We've been trusting Buttercups at Acton nursery for several years now and we love the atmosphere of being part of a large family. I know I can rely on the excellent staff for help and advice about my child's development.

The staff is professional and very friendly. My eldest child went to the nursery a couple of years ago and my second child is attending now. My child is always happy to go there and has developed really nicely. Thank you Buttercups!

Fantastic nursery. I have two children there (3 and 18 months) who both adore it. Always noticing improvement in their speech and development. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and my two run through the door at the start of the day. Great communication from the staff with photos, what they've
done each day and what they've eaten. Home cooked food and a safe, caring, nurturing environment. Couldn't recommend it more highly.

My four-year-old has attended Buttercups at Acton since she was two and my two-year-old since she was a year old. We actually moved our now four-year-old from a different nursery at the time, so we were apprehensive about the transition. I can honestly say it was the best decision. The care all members
of staff have shown our daughters feels more like an extended family than a nursery. I'm always so impressed not just by how much fun they have at nursery, but how much they learn. It's a great community and I would recommend it to anyone thinking of putting their little one in nursery.

I enrolled my daughter 6 years ago and when I had my son and it was time for him to go to nursery I didn’t think twice. It’s my son’s second home. Teachers and staff are amazing and super friendly! He loves it and has learnt so much. I highly recommend Buttercups at Acton nursery.

This is a great nursery with caring staff. The children learn and are supported to achieve their developmental milestones. It is a safe environment and therefore I do not worry when my child is there. My son loves it there. I would recommend this nursery to all parents.

This is a wonderful place where each child is treated with love and respect and is helped to thrive in every possible way. I used it for my first child years ago and I am happy to say nothing has changed, not even the staff (a very good sign!). My second child is thrilled to go to nursery every morning
and when I go to pick him up, every child leaves the place with a big grin on their faces. The staff are loving and professional and provide a wide range of activities to suit every child! The food is excellent, varied, fresh and cooked on-site by the most lovely chef. The rooms and the lovely garden are warm and happy and there is always the sound of someone singing when going around. I am so confident in this place that I have suggested it to many friends for their children and I have been thanked many times!

We have been with the nursery for almost 8 years and have been continually impressed with the care given to the kids. The staff are lovely and the nursery is well managed. Our kids have loved the food at the nursery and were well prepared by the preschool for starting primary school.

The team at Buttercups is very nice and caring. My child was right away welcome and at ease. He comes home singing and talking more and more about what he is doing during his day. They adapted well to the new regulations due to covid and are keeping a very safe environment for the little ones. I could
not be happier to have my son taken care of like that.

Buttercups at Acton is such a lovely nursery. The staff have been friendly and welcoming since the moment we had our first zoom call to visit the nursery virtually. My son has settled in so well and truly seems happy to go to nursery. He reaches out for the staff when we are at the door!
We get daily
updates on how our child is doing, and the manager sends updates on what the children ate and the activities they did.
I would highly recommend this nursery as they truly care about our little ones!

My son truly enjoys attending Buttercups nursery. He has developed very quickly and very well at nursery. The staff are always nice and knowledgeable as well as accommodating. It's great that they like to use varied activities to increase development and no two days ever seem the same.

Both my children attend Buttercups Acton and they have really thrived in this atmosphere. They have a true partnership with the parents, giving us detailed feedback as well as daily observations. When our other childcare provider fell through Buttercups has gone above and beyond to support us. Great
place for the kids but also the parents.

The nursery is up to my expectations and I still believe it is the best place for my son. Only recently I have felt the price is quite high compared to other day nurseries so I would tell any recommendations to bare it in mind but the pros gained, far exceed the cons in my opinion.

Doesn’t have a wider variety of foods - quite boring.
I think it’s overpriced and unjustifiable.
Activities are usually repetitive and nothing outside the box is introduced.

Staff are kind. Food is delicious. The environment is good.
My son entered the nursery in March. The teacher went through the guidelines in details and showed us the nursery.

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.9 (9.917) out of 10 for Buttercups at Acton is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.9 out of 5 from 49 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 5.0 out of 5 from 49 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.917 for Buttercups at Acton is calculated as follows: ( (544 Excellents x 5) + (39 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 588 Ratings = 4.917
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 5 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Buttercups at Acton is based on 49 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 20 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews, 0.05 Points for the next five Positive Reviews, and finally 0.025 Points for the next ten Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.050, 7th = 0.050, 8th = 0.050, 9th = 0.050, 10th = 0.050, 11th = 0.025, 12th = 0.025, 13th = 0.025, 14th = 0.025, 15th = 0.025, 16th = 0.025, 17th = 0.025, 18th = 0.025, 19th = 0.025, 20th = 0.025) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.05 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 + 0.025 = 4
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 33 number of registered child places is 6.6, which has been reached with 49 Positive reviews. Points = 1
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
