My daughter attends Woodlands, and has done for the last 18 months. I have been very happy at the level of care and support she/we receive.


The management and staff are excellent.


The nursery is clean, and there are lots of activities and learning for the children to get involved in.


I have

no hesitation in recommending it to other families.

My 18 month old twin boy and girl are attending Woodlands two days a week. They have settled in so quickly which as a parent is a huge relief. I know how well cared for and loved by the staff they are.
Weekly they engage in activities including painting, creating, playing in the sandpit etc. It
allows them the time to interact with other children and also to build relationships with other adults.
We are thrilled with the care being provided to our children and could not recommend highly enough.

Our son has been at Woodford Woodlands full time since 11 months old, and now he is 3.5 years old. He took a while to settle in as a baby, but since then he loved going to nursery every day, learning and having fun with the staff and children. He has made great friends at Woodlands, and the staff are
warm and welcoming. He is well looked after and we get on well with the friendly staff. We are glad we have sent our son to Woodford Woodlands and have recommended to others.

My daughter joined the nursery at the age of 13 months (she is nearly 4 years old now) when I went back to work full time and was very anxious to leave my child in a new strange environment. Woodlands staff was very helpful with settling in sessions and then at every stage in different age groups always.
They always kept us updated with daily activities, progress and development. Nutritious menus are very carefully planned for all seasons with regular updates about every day's menu plan and child's intake to parents. Overall nursery environment is very hygienic and friendly. Staff members and managers are always keen to discuss if we needed to discuss or understand our child's learning/development plan. We were given regular access to record book and pictures showing her daily activities. I highly recommend this nursery and I would not consider going to any other nursery for my child's care.

I have two children who attend Woodlands two days a week, I am extremely happy with the care they receive. They are always happy to be dropped off and never seem to want to come home at the end of the day!!!
The staff really care about the children and take such an interest in their development. We
are inundated with artwork along with whatever they have baked/cooked that week. I feel both children are reaching their full potential and I can’t thank Woodlands enough.

This nursery was recommended by a Nanny who had worked there. I was very nervous at 1st, but needn't have been.
From the moment I contacted the nursery, I was met with warmth and genuine kindness. Almost like they understood how hard it was as a parent to leave your children in the care of others for
such a long period of time. That working mum guilt that never goes away.


My children have never been happier... They go to nursery with excitement and never want to leave in the evenings.


The model of warmth and kindness flows throughout the nursery from the management to the staff, cook and cleaner.


My girls are continually coming home with new things that they have learnt and speak highly of all their teachers. The setting too works very well.


As a parent you search forums and read countless reviews to ensure you pick the right place for your child, hoping to get it right... Trust me this is a VERY, VERY Good choice. We are very sad to be leaving for infants in September

Woodlands is clean and well presented. Staff are friendly and approachable. There is an onsite chef who prepares meals fresh daily. All nappies and formula included, which differentiates it from many other nurseries.
Our daughter gets on well with the other children and staff there and we've seen
the significant positive impact it's had on her development.

My daughter has attended Woodlands since she was 9 months old (now 3 years and 2 months). I have constantly been happy with the level of care she has received. The staff are outstanding and really care about what they do, which shows with the happy kids they look after.


It's daunting sending your

children into someone else's care, but my mind is always at rest with Woodlands, from the very first show round right to the present day. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds and really enjoys all the messy play and baking activities!

My daughter has now been at Woodford Woodlands Day Nursery for five months and she absolutely loves it. The staff are great and have been very supportive, especially during the settling in period.
The nursery has a great welcoming atmosphere and everything is designed around the children. My interactions
with the management team have been brilliant from day one and their passion for children is evident.
I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone looking for a comfortable, safe and caring environment for their child.

Lovely Nursery. Our boy has attended since he was 1 year old and is now 3.
His development here has been amazing, he was a shy boy but has really found confidence here.
The staff have worked with me to help progress skills over the years such as feeding and potty training. He loves going to Nursery
and has made some great friends. He talks about the staff fondly and the ladies that work in his room are very friendly and professional.

My eldest son first started at Bright Horizons Woodlands Day Nursery in December 2011 and my youngest will leave in August 2017. I am so pleased that we picked Woodlands to care for our sons whilst we have been working. The staff are what makes Woodlands so special and the consistency in the management.
I am so grateful for the happiness of my children when they are not with me and for the standard of their care. Both boys have loved the food at nursery and enjoyed their cookery lessons too. And there is a high value placed on outdoor play.

I've had 2 children attend Woodlands and I'm very happy with the care and service there. My children are happy and learning every day. The meals are healthy and fresh. The staff have been extremely supportive during a very difficult time in our lives and I cannot thank them enough. It's always the people
that make the difference and in Woodlands this is very much apparent. The management takes the time to get to know parents and families properly and definitely go the extra mile to make things easier. It's so refreshing to think of the team as friends as we've got to know them so well over the years.

My son was 7 months old when he first started at the nursery (he is now 2.5 years old and still loving it!). The nursery staff are fantastic and really tend to everybody's needs.
We receive daily reports on how our little ones are growing and developing. I know I'm repeating this but the staff really
are amazing. The general hygiene cannot be faulted and the children seem to enjoy the food (which are healthy and always changing). A variety of activities are arranged for the kids daily (in doors and out doors; depending on the weather).
I would without a doubt recommend Woodlands Day Nursery to friends and family.

Woodlands is a fantastic nursery that I would highly recommend - and have done on many occasions. My daughter joined the nursery five years ago when she was 8 months old on my return to working on a full time basis. Woodlands provided the love and care that I was looking for as well as all the practical
stuff you expect, and often don't get consistently, in other nurseries. When my son came along, I foolishly left it too late to get spaces for the days I needed, and had to use other nurseries for a short time, so I do have comparisons. Woodlands strive for high standards in all things; from staffing, interaction with parents, food it provides right down to the type of nappies used! The most important thing is my children have been/are so happy there and to be part of the Woodlands family.

My two children currently attend the nursery, the eldest will start school in September. My sister recommended the nursery to me and I am so pleased my children go to this nursery.
All of the staff are so friendly, it is like a second home. The staff give detailed feedback at the end of each day with
activities the children have done and how they have eaten etc. They genuinely care about the children which gives me great comfort whilst at work.

All 3 of my daughters have attended Woodlands, the first starting in 2008 and my last one is due to leave this summer. The staff have always been wonderful - a happy smile and a warm welcome has always greeted my girls on their arrival and even though there were tears on many occasions, I always left
there knowing they would have a great day. They have helped to develop and instill confidence and love of 'school' which greatly helped with their transition to big school. There are always lovely colourful displays of the children's work and they obviously get up to a lot of fun activities as is seen by the artwork that comes home and what is seen around the rooms. The staff are brilliant and helpful and know exactly what sort of day my child has had when I pick them up. I would highly recommend Woodlands as an excellent childcare provider.

Job Title: Nursery Manager Joined: 2001

Claire has been a Nursery Practitioner for 18 years and qualified with an NNEB with Distinction qualification in 1993.


She has continued to refresh and update her training over the years in order to keep up with the ever-evolving world of childcare.


Claire has always worked in the private sector and has vast experience with all age groups between 0 and 5 years, having room-managed all base rooms from babies to preschool in Senior Management positions before taking over Woodlands as Manager in 2001.


She splits her working day between dealing with the everyday running of the nursery based in the nursery office and working on the nursery floor supporting her staff and spending much valued time with the children.


Claire is proud of her strong and dedicated staff team and the excellent reputation that Woodlands Day Nursery and Preschool has built up in the local community over the years.

I have been Deputy Manager at Woodlands since 2001. I have a BTEC National Diploma in Childcare and have vast experience working with under 5's.


I had always wanted to work with children so choosing childcare as a career came naturally and I still very much enjoy spending time in our base rooms supporting our staff teams and spending time with the children.
