Brinds Well Day Nursery (Orpington)

We are sending both our children to Brinds Well and could not have found a better nursery for them. They both learn so much and are really happy there. It's a safe and well-run place for our little ones.

The staff have gone above and beyond to help settle my son into nursery (this was especially hard after being in lockdown). I receive lovely photos of him taking part in activities and the regular assessments show how my son is progressing. The staff's knowledge always amazes me and I am always grateful for their advise. On top of all that, we are always greeted with a smile and a friendly face.

The care and attention that goes into the children is a huge relief and peace of mind for me.

My daughter has been at Brindswell for just over four months and I have been so impressed with their service from the beginning. She had plenty of settling in sessions over two months prior to her joining which made the transition really smooth. The relationships the staff have built with my daughter over the last few months have been wonderful, she is genuinely excited to see them in the morning and they have clearly invested time in understanding her interests and then regularly tailor activities to these to engage her. I have been so impressed with the staff's use of sign language to communicate with my daughter and I can see the confidence this has built in her. The team have also been brilliant at managing her milk allergy and the food menu is always varied. The room is always well presented and inviting. Communication around and management of coronavirus updates have always been timely and informative. Thank you to all staff, it’s wonderful to know my daughter is in such good hands.

My son started at Brinds Well in Nov 2020 at the age of 2 after we decided to change him from another nursery. The staff have been fantastic throughout the whole process. He has had no trouble settling in, even though he is not the most confident child, which we put down to how attentive the staff are to his needs. He used to cry and cling to me and drop-offs at his old setting but we have had no trouble with this at Brinds Well and he looks forward to his nursery days, which is such a relief that I don’t have to worry about him whilst at work. The food menu is fantastic- lots of healthy food. The activities they do at the nursery are very varied (lots of sensory, Montessori) and we are kept up to date through the parent zone app. You get a weekly newsletter to keep you updated with what your child’s group has been learning that week. The outside space was important to us and Brinds Well does not disappoint- children can explore as they wish and includes lots of natural resources.

The staff are very accommodating and I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone.

As parents having to go back to work full time it was a weight lifted off us that our son was going to a good nursery with kind and supportive staff. From the settling in days to the official start date we have felt confident knowing our son is ok and being well looked after. Thank you very much.

A brilliant Pre-School!

I have two children at the nursery and couldn't be happier with it. My youngest has just moved up to Bumblebees. Despite this happening during the pandemic (meaning it was not possible for him to have settling sessions or transition gradually), it has been handled brilliantly and within a week he seemed very settled and happy. The staff are always approachable and have the time to answer any questions or concerns. I have been using this nursery for 3 years now and would highly recommend it.

Brinds Well is a fantastic nursery and preschool. Communication is great and I have such trust in all the wonderful people that work there. My daughter loved the nursery right through to pre-school and Brinds Well did such a good job of getting her ready for school. My son is now there and they're such a caring group of people so it's good to know he's being looked after. The spaces are amazing too and they're always running fun activities for the children - my son loves it. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

We couldn't have been more pleased with the care and time that was spent educating, caring and preparing our daughter for school. The staff in all rooms are of the highest standard! Our daughter loved attending each and every day! I couldn't recommend them enough!

The nursery has been a critical part of our family life for the last 6-years - both our sons happily attended the nursery from very young ages going through caterpillar, ladybird, bumblebee to preschool rooms. We have been impressed with how the nursery has grown in strength over the years - it sets a high bar for friendly staff, personal attention, good communication, consistent quality care and a great management team. At one point, we briefly tried another smaller setting near the station for one day of the week and realized how spoilt we had been with the professionalism at Brinds Well. During the lockdown, the staff worked hard to use their tech platform and send frequent videos to children. For us, working parents, this became a useful resource to home school our little ones. There really isn't another nursery in the area which can match the standard and extended hours of care. Highly recommend it - worth the money and the daily drive into the village (crossing a busy road)!

Excellent nursery in all aspects. Teachers are very friendly and caring. Management very accommodating with parent requests, and all staff are polite and approachable. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I can only praise the nursery for the wonderful way they looked after my son. My son developed and grew with confidence while he was there. The staff were great and brilliant during the Covid19 lockdown. Great nursery, great staff, highly recommended.

Brindswell is an amazing nursery! All the staff are very caring and supportive. With easy access from room to the outside play area, this really brings the best of both worlds. I would highly recommend the nursery to anyone.

My daughter (two and a half years old) is completing her first month at Brinds Well Day Nursery. The staff had a very well thought out and very effective settling in process that took into consideration both the impact on my daughter and the impact on me. We started settling in two months before her start in September and already my daughter has a big smile for the staff at drop-off and has developed a great bond with her key person and the other staff in the room. I'm impressed with the variety of fun and educational activities that they arrange for the children. The staff regularly share photos and observations so I can see her participating and enjoying herself. When I pick my daughter up in the afternoon she is energised and happy and very excited to tell me about everything she has done that day. It is clear that the staff are kind and patient with her and that they care about her well-being and her development. Brinds Well was definitely the right choice for us.

We have no hesitation in giving Brindswell our wholehearted recommendation!

The nursery continued to excel during lockdown - multiple activities and video clips sent each day via the app and regular email updates to parents, as well as taking the time over the phone to explain the measures they were taking for re-opening. Since re-opening, they have gone above and beyond to ensure safety of the children is paramount, in addition to keeping up their fantastic, caring approach.
