Bright Horizons Twickenham Meadway Day Nursery and Preschool (formerly Asquith) is found in the grounds of Trafalgar Infant School and each room has the latest educational age appropriate activities with expertly crafted furniture and wooden toys made by Community Playthings.

The Nursery has a great garden which includes a role play, cycle track, sand pit, shade sail, outdoor classroom, nature exploration garden and much more.

The nursery is attached to the reception part of the school, which really helps with the transition to ‘big school’ for the preschoolers. The nursery children also have use of the school field, which makes going outdoors more exciting.

Rooms are filled with learning activities and the latest ICT resources are used to develop learning. Lunch/tea is usually a fun part of the day for the children. Food is delivered daily and children are encouraged to independently place meals on plates and eat in groups.

The staff are always so friendly and welcoming to me (a parent).
They always make sure I know what is going on with my son and updates within the nursery itself.
I have had 2 children at Asquith Trafalgar Day Nursery and my children have always loved coming here. I would recommend to anyone!

My children have thrived at the preschool. They've made very good bonds with their carers and have made some really good friends that will hopefully keep for some time. The preschool staff have always listened carefully to my concerns and have worked very closely with us to ensure that the children
feel safe and happy every morning. Now that my children are moving onto school I can honestly say that we have all benefitted from the preschool experience. The children will really miss everyone.

Overall our child has had a good experience at Trafalgar Day Nursery and he has made good progress in many areas. Staff has been good and we have particularly valued those who have been there on a more permanent basis although many others were lovely too. We just felt that they didn't know our child
that well at times. Sometimes I think the class/bathroom should be cleaner.

We have been delighted with our daughter's care during her time at Trafalgar Day Nursery. Any nerves or worry about switching preschools quickly disappeared as she settled quickly and made many friends. The love and care the teachers show the children is second to none and our daughter has developed
a close bond with her practitioners. We are very thankful for all you've taught her and for helping her grow into the wonderful human she is.

My child has joined reception year at his primary school. He is a well balanced, cheerful, friendly, polite and well behaved little boy. Asquith has cared full-time for him whilst his parents are in full-time employment since he was nine months old. We are convinced that the excellent care, guidance
and stimulation provided in a safe and rewarding environment by an attentive and diligent team has played a great role in his early and successful development.

A lovely nursery with warm, caring, loving and bright staff. Both of my children have been through Trafalgar Day Nursery over the last 8 years and I know the place and the staff will form very special memories for them. It is a safe nursery with excellent outside space, which includes the nature garden.
I have been sad to wave the staff goodbye now that my youngest heads to reception.

The nursery staff have been great and really helped mu son settle in over the past 5 months. They do a range of activities throughout the day, and often give me photo's of what my son has been up to. They've really helped him build confidence, especially since starting to walk. The staff have always
been quick to tell me when my son hasn't been well and have really looked after him whilst I've travelled from work to pick him up. At the end of each day they give me a great run down of what my son has done and eaten during the day. I always feel well informed.

This Nursery has been great for our little boy. He's been going since he was just over one and has been looked after so well by all of the staff. It has some great out door areas and facilities. But the most important thing is that all of the teachers know and look after all of the children so well
that sometimes he doesn't want to come home. It's given him a great start to learning.

This nursery is excellent, standout reasons being the quality of staff and the outdoor space. My son attends full time and started in the baby room when he was 12 months old, then transitioned to the toddler room and now is in the nursery class. He has been very happy in each room and has adored his
key workers and other staff members, and frequently mentions their names all weekend! We are very happy with his learning and development and feel he is getting a great preparation for school while still being in a caring environment.


I can honestly say I have never worried about him being in nursery, even when he was very little, which is invaluable when you are working full time. The 7.30-18.30 opening hours make drop off and pick up far more manageable.

There is a friendly and happy environment in the nursery. My daughter always comes home with various bits of glitter or otherwise, proving what a lovely day she has had. I feel very comfortable leaving her in the capable hands of the great team at Trafalgar and genuinely feel they care for her and
enjoy looking after her, which is all any parent could ask.
There are great facilities and a fantastic outside area. They seem to make a point of playing outside every day.

A truly wonderful experience.
My son joined Trafalgar at 10 months (for settling sessions). He went full time at 1 year. After a number of transitions and tears to begin with, he now absolutely adores nursery. He eats and sleeps like an angel. The staff are just wonderful and his key-worker was the
first name he said.
I can't speak highly enough of this nursery, how much my son loves it and therefore how much I love it!

I love this nursery and I love the staff even more. My daughter joined the baby room in Spring 2012 at just 3 or 4 months old and my son joined in October 2014 at a similar age. They are both full time and, as such, it is so important to me that they feel at home there. The nursery provides everything
you could ask for and the staff have so much love for each individual child in their care that they've become our friends and are like honorary aunts to our children.


The facilities are brilliant - clean and bright with wonderful enclosed gardens and a field that are both safe and fun for the kids to play in away from public view. There is plenty of structured play and learning too. My four year old has been able to sing the alphabet for well over a year and can write and recognise an ever increasing list of words. She loves learning and the nursery finds inventive and fun ways to bring this into her day. My son, on the other hand, just likes to eat. The food is of an excellent standard and the menus are really varied giving my children a much broader exposure to different food types than they might get at home. My son's food allergies have been well catered for from the start.


Beyond the level of service itself and from a selfish adult point of view, two things really make this nursery stand out - particularly if you are a commuter.
1. the nursery opens at 7:30 -18:30. Most nurseries in the area are 8-18. The extra 30min on each side of the day means that I can still commute to town for work full time and not panic about being late.
2. the nursery runs the after school club for Trafalgar School and shares the building with the reception class. This makes the transition from nursery to school that much easier as the child can continue to be dropped off at the same time and place as they always have been. Also, if you still have a child at the nursery then you don't have to factor in two drop of points.


I can't thank the staff at this nursery enough for the start they've given to my children. I've no doubt they've made a huge contribution to making them the well balanced and confident little monkeys that they are. I recommend this nursery whole-heartedly.
