a timely manner.
The only thing I can mention as an improvement point is communication between the staff and level of training.

We have used Mulberry Day Nursery to care for our sons for 3 years and will continue to use them for another 3 years! We love the facilities, the learning and the opening hours which make our working arrangements work. The staff are genuinely amazing, they have a special place in our children's hearts.
They are attentive, intuitive and having a genuine interest in the kid's growth and development.
We have also really appreciated that the staff rotate around the rooms so there is always a familiar face. The parent Zone app is also fantastic so you never miss out on what they get up to!!

My daughter started at Mulberry when she was 6 months old. Over the last 6 months, the care and attention she has received have enabled her to grow, develop and flourish. This has made returning to work a smooth process knowing that my daughter is settled and secure at the nursery. This has been achieved
by the excellent staff based in Caterpillars who demonstrate genuine warmth and care. We always look forward to nursery in our house, it's the best start to our week.

My son has been at Mulberry Nursery for 6 months and I have been delighted by his progress.
He is extremely fond of the staff and is genuinely happy to arrive every morning. His speech and counting have come on leaps and bounds since joining.
The menu is extremely varied and healthy also. The children
spend a lot of time outside and Action Kids is a big favourite. Have already recommended to several local families.

We are very sad to leave such a good nursery. The twins started at 11 months and we are now leaving (aged 2 years 9 months). The girls started because I needed a break (having no family in the UK) and I was able to get that joining. At Mulberry everyone smiles every morning and seem genuinely happy
to work with kids and in Mulberry I always knew the girls were safe. I really like the fact that the staff are consistent and the girls knew all the staff when leaving.

My son has been with mulberry from before 2 years old and ever since the staff have been really good at helping him settle and develop in all respects, especially in his confidence in being independent. We are very happy about our child coming to Mulberry. We feel relaxed and comfortable dropping him every morning. Our child has settled very quickly and very nicely.

Our son has settled into Mulberry Nursery really quickly and absolutely loves his key workers and staff in his room. They have a lot of outdoor play time which is great and the indoor activities are fantastic too - very varied, structured, educational but always with a lot of fun.
Great new healthy
menus too and very engaged staff and management.
I'm very happy with Mulberry and so is our son.

We have been meaning to write to say how happy we have been over recent weeks with the progress our daughter is making and in particular to pay tribute to the excellent work the daycare practitioner is doing with her.
Our daughter is becoming more vocal by the day and while there is a long way to go
in terms of catching up, she does appear to be closing the gap. We can really see the devotion and commitment the daycare practitioner is showing towards our daughter and our daughter is picking up on this enthusiasm and has clearly bonded well with her.
This is just the kind of attention that our daughter needs and we are delighted that Mulberry is being able to provide it.

Kristina Edgson

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2015

Kristina is the Manager of Mulberry Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 16 years. Kristina has an NVQ Level 3 and NVQ Leadership and Management and has worked at Childbase since 2015.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
I really like the homely feel we have here and that it feels like a second home for so many. I like our Preschool room and the fact it has lots of different rooms so the children can focus on different things in each space. They also have their own outdoor terrace upstairs to be able to explore things they can’t necessarily do in the shared garden. Our main priority in the nursery is to help the children feel safe and secure so they are able to thrive throughout their learning. We have a large outdoor space which we utilise a lot and ensure the children experience the outdoors in all weathers.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am really proud of my team for the way they build bonds with the children and make the nursery feel like this is their second home too. We have achieved our Eco Flag with distinction which the children are passionate about. We really enjoy getting to know all our families and making the parents just as at home as the children.
