Bright Horizons Twickenham Meadway Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly Asquith) is found in the grounds of Trafalgar Infant School and each room has the latest educational age appropriate activities with expertly crafted furniture and wooden toys made by Community Playthings.

The Nursery has a great garden which includes a role play, cycle track, sand pit, shade sail, outdoor classroom, nature exploration garden and much more.

The nursery is attached to the reception part of the school, which really helps with the transition to ‘big school’ for the preschoolers. The nursery children also have use of the school field, which makes going outdoors more exciting.

Rooms are filled with learning activities and the latest ICT resources are used to develop learning. Lunch/tea is usually a fun part of the day for the children. Food is delivered daily and children are encouraged to independently place meals on plates and eat in groups.

A truly wonderful experience.
My son joined Trafalgar at 10 months (for settling sessions). He went full time at 1 year. After a number of transitions and tears to begin with, he now absolutely adores nursery. He eats and sleeps like an angel. The staff are just wonderful and his key-worker was the
first name he said.
I can't speak highly enough of this nursery, how much my son loves it and therefore how much I love it!

I love this nursery and I love the staff even more. My daughter joined the baby room in Spring 2012 at just 3 or 4 months old and my son joined in October 2014 at a similar age. They are both full time and, as such, it is so important to me that they feel at home there. The nursery provides everything
you could ask for and the staff have so much love for each individual child in their care that they've become our friends and are like honorary aunts to our children.


The facilities are brilliant - clean and bright with wonderful enclosed gardens and a field that are both safe and fun for the kids to play in away from public view. There is plenty of structured play and learning too. My four year old has been able to sing the alphabet for well over a year and can write and recognise an ever increasing list of words. She loves learning and the nursery finds inventive and fun ways to bring this into her day. My son, on the other hand, just likes to eat. The food is of an excellent standard and the menus are really varied giving my children a much broader exposure to different food types than they might get at home. My son's food allergies have been well catered for from the start.


Beyond the level of service itself and from a selfish adult point of view, two things really make this nursery stand out - particularly if you are a commuter.
1. the nursery opens at 7:30 -18:30. Most nurseries in the area are 8-18. The extra 30min on each side of the day means that I can still commute to town for work full time and not panic about being late.
2. the nursery runs the after school club for Trafalgar School and shares the building with the reception class. This makes the transition from nursery to school that much easier as the child can continue to be dropped off at the same time and place as they always have been. Also, if you still have a child at the nursery then you don't have to factor in two drop of points.


I can't thank the staff at this nursery enough for the start they've given to my children. I've no doubt they've made a huge contribution to making them the well balanced and confident little monkeys that they are. I recommend this nursery whole-heartedly.
