Mulberry Day Nursery is a beautiful property converted to create a happy, sociable nursery where every child is treated as an individual. Much of the character has been retained to provide spacious and interesting rooms with first class facilities.

The nursery has four main playrooms for individual age groups with sensory areas and quiet areas. There is a discreet CCTV system which enables parents to view their children when they first settle into nursery life, and an intercom system for security.

Outside there is a fully enclosed (safety surface) garden with age appropriate activities featuring a Mud Kitchen, construction area, gardening area, sandpit, music area, art studio, digging area, bug hunting area and an outdoor classroom. The nursery has a new Roof Garden which was completed in 2013. They have now achieved their Green Flag for Eco Schools.

Even though my little one started at Mulberry in the middle of the pandemic, the staff did their utmost to help me feel comfortable leaving my then 5 month old with them for full days of nursery.


The food is amazing, the activities planned for each day keep the little ones engaged and the updates

through their parent portal are great to ensure we as parents don’t miss out on what our little ones get up to.


8 months later, my little lady loves going to nursery and is so excited when I drop her off in the mornings.

I made a move to Mulberry Day Nursery from another nursery as I was so dissatisfied with the previous one. Mulberry staff are made of honest, genuine, experienced and most importantly from caring people. I see the nursery manager and deputy manager very often in the room where my baby is and this shows
how close they are with kids and the staff (not like other nursery managers who have no idea what’s going in the rooms).
To be honest, no further comment as you will feel the atmosphere when you meet staff and kids. It is like coming from three-stars hotel to five-stars hotel!
I see happy kids and happy families!
Lots of activities and games on going and my baby boy is so happy there!
Let’s give an improvement area though, the parking on the street is sometimes difficult so hoping the nursery opens their car park to visitors (closed due to the Covid) so there is more space to park!

My three year old daughter has been attending Mulberry Day Nursery (Maidenhead) since she was eleven months old. She has progressed through the nursery and is now in the pre-school room. Due to Covid-19 she has had extended leave from the nursery since November 2020 and has not spent time with anyone
other than her immediate family. She returned to Mulberry Day Nursery (Maidenhead) at the beginning of February 2021 and I can honestly say that she has coped with the change to her routine and care so well. The staff have been sensitive and supportive of this transition and have enabled her to restart her attendance with confidence and joy, whilst reassuring me that she is engaging with staff and peers well. I could not recommend this nursery enough and am certainly thankful for their ongoing support and professionalism at this difficult time.

Fabulous nursery, really caring and lovely staff. My son started off, and now my daughter attends and both thoroughly enjoyed the huge range of activities, toys and garden play. They have such a wide range of equipment and always thinking of new ideas.
During this challenging tiume, the staff
have gone above and beyond and really made birthdays for example, very special occasions.

We have been so impressed with the way Mulberry Day Nursery have looked after our two children, particularly during the Covid-19 pandemic. The nursery's response has been excellent, placing a priority on everyone's safety and wellbeing. Key workers, caterers and management clearly care about the children
and are always open to looking at ways to keep improving.

Mulberry nursery is simply amazing! The staff are incredibly experienced and talented. They have settled in my daughter so well. She comes bounding out after having a wonderful day full of different experiences. She has learned so much already in the short time she has been there. The food is exceptional,
and she receives a wide range of different tastes.
I cannot explain how happy we are - thank you to everyone who works there. In these very difficult times, they remain positive and incredibly committed.

Our daughter has been at Mulberry for a year now, starting from when she was just under 1. She is blossoming into a happy, confident little girl and this is testament to the fantastic staff at the nursery, who genuinely care for the children and seem to love their work. I'd also add that the nursery
has not put a foot wrong during the pandemic - communication throughout has been first-rate and the protocols reassuring. Full marks to all concerned.

My son has absolutely loved this time at the Mulberry Day Nursery, caterpillars room. His development has come on in leaps and bonds since joining and he has learnt to be a kind little boy. It is testament to the staff who are obviously very kind and caring. I only wish he could stay longer.

My son has been attending Mulberry since he was 12-months-old. At the start I was very anxious about leaving him and returning to work and it wasn't helped when he was so upset at drop off. The staff were so supportive to both of us and it wasn't long before he was settling in and enjoying himself each
day. He has now been there for 3 years and I cannot thank the staff enough for all their continued support throughout these important years. He has grown to be a very confident little boy and is now ready for his next chapter at school. He loves the staff and the nursery has felt like part of our extended family, I know we are both going to miss them all. If you have any doubts, speak to the staff as they are so supportive to both the children and parents. The meals are amazing and my son frequently asks me to make something that he has had at nursery. I would highly recommend to any parent and child.

Our second home! The team is amazing. They focused on my son’s development areas. When he started to the nursery he was eating nothing, now he is eating perfectly. He is perfect with his friends! We can’t thank you enough! We’ll miss you all!

Really love this nursery for 3 big reasons.
1. Fantastic homemade food with varied and healthy menu changes frequently. Always given a proper meal without the reliance on sandwiches reported elsewhere.
2. Staff. Energetic, bubbly but firm when needed. Feel they genuinely love kids.
3. Outdoor space.
It's brilliant and they spend as much time as they can outside. Each age group has its own area.

We are incredibly happy with this nursery, the level of attention and effort that the staff put in is amazing. Each session they come up with new activities and learning for your children. They have also handled the disruption with the virus excellently.

This place is fantastic! We had a bad experience else and didn’t feel very confident about leaving our boy. But now, I feel bad if I don’t take him. He loves it so much and everyone is super friendly to all of us. Nothing is too much trouble, I’m actually waiting to get him in on an extra day as well.
They really do go the extra mile. The meals they make are healthy but still fun. And they have lots of outdoors time which is super important to us. As I’m guessing you can tell after being there 8 months. I couldn’t recommend this place highly enough!

My son loves coming into nursery and always talks fondly of his teachers and friends. They have helped immensely to build his confidence around others using methods of show and tell and encouraging him to speak more in front of others. Most of all he says how fun it is and always comes home teaching
me new things he has learnt.

My son started attending Mulberry when he was 9 months old and since he has been there I have nothing but praise for the staff as he is happy when dropped off and always smiley when I pick him up, so he must be enjoying his time there. The girls are all fab and are so caring with the children. He gets
involved in so many activities too far more than we manage at home.

Kristina Edgson

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2015

Kristina is the Manager of Mulberry Day Nursery and has a wealth of experience, having worked in the early years sector for 16 years. Kristina has an NVQ Level 3 and NVQ Leadership and Management and has worked at Childbase since 2015.


What is your favourite feature of your nursery?
I really like the homely feel we have here and that it feels like a second home for so many. I like our Preschool room and the fact it has lots of different rooms so the children can focus on different things in each space. They also have their own outdoor terrace upstairs to be able to explore things they can’t necessarily do in the shared garden. Our main priority in the nursery is to help the children feel safe and secure so they are able to thrive throughout their learning. We have a large outdoor space which we utilise a lot and ensure the children experience the outdoors in all weathers.


What are you most proud of about your nursery/team?
I am really proud of my team for the way they build bonds with the children and make the nursery feel like this is their second home too. We have achieved our Eco Flag with distinction which the children are passionate about. We really enjoy getting to know all our families and making the parents just as at home as the children.
