You and your child will love the spacious Highams Park Day Nursery and Preschool, where every aspect, from the enriching activities to the carefully planned learning environments, is designed to support the development of your child from birth to 5 years.

In line with the Early Years curriculum, Higham Park's unique Growing Enhancements Programme focuses on reading, writing and mathematics, as well as creative skills such as gardening, art and cookery. All the activities are designed to encourage your child’s natural curiosity to learn and inspire their interests, helping to lay the foundations for future academic and creative achievements and support their transition from nursery to school.

The long-standing, dedicated staff plan each day with the help of the children, tailoring activities to their interests and listening carefully to their views. No day is ever the same with the team - from planting and watching things grow in the vegetable patch, to enjoying sensory play with foam and ice, cooking activities and even yoga!

The team love encouraging the children to explore and the large garden gives them room to learn, play and develop their love of the outdoors. With a useful undercover area, they have access to the outdoors at all times and in all weathers.

Onsite parking is available for drop-offs and pick-ups and they are situated close to Highams Park station, with links into central London. The teams efforts to deliver exceptional care and education have been recognised by Ofsted, who have rated the nursery Good in their latest inspection.

The team would love to meet you and your little one, so book a visit today and they will show you everything the nursery has to offer during your own personal tour.

The staff are all excellent that I've come across in the toddler room where my son is. They are the most friendly nurturing staff who really care about the children.
The outdoor play space is excellent and the children often play out for a lot of the day which is great to be outside. There's mud kitchens
and other toys.
We couldn't be happier with the nursery - it is a very nurturing environment and my son has made great connections with the staff and children.

Our child started in the toddler room and is now in the preschool room and has had such wonderful support in both places, as well as from all the other staff in Bright Horizons Highams Park Day Nursery and Preschool. We have all felt supported through transitions and phases of learning and feel confident
in leaving her in their care. We look forward to our second child starting there and also benefiting from the care and learning. We especially appreciate the crafts, recognition of various holidays and cultures and time for play.

Third child currently in toddler room, our older two having graduated in the last three and a half years. Can't fault anything, all have had/are having a great experience and the nursery has set them up really well for the transition to reception.

My son is always happy to come to nursery and loves all the staff and his friends. He is increasingly confident, chatty and independent. Really growing into his own - the amount of activities and learning topics they cover are brilliant! The food is varied and delicious too. Thanks everyone, highly
recommend and trust you!

Our toddler loves going to his Bright Horizons Highams Park Nursery and Preschool because the staff are so friendly and caring and they do lots of fun and creative activities. The nursery has excellent and thorough management. The waiting time to get a place was two and a half years but it was worth
it. The outside play area is slightly on the smaller side but it doesn't seem to bother the kids at all.

I cannot express enough gratitude for the incredible staff at my son's nursery. The nursery staff go above and beyond to support us. Their compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication are nothing short of extraordinary.
They provide excellent care for our son but also offer emotional support
for our entire family.
Their commitment to maintaining open communication, keeping us informed about our son's day-to-day activities, and being readily available to address any concerns or provide updates were invaluable to us. Their genuine care and unwavering support extended beyond the walls of the nursery, making us feel like we were part of a caring and compassionate community.
I cannot thank the staff enough for their kindness, generosity, and genuine concern for our well-being during a challenging time in our lives. Their dedication to their profession and their genuine love for the children in their care make them true heroes in our eyes.

My son has started the nursery a month ago, the staff has supported him and us to settle into nursery so well. Just being at the nursery, he has been so busy with all the different activities they provide. The communication is brilliant in what he been doing during the day as well as what he has been
learning. Thank you.

Our son has been going to this nursery for 6 months now and they have been absolutely brilliant with him. His progress has been exceptional for the 3 days a week he goes. All of the staff are super friendly and helpful and the facilities are excellent. We can monitor his daily food intake, sleep, nappies
and pictures of activities through their mobile app. The food they give the children is varied and well-balanced. We couldn't ask for more from a nursery.

I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Highams Park. I’ve had 2 children at the nursery and have been through all the rooms (babies, toddlers and preschool). Both mine have loved it. The staff are so caring, reassuring and on the ball, they really know the children and look after them so well. They
do tons of fun activities and help prepare the kids for school. We feel really lucky!

Highams Park Nursery is lovely. The staff really do care about all the children and families! They were very supportive and flexible during our daughter's settling in and have always been there to give advice on everything, from simple changes in routine to toilet training. We are kept up to date with
our daughter's learning with regular development reviews and observations as well as daily updates about activities, sleep, food and nappy changes/toilet visits all within the family app, allowing me and my partner to check how our little one is doing at any time of the day. Our daughter absolutely loves being at the nursery, she talks about the staff and her friends and the activities they have been doing all the time at home!

My son has been going to the nursery since he was 8 months old. At first, he found settling in difficult, but the staff in babies did their best to help him settle. Over the years he has really come out with his personality and is now a very confident little boy. He has loved being at nursery and all
the staff has been like a second family to him. He has recently started school and has said that he misses his nursery.

Our little boy has now been with Bright Horizons for approaching two years, from toddler just turning 2 years old to current preschool, just turned 4 years old, going to school in September. During this whole time, the service and quality of care he has received has been exceptional. Firstly, the attention
to detail and care for all the children at the nursery is of the very highest standard, especially during the pandemic. The levels of care and professionalism shown in such difficult circumstances, was incredible. But also, the learning and development of our boy, getting him ready for school, has been so amazing to see. Also, a great effort has been made for the mental well-being of all the children in the nursery, which again is great to see. Cannot recommend it enough and thank you to all the team at Bright Horizons, Highams Park.

We hear the names of the staff on a daily basis and referenced most evenings, whilst our daughter is settling in her cot and running through all of her key people in her life. Too cute! She adores you all and is always so excited to spend a day with you. Thank you so much for making our baby girl so
happy and comfortable with you all, we always know she is in great hands and we’ve seen her come on leaps and bounds since she started nursery. You are all a huge part of her life and a contributor to the wonderful little personality, she is becoming.

I have had my older child in the nursery previously and my youngest is there now and I can honestly say I cannot fault the care that the team at Highams Park give the children. Having had both children there throughout the pandemic, as well as before and after it, the care that they have provided is
exceptional. The team are passionate, invested in the children's learning and welfare and just so caring towards them and the children just love all of the staff regardless of the room they are in! I am so glad we moved to this nursery. Would highly recommend it.

We have been really impressed with Bright Horizons, Highams Park Day Nursery. Our daughter joined when she was 11 months old and our impression is that she really enjoys being there. She smiles and shows excitement when seeing the staff each morning and the photos that we see on the app show her having
lots of fun. We have also noticed huge developments in our daughter's language skills and gross motor skills in the three and a half months that she has been attending the nursery. We know how hard the staff in the baby room have been working on developing her crawling and walking skills. All the staff and management at Highams Park Day Nursery are very friendly, personable and we have been really grateful for all the quick and reassuring communication that we receive. We especially love all the artwork that our daughter brings home! We genuinely could not be happier with the nursery placement for our daughter. Thank you to everyone at Highams Park Day Nursery!

My son has been attending the nursery for over a year and joined the baby room. He started in August 2020 and due to Covid-19 there wasn't a settling period where parents could stay with their child. I was a little apprehensive at first, however he settled in pretty quickly. The staff were amazing and
they provided regular updates during the settling period, which put my nerves at ease. We receive a daily update at pickup, how my son has been throughout the day, what he has had to eat and what activities he participated in, along with a daily sheet. Every couple of months we have a virtual catch up due to Covid-19, with his key worker to discuss his development and areas which we would like them to focus on. We get a chance to look through his book which contains pics of him and an update on his progress. What more can you ask for. I would recommend Bright Horizons Highams Park Day Nursery and Preschool to parents thinking about sending their children to this nursery.

Current Review Score: 8.8 (8.792)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.8 (8.792) out of 10 for Bright Horizons Highams Park Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.700 for Bright Horizons Highams Park Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (51 Excellents x 5) + (17 Goods x 4) + (2 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 70 Ratings = 4.7
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.092 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons Highams Park Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 61 number of registered child places is 12.2. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 12.2 = 0.492
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
