The Review Score of 9.9 (maximum of 10) for Buttercups at Acton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.
a) The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 33 Reviews over all time. This Average Rating is also the rating value for Buttercups at Acton in Google's Search Results - more info
b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5 out of 5 from 15 positive Reviews in the last 12 months.
a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating of all Reviews over all time. For each review the Day Nursery / service is rated Excellent, Good, Satisfactory, Poor or Very Poor on a number of areas eg Staff, Management etc. The Day Nursery receives points for each rating as follows: Excellent = 5. Good = 4. Satisfactory = 3. Poor = 2. Very Poor = 1. These points are added up and then divided by the total number of completed ratings to generate the average rating.
The Average Rating of 4.878 for Buttercups at Acton is calculated as follows: ( (349 Excellents x 5) + (42 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 394 Ratings = 4.878
b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 12 months. If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with 'Extremely Likely' or 'Likely' in answer to the question 'How likely are you to recommend this Day Nursery to friends and family?'
The 5 points available are broken down as follows:
4 points are available for the first 5 Positive Reviews, 3 points for the first Positive Review and then 0.25 Points for each of the next 4 Positive Reviews.
1 point is available for reaching a target number of Positive Reviews based on 20% of the number of registered maximum number of service users. If the target is partially reached then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery with 50 registered maximum number of service users has a target of 10 Positive Reviews, if it has 10 or more Positive Reviews it will receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews will receive 0.7 points.
If there are no Positive Reviews in the last 12 months, then 2.5 points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 2 years. The calculation is the same as above, except the points are divided by 2.
The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Buttercups at Acton is based on 15 positive Reviews in the last 12 months and is calculated as follows:
3 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 + 0.25 = 4
Target of 6.6 positive Reviews (33 registered maximum number of service users ÷ 5). 15 Reviews ÷ 6.6 Target Reached = 1
When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

The team at Buttercups at Acton are an extremely caring and loving team. In 3 years we have always felt more than comfortable leaving our child there. They have a fun, educational and caring atmosphere and our child's learning growth over the years is a testament to the planning and structure they have in place. They have excellent facilities in the garden and organise extra-curricular activities for the children. We'll miss everyone at Buttercups when the time comes for reception Year.

My son has been at Buttercups for around 9 months and during this time has absolutely thrived. The staff and children were so welcoming, he settled in very easily despite having moved from another nursery in the area at the age of 3. He loves all his "teachers" and looks forward to going to nursery every day. The children are happy and well cared for. The staff all look happy too which makes a huge impact on the children. The meals are nutritious and my son often asks for more. I wish we had chosen Buttercups from the beginning for our son, as they are great!

Fantastic experience at Buttercups. I have had two children attend Buttercups over four years and have found it to be exceptional. The staff are brilliant - friendly, kind, understanding and great with the kids. Both my children have learnt a huge amount and developed into very nice little people. They have been very happy here.

Our son has attended Buttercups at Acton since August 2015 when he was 7 months old. He has developed so quickly. We are especially thrilled with the kindness and empathy for others that the team has cultivated within him. I believe this is because they are all so kind as well.
The food is delicious and nutritious. Our son often eats 100% to 120%.
We absolutely love this nursery and would recommend it to everyone.

Our daughter has been with Buttercups since she was 10 months old, and she has thrived. The practitioners have all been very good, very caring about her as an individual as well as helping her grow and expand her skills and engage with people around her, and she has loved her time here and the friends she has made. (Don't be put off by their management and billing systems day-to-day they are great).

I can highly recommend Buttercups at Acton. My daughter has been there cared for there for four days a week since she was 10 months old and our experience has been nothing but positive. I originally chose the nursery because of its homely atmosphere and this has not changed in over 3 years my daughter has been there.
All the staff are extremely caring and professional and the turnover of staff has been extremely low. All the staff know my daughter and she knows them - this really makes a massive difference to her day to day happiness. The nursery offers a wide range of activity for the children, communication with parents is regular and helpful and there are a number of events throughout the year to bring parents, children and the nursery together.

The Managers are very experienced and knowledgeable. It really helps to know that my LO is in good hands when I'm at work.

Whole workers and management are helpful and doing the best they can. They are always ready to cooperate with parent and child. Teachers providing a high standard of education and activities, kids learning about good behaviour in a good sense. Also, the level of language is very good. I appreciate very much the whole attention they give to my little star. I would highly recommend Buttercups Acton.

We currently have our 2 daughters full-time at the nursery. They have been with Buttercups in Acton since they were babies. We could not recommend this nursery enough. They are caring and passionate about our children's development. We know that our daughters are in excellent hands. And most of all, we can see how happy they are every day. They can participate in a wide variety of activities and we know they eat well as the food is cooked on site and well balanced. The staff are always available and make us feel like part of a big family. One thing to mention, as it seems that it is not usual in other nurseries, is that they give parents the opportunity to share activities with the children, which is a great way to see how our children interact in the nursery environment. A big thank you for everything they do for our daughters!

Our little one has been going here since April last year and he loves it. The set up is really good, lots of little rooms so the children are separated by age group and they have a great garden at the back with separate space for the babies. The staff are really friendly and helpful, they always say hello and get to know your child even if they are not in their group which makes it easier when they move to the next level as they are already familiar with the staff. The in-house cook is great and our little one loves the food. The staff are also very good at reassuring and giving advice, being our first child it is nice to have that reassurance sometimes. They will also take into consideration and follow any particular request you may have regarding your child.

We are really happy with Buttercups at Acton. Our daughter loves it and is happy to go, there always seems to be interesting activities for her and she likes all the staff members. Everyone is very caring and seem genuinely interested in the well-being of each child. Our review appointments have always been insightful with the key worker giving lots of info and anecdotes about her progress. The only factors we have ranked as 'good' rather than excellent' are resources, food, drink (as there could be a little more variety) and cleanliness but these are not concerns for us and wouldn't affect us recommending this nursery.

My daughter has been with Buttercups at Acton since she was 8 months old. From the very first day to the last, she has been happy and content with all her carers and her environment. I left Buttercups at Acton due to a house move and it felt more like I'd left behind a small family. Not only did all the girls welcome my child with open arms but they got to know me, my husband and my son as well. I'll never forget the Buttercups team and can't begin to express my gratitude in their part in making my little girl as wonderful as she is today. Thank you.

We have been using this nursery since my son was 8 months old. He is now 4 and will start school in September, sadly we had to say goodbye to this little slice of heaven! I can't find words to praise the managers, the staff and the supporting staff who, all together, made my son safe and cared for, stimulated and valued throughout his first years of life. He has thrived here and has learnt to be a caring, curious and inquisitive little boy - his every need has been met and his self-esteem has been fostered. Everybody at the nursery is extremely professional and reading the journal I was given when we left, has made me realise how closely my son was observed and how much effort everybody has put into his early education. A better place for little ones does not exist!

We have had two children at Buttercups over the last six years. They both thrived there, making really great friends, having lots of new experiences and feeling safe and happy throughout. They learnt the fundamentals of writing, got a good grounding in phonics and numbers and most importantly loved their teachers and will miss them very much.

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better nursery for our son. He started with Buttercups when he was 10 months old, and since then has gone from strength to strength; he loves going to nursery and seeing his friends and carers.
The team at buttercups are very welcoming and professional and make you feel like part of the family. On top of this they take first class care of their children, from freshly cooked food served to environment, learning and games and events.
We are relocating in a few weeks, and I wish I could pick them up and take Buttercups with us.
Thank you.
