New Beckenham Day Nursery and Preschool is a former cricket pavilion that has been purposely renovated in order to provide a safe, cosy and fully resourced environment for children aged from three months to five years.

The stunning location means that children can have full and supervised use of the cricket pitch, together with their own large outdoor area, while the facility itself is spacious and comfortable.

Freshly prepared nutritious meals are cooked on-site by the nursery chef.

Our son has attended Bright Horizons New Beckenham since he was nine months old and we've been really happy with the care and attention that has been shown to him in the baby room. When he joined he was one of the youngest in the room and was still getting to grips with weaning/eating, and the whole
team couldn't have been more supportive. The nursery app is great for letting us know what he's getting up to during the day, and we love seeing the activities he takes part in. All of the staff have been really welcoming and helpful - we would definitely recommend it here.

Our son attended this nursery from 14 months old until leaving for school, aged four, and he has loved his time there. There was a bit of a rocky patch when he was in the toddler room as there was a period when a lot of the long-term staff left and the management changed a couple of times but overall
we have been very happy with this nursery. We love the location and the staff makes the most of the glorious setting by taking the children out a lot onto the field to explore. The preschool room, in particular, was lovely and the staff in that room was always very caring and nurturing. The current staff and management are really welcoming and always available for a chat if you need to discuss anything. Our son was well prepared for starting school and very much enjoyed his time at this nursery.

Our daughter has been attending Bright Horizons New Beckenham since January 2021, she's been very happy and transitioning from another nursery due to a house move was east thanks to the staff. She made friends quickly and was happy to go every morning. The launch of a brand new app makes understanding
progression easier. Despite the challenges from the pandemic, the staff were helpful and kept us posted on any potential issues. The facilities feel very safe with no traffic or cars posing risk and a lovely field where they go playing, reading and walking etc. Our daughter is happy so are we.

My daughter started going to the new Beckenham Nursery around 3 years. She made so much progress by the time she had to start school. Was always willing to go and was very fond of all her teachers especially. She was potty trained at the nursery as well. I am so glad my daughter had such a positive
start. And I knew she's being well looked after. Would highly recommend it!!

We moved to Beckenham last Spring and my son changed to Bright Horizons from his old nursery. While the turmoil of last March- June meant that he didn't start as planned, when he did, he could not have been happier. The nursery management and communication have been excellent. My son enjoyed every single
day there and we really appreciated the peaceful and quiet setting with access to the large green space and room to run. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery and was very sad when he left! Thanks to all the staff for making his time there so wonderful.

Our son has been going to this nursery from just after the first lockdown in 2020. He has really loved it. The staff are very caring, they have loads of great activities - going for walks, planting a garden, reading books, playing games, etc. The manager is super organised and helpful. The location
is also fantastic, as the nursery is in an old cricket pavilion located on the enormous playing grounds, with lots of trees, fields (where the kids go for walks, etc.) and no roads around at all. Five stars.

My daughter has been very happy at Bright Horizons New Beckenham Day Nursery & Preschool since starting in October. She settled in really well age at 11 months. She’s really bonded with the staff in the Baby Room who clearly care about the children they look after. She’s learning new things every day
and is clearly enjoying the variety of activities they do there. I feel very reassured that she is happy, stimulated and well cared for.

New Beckenham Day Nursery handled Covid 19 brilliantly. They put in place measures very quickly to allow children to return safely to nursery. The created and issued clear guidance (much clearer than the government) and made sure that all rules were always correctly followed. Cleanliness, food, caring
staff, a range of activities and level of education is excellent. My son is very happy there and is excited every morning as he goes in. As a parent that is exactly what I need. A happy, excited, well-fed and educated child.

The nursery is led by an experienced team. The manager is fair and always tries her utmost to improve the nursery environment, the supply of activities, toys and most importantly, quality of staff. The nursery environment and staff morale have much improved since the last management!
Safeguarding and
providing a safe environment is paramount to the manager, she persevered over six months to ensure the route towards nursery is free of parked cars (potential hazard to emergency vehicles).
My child looks forward to attending nursery, I feel she is well prepared by the pre-school carers to move onto the primary school setting. The nursery provides a nurturing and fun environment, I am so pleased my daughter is thriving and happy.

So impressed with the friendliness of staff, the welcoming atmosphere and efficiency of management. My daughter has settled so quickly and happily and I know from experience that is down to the team at Bright Horizons as we’ve struggled previously with other nurseries. Every small detail is appreciated,
even the fact that in the manager's office there are books and activities that children can take home. Everything in the nursery is in good condition and organised well. I am a very happy parent!

My child has attended New Beckenham Day Nursery since he was 6 months old and is now in the preschool room. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and always there to help. The chef is incredible cooking fresh food on site and adapts to every child's needs like my son who is a very fussy eater,
she is always asking me of different foods we could try and introduce and asking me what he eats at home.

My son has been attending this nursery for two years now and is very happy here. The facilities are excellent, both indoor and out. He enjoys a lot of different activities, including sports, arts and crafts, singing and dancing and themed play. My son has additional health needs which are well catered
for by the management team and the chef. I have never had any concerns about his care and would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

My son has attended nursery for 18 months and really has thrived. He has some hearing and speech issues and the nursery have gone above and beyond to support him. Guided by SEN support externally and their own SENCO. Caring and nurturing staff, great location and are very open and communicate with parents.

A welcoming environment where the staff truly care for the children under their watch and obviously enjoy being part of their growth and development journey. All of the staff take time to know the children, even if they are not in their room, which is lovely. The children seem like they are always having
fun and are happy to be there - it takes ages to get my child out of the door at night as she does not want to leave her friends and insists on saying bye to every member of staff. She loves it!


Management are very approachable and keen to receive feedback and comments from parents to ensure the nursery is the best it can be. Would definitely recommend to friends and colleagues.

Amie is the nursery manager at New Beckenham, having joined Bright Horizons in November 2019. With a career in nurseries dating back to 2007, she began as an unqualified nursery assistant and has since advanced to her current role. Along the way, Amie earned a degree in Early Years Education.


Passionate about working with children, she finds great fulfilment in supporting both children and their families.
