Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool is located in Surbiton, Surrey, in the UK. The nursery provides care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old, and is open from 7:00am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. Located just a 10-minute walk from Surbiton rail station and with ample parking, the nursery is ideal for parents who commute each day.

The nursery offers a range of programs, including baby and toddler care, preschool education, and after-school care. The facility has a dedicated baby room, toddler room, and preschool room, as well as a large outdoor play area for children to explore.

The nursery is set in a spacious, converted Victorian detached house in the residential area of Surbiton, within the catchment of schools in Surbiton and Tolworth areas. The stunning rooms are full of age-specific, specialist wooden furniture and resources. The staff are friendly, experienced and highly qualified and are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Bright Horizons uses a EYFS framework to promote and support education, care and development. The nursery is well equipped with a touch screen computer in their pre-school room, which helps children to prepare for school using their chosen literacy and numeracy programs. They run growing enhancement programs as part of their nursery day which includes growing readers, writers and mathematicians.

The nursery's adventure garden has its own Hobbit House, stage area, nature garden and wobbly road track all set within separate age-appropriate areas, with a separate garden for babies and toddlers.

I would absolutely recommend this nursery. Both my children have been going there since being a year old and they have both thrived there so much. My eldest is now in reception and I am immensely grateful and impressed at how well the pre-school team have prepared her for school. Despite being the youngest
in her class, she has learned so much, building on what she learned at pre-school. Despite the lockdown, the children learnt a lot, all while having fun around specific themes each week. The staff overall is so caring and have a really close bond with the children. They cater to every request and always provide great feedback about the children's days and progress. They have adapted so well after the lockdown as well. It's so nice to know my children are/were in good hands and to see how happy they are/were going to nursery each day. They do a lot of lovely activities and spend a lot of time outdoors in the huge garden, something very few nurseries can offer.

The team are all just wonderful. The love, learning and energy they pour into the children is second to none. I can not thank them enough for how well they prepared my daughter for ‘big school.’ She’s got off to a flying start both socially and academically because of the structure and learning that
was in place. She’s super confident and happy and the team in the pre-school room should be very proud of the positive impact they have had for these little people.
My son is in the toddler room and he is coming on in leaps and bounds. His key worker is just great fun and he lights up when I tell him in the morning he’s spending the day with her. Every day is his dream, playing with bikes, toy trains and cars and I get lovely pictures of him enjoying himself and my kitchen is covered in his crazy artwork! I feel that this nursery has played a really important role in the life of my family and I will always be very grateful to the staff there.

After a break during the lockdown, our 2 and a half-year-old is delighted to be back at nursery 2 days a week. On nursery days she really looks forward to going and comes home so happy. A testament to the quality of the nursery.

Lovely nursery especially the staff who make it special. Plus a great outdoor area and car park for practical reasons make it easy.
They really listen to the parents if you have any focus areas for your child and give great updates. So important especially during COVID since we can’t see how the kids
are inside the nursery in pick up etc.

Our son has been at the nursery for over three years and is now in preschool. He is extremely happy here. Staff and management are extremely friendly, kind and approachable yet very professional with great concern for the children's wellbeing. The level of preschool teaching and engagement is excellent,
reading, writing, phonics, special topics (e.g. space, dinosaurs, nutrition recently) all are great in preparing for reception class. The garden space is wonderful and the recent internal refurbishment is lovely a really bright airy space. The food is great, a wide variety, healthy and tasty. Overall a great pre-school and nursery, our son has really thrived here!

Since our daughter has been attending the nursery we have been really impressed with the care of the staff and in her development. We really like the fact that there is lots of variety in the activities that she has got to do so far and she really enjoys herself. The nursery has a really nice outside
area for the children to play in and she has got to try of lots of different foods. You can tell how good the nursery is by the fact that she is happy to be dropped off and we get pictures of her looking very excited with all the things she has been doing while she is there.

Our youngest daughter has just started in baby room. She has found it very difficult to settle and I have been so impressed at the lengths that the staff have gone to to try and help, from the nursery manager, assistant manager, baby room lead, chef and staff across the nursery rooms, everyone is trying

We have recently enrolled our 2nd child after seeing the amazing job they've done with our eldest child- now 4yr and in the preschool. Our eldest has just thrived at Asquith, her confidence, happiness and reluctance to come home at the end of the day just shows how much she loves it there. The staff
are incredible- her room leader and room staff have such a good relationship with the children and always give a positive detailed handover which is very appreciated.


Both the manager, deputy manager and the baby room staff have been absolutely amazing in settling our 11-month-old. She had extended settle sessions and they have all gone above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and happy as well as keeping me updated throughout the day with phone calls. We're extremely happy with the service they provide and the level of care they offer.

My child hasn't been attending long. We find the key worker to be fab and the others to be good too. I find that the staff could sometimes be a bit more vigilant when the children are outside but other than that the care is great.

Asquith Surbiton Day Nursery & Preschool provides excellent care for our daughter. The preschool staff team, along with the management team, have created a friendly, fun environment in which our daughter is flourishing. The activities provided, from science, numeracy, and literacy to cooking, singing
and art is well thought out and inspiring. Over the last 6 months, we have been very impressed by the newly established preschool staff team, who each bring unique skills to the classroom, and the overall management of the nursery.

What a transformation Carlie has made! We’ve gone from planning to take our eldest daughter out to feeling really happy with how things are going and ready to start settling our youngest daughter in. The preschool children are learning a lot and seem to really enjoy it. My daughter astounded us by reciting
the Greek numbers up to 10. Something we cannot even get close to doing ourselves. Added extras like this have really renewed our confidence. The new team in place of temps are also really good and the consistency has really benefited Arabella. We don’t have anymore tears at drop off. Thank you!

My son settled into the nursery very easily 3 and a half years ago and has been happy and had lovely carers throughout his stay. His allergies were catered to and now he has outgrown them. The communal meals with his peers have helped him incorporate the previously forbidden foods into his diet really
well - much better than at home! He has been well prepared for starting school, we're really surprised and impressed by his ability to read easy words and do basic sums.

Our daughter attends pre-school full time. She is often one of the last to be picked up and I still have trouble getting her out of the building; she enjoys it so much she's not ready to go home. To me, this is a testament to the fantastic care that she receives. I've seen Asquith Surbiton Day Nursery
& Pre-school go from strength to strength, especially in the past year. The management team has taken advantage of local amenities, introducing new activities such as Forest School (which she loved) and trips to the Rose Theatre. The back garden is amazing; there's much emphasis on outdoor play and connecting with nature (such as growing their own vegetables). She's always well fed and the food is delicious (I've tried it). Finally, the quality of the care and teaching that our daughter receives by all staff is excellent. My daughter has formed great relationships with many members of staff, and it's obvious they genuinely care about her. I would recommend without hesitation.

My son has been attending Surbiton Day Nursery in the toddler room since January this year and we have been very impressed with the care he has received and with the nursery in general. The management team are great - they are very efficient, helpful, friendly, and welcoming and have always taken an
active interest in my son's wellbeing. The nursery staff directly looking after my son on a daily basis are fantastic and have gone out of their way to help my son settle in and enjoy his days at the nursery. They provide thorough feedback at the end of each day and are genuinely interested in my son's development. Most telling is that my son himself loves the nursery and the staff and thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to going to nursery. The garden is fantastic and I love that they spend a lot of time outside.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Krissa has worked in childcare for the past 14 years with 7 of them working for Bright Horizons Surbiton. She started off working as a qualified member of the Toddler room and worked her way up to the Management Team.


Krissa is a very passionate worker who enjoys seeing the children's development progress over time. She thrives for outstanding practice within the nursery and has a BH Award for excellent parent partnerships.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Rebecca has 12 years of experience in childcare, with 10 of those years spent at Surbiton Day Nursery. She has worked with children aged from 6 months to 5 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment of her journey.


She began her career at Bright Horizons Surbiton Day as a Level 3 practitioner in the Nursery Class and has since progressed to Deputy Manager. In this role, she looks forward to supporting the team and welcoming new children and their families into the nursery.
