Children's Corner Day Nursery

Our son has been attending Children’s Corner for almost a year now. His confidence has grown in leaps and bounds, and I have the team at the nursery to thank for this. We love the fact that the nursery is a family-run nursery. The manager is passionate and hands-on and has great knowledge of child development. The staff are carefully selected, they are amazing and have shown great care and dedication to our son throughout the past year. We will miss all of the staff, his friends, and the Chefs cooking (he has introduced our son to such amazing types of food, all of which are healthy and nutritious). We would highly recommend it to all of our family and friends!

My daughter has grown into a confident 4-year-old who can't wait to start school but I'll miss the nursery and am so grateful for all their care, creativity and passion.

My son joined Children's Corner Day Nursery when he was 13 months old. I was a nervous first-time mum and leaving him at a young age but I was reassured right away. My son settled in easily with the manager and the baby room staff. The settling in period was pre-Covid so I was able to spend time in the nursery and observe the staff and the other children and I was very confident from day one that my son would be well looked after. Covid hit only a few weeks after settling him in and over the last eighteen months it has been really, really challenging for the nursery, the parents and the children but the manager and her team did a wonderful job navigating the Covid nightmare with professionalism and optimism despite having to close and re-open several times. The only reason we are leaving is that I'm now working from home. My son loved attending every day and will miss everyone very much!

Our son has just left Children’s Corner Day Nursery and we’ve relocated to Scotland after three fantastic years at the setting. As parents, we can’t speak highly enough of the manager, her team and the environment they have created. We felt it was special when we visited and we weren’t wrong. Settling in was tough but it was obvious from day one that we were in good hands. The nursery is small but the space is great and it has a real family feel to it. Our son really bonded with his teachers, made many friends and learnt so much. He has grown into a confident and happy little boy during his time at Children’s Corner Day Nursery and we will be forever grateful. The last year has been tough for everyone but the team have handled it brilliantly. We would recommend the nursery in a heartbeat.

We have been so happy with Children's Corner Day Nursery and are very sorry to be leaving the area. Our daughter attended from 20 to 27 months, so was both in the baby room and the rising tots room. It's an incredibly warm, kind, but also professional environment. Our daughter has really enjoyed going. The owner and all her team are hugely attentive to every detail. You really notice that it's a family-run business, and there are many long-standing members of staff so it really feels like a community. Our daughter built great relationships with the staff she worked with, and we were always really impressed with the range of activities. The spaces are really thoughtful, and we loved that there was a nice outdoor space. There's a big focus on outdoor play which was great. The menu always sounded delicious and healthy, and it was great that it was all being prepared freshly. During Covid the staff worked so hard to keep things open and safe, we felt very lucky. Highly recommended!

We saw our son growing from a little baby to a young, confident, kind preschooler which is what I saw when I first visited the nursery, curious, kind and confident toddlers. The first year is a bit hard as a parent, you always think no one will love and nurture your baby as you do. You worry, you feel guilty, every nursery seems unable to keep up. Well, let me tell you, we saw our sons learning curve skyrocket at an amazing rate. Children's Corner Day Nursery is not like other places, it's a lovely, homely environment, small but they are not cutting corners because of that. They have a superb lead and she is not just the proprietor, she's present and kids love her, as we parents do! She is always there for you, to hear any doubt or fears as a parent. The chef's cooking skills are clearly witchery, my kiddo seems to eat all the good veg there and I have pictures to prove it! Three lovely years with you guys, it went too fast but it has been amazing, despite a pandemic, which you handled superbly, we will never forget you.

From the very first moment, Children's Corner Day Nursery has been a home away from home. The support, care and nurturing we received has been amazing and I couldn't have picked a more perfect nursery for my son. He has loved every second and has come home learning something new every day. I couldn't be more grateful for the love we all have received from everyone at Children's Corner Day Nursery over the past few years. I have no doubt that this nursery will continue to grow and develop as the dedication and commitment from the owners is truly admirable. A big, big thank you for everything.

I couldn’t be happier with Children’s Corner. The staff are so kind and caring, they all know my daughter even those in different rooms. She found so many friends there. She has been upset mainly during the weekends when the nursery has been closed. She couldn’t wait for Monday to go again. The staff is great and the management level is really good. They do everything to give support if you need it. Highly recommend this place. P.S. She will miss you guys. Thank you for everything. You are amazing.

The nursery has gone above and beyond, my daughter enjoyed every moment. The staff are very approachable and always willing to listen and take what you say on board, I also received regular reports on her progress.

I feel they were very well looked after. My kids loved going. Lots for them to do both indoors and out. Their favourite activity was building dens in the garden.

I couldn't be happier with the nursery and the team. My daughter's development was definitely enhanced by attending, especially her confidence and social skills. It was very reassuring seeing how happy she used to be to go in each day, as I knew how much she enjoys her time there and the bond she had with the staff.

A lovely home away from home nursery setting for children. My daughter thrived during the time she spent here. The staff are all extremely caring and cheerful and always ready to support every child with individual approaches. The space is used so well, and the nursery has a wonderful large outdoor play area with lots of various stations for kids of all ages to explore. My daughter speaks so fondly of everyone and has made some great friendships. I would fully recommend this nursery!

Children's Corner is a lovely nursery where the staff is very attentive and caring. There are lots of imaginative activities for the children and frequent updates on the e-learning log. The outdoor space lets the children explore and develop confidence in different areas of play such as soft play, water, and sand.

Our son just finished the complete nursery cycle at Children’s Corner. It has been a wonderful three years together: the staff and activities were amazing and our son loved it every single day, learning so much. We are extremely grateful to the staff and would recommend warmly.

We've had two of our children at Children's Corner Day Nursery and both children have loved it there. The owners are great as are the staff and we would recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing nursery that is focused, nurturing, educational, fun and most importantly makes your child feel like they are at home.

We cannot praise Children’s Corner nursery enough. The staff treated our daughter as if she were one of their own and formed a great relationship with us as parents. All provision from education, activities, facilities and food are exceptional. The creation of the outdoor summer house has been a wonderful addition to the garden. Food provision is varied, wholesome and nutritious, made lovingly by the chef. We particularly valued the variety of trips and experiences offered such as visits to the Mosque, library, shops, farm, and Discover Children’s Story Centre. Our daughter will miss her Children’s Corner family very much and we’ll always be grateful for the pre-school care and support she had there.

It's not easy to choose a nursery for your little one but I'm so glad I found Children's Corner. My daughter spent 2 amazing years in this nursery, growing, learning, developing new skills and all this thanks to the qualified staff. The nursery is not so big but it provides a cosy environment and for my daughter, it felt a second home, a second family. As a working mum, I didn't worry during the days because I know she was in good hands. I also appreciated the flexibility they provide and their efforts to accommodate your requests. I would recommend this nursery with no doubts!

The Children’s Corner is a great nursery for little ones - my daughter enjoyed attending full-time nursery as she felt secure and loved there. The staff are friendly and management take constructive feedback on-board.

The chef, provided nutritious meals so I didn’t have to worry about it during the week when rushing home from work.
