We moved to the area newly and struggled to find a nursery we felt satisfied with. But after meeting the team at Buttercups nursery and seeing how comfortable our son was with them. We must say this is the best nursery my son has attended. He’s always so happy and cheerful attending and leaving his
session. You can tell it’s more than a job for his nursery teachers. They are attentive, patient to and have great communication skills. The food served is freshly cooked! My son is always well fed and loves the food so much that he has two rounds each and every time. I’m so glad I choose Buttercups for my son and look forward to all future children attending this nursery.

I'm extremely happy that I chose this nursery for my daughter. After a lot of research, this was the one I was mostly impressed with. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. They always inform you what your child has been up to, what they had to eat and how much, and are happy to answer any questions.
My daughter has finally settled and now gets excited when the day comes to go and she always seems happy when I go and collect her, so this has made me relax a lot and concentrate on my job properly. As for food, they seem to cook a variety of foods from scratch, from a happy chef and food hygiene is 5.

Buttercups is a great nursery.
There is a very low turnover, so after a few years, everybody from the staff knows our children very well.
My daughter loves going to the nursery for spending some time with her friends and key workers.
Her learning curve is very good.

My 2 daughters have been at this nursery since they were 6 months old. They have been like a second family for our girls. My eldest is at school now but my youngest is still there. They both have a smile on their face when they go there. We know that they will have fun, they will learn and her skill
will be developed every single day. They have nutritious and healthy meals every day. And we have the chance to see them interact with other children and within the nursery during Stay and Play and other events that are organised. I am sad that soon my youngest will leave the nursery as well, as we have had so many incredible memories there. I could not recommend this nursery more highly and I just want to thank the manager and every staff member to make the first years of our girls' life so wonderful.

My not so little princess has been with the nursery since baby class. She has loved the nursery and the staff. She can now do a lot independently through the help of the lovely ladies at the nursery. The way they work with you and your child in every milestone is remarkable. My daughter looks forward
to going every morning. They are always professional and friendly. Great atmosphere and environment for children. Highly recommend it.

Our daughter has settled into Buttercups so well. It's clear she has really taken to her keyworker and the staff genuinely care about the children in their care. The activities have been numerous, varied and we have noticed leaps and bounds in our daughters learning and development. We are very impressed
at the standards exacted at Buttercups and the team are so lovely and friendly.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 11 months old and she has developed amazingly. Her communication improved since she joined the nursey. She enjoys attending the nursery. The staff are amazing and I always felt she was in safe hands. My son will attend the nursery soon and I would highly
recommend it to other parents. My daughter will have a solid foundation going into reception now, thanks to the care and the teaching at the nursery.

My Son absolutely loved going to school every morning. He loved the food and to play outside. He has made really good friends. He was potty trained and was taught table manners at this school. e learnt how to hold a pen, phonics, shapes and colours. He loved his teachers and remembered what they say.
He really enjoyed his time here and all staff are very supportive and understanding to parents too. I will miss this place very much.

The team at Buttercups at Acton are an extremely caring and loving team. In 3 years we have always felt more than comfortable leaving our child there. They have a fun, educational and caring atmosphere and our child's learning growth over the years is a testament to the planning and structure they have
in place. They have excellent facilities in the garden and organise extra-curricular activities for the children. We'll miss everyone at Buttercups when the time comes for reception Year.

My son has been at Buttercups for around 9 months and during this time has absolutely thrived. The staff and children were so welcoming, he settled in very easily despite having moved from another nursery in the area at the age of 3. He loves all his "teachers" and looks forward to going to nursery
every day. The children are happy and well cared for. The staff all look happy too which makes a huge impact on the children. The meals are nutritious and my son often asks for more. I wish we had chosen Buttercups from the beginning for our son, as they are great!

Fantastic experience at Buttercups. I have had two children attend Buttercups over four years and have found it to be exceptional. The staff are brilliant - friendly, kind, understanding and great with the kids. Both my children have learnt a huge amount and developed into very nice little people. They
have been very happy here.

Our son has attended Buttercups at Acton since August 2015 when he was 7 months old. He has developed so quickly. We are especially thrilled with the kindness and empathy for others that the team has cultivated within him. I believe this is because they are all so kind as well.

The food is delicious

and nutritious. Our son often eats 100% to 120%.

We absolutely love this nursery and would recommend it to everyone.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.917) out of 10 for Buttercups at Acton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 49 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 49 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Buttercups at Acton is calculated as follows: ( (544 Excellents x 5) + (39 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 588 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Buttercups at Acton is based on 49 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 number of registered child places is 6.6, which has been reached with 49 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
