My son settled into the nursery very easily 3 and a half years ago and has been happy and had lovely carers throughout his stay. His allergies were catered to and now he has outgrown them. The communal meals with his peers have helped him incorporate the previously forbidden foods into his diet really well - much better than at home! He has been well prepared for starting school, we're really surprised and impressed by his ability to read easy words and do basic sums.
Our daughter attends pre-school full time. She is often one of the last to be picked up and I still have trouble getting her out of the building; she enjoys it so much she's not ready to go home. To me, this is a testament to the fantastic care that she receives. I've seen Asquith Surbiton Day Nursery & Pre-school go from strength to strength, especially in the past year. The management team has taken advantage of local amenities, introducing new activities such as Forest School (which she loved) and trips to the Rose Theatre. The back garden is amazing; there's much emphasis on outdoor play and connecting with nature (such as growing their own vegetables). She's always well fed and the food is delicious (I've tried it). Finally, the quality of the care and teaching that our daughter receives by all staff is excellent. My daughter has formed great relationships with many members of staff, and it's obvious they genuinely care about her. I would recommend without hesitation.
My son has been attending Surbiton Day Nursery in the toddler room since January this year and we have been very impressed with the care he has received and with the nursery in general. The management team are great - they are very efficient, helpful, friendly, and welcoming and have always taken an active interest in my son's wellbeing. The nursery staff directly looking after my son on a daily basis are fantastic and have gone out of their way to help my son settle in and enjoy his days at the nursery. They provide thorough feedback at the end of each day and are genuinely interested in my son's development. Most telling is that my son himself loves the nursery and the staff and thoroughly enjoys and looks forward to going to nursery. The garden is fantastic and I love that they spend a lot of time outside.
Off some steam. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone looking at childcare options.
They do so many activities, in the nursery and out, from going to Forrest school the theatre, trips to the park to see the ducks and the local library.
They have had the opportunity to meet the police, their dogs even a police horse visited them! Ambulance staff, dentist, they have so much to tell me about when they come home!
Both our girls love going in in the mornings and they adore their workers, who give them lots of love and cuddles. Even though they have a group of children to look after have very special relationships with them.
They eat better at nursery than they do at home! With the daily freshly prepared meals and sleep well at nap time.
When there is a query about something, the team are very approachable and professional in their responses.
Keep up the good work and thank you so much for looking after our girls so well!
There is a real focus on learning through play and I have been very impressed with the way the pre-school team are preparing the children in advance of their transition to school in September.
The garden is amazing and the children get lots of outdoor play time in all seasons.
There are plenty of opportunities for the children to enjoy experiences outside of the nursery setting - my daughter loves her weekly visits to Forest school and regular trips to the Rose Theatre.
Overall we have had an extremely positive experience and would highly recommend Surbiton Day Nursery.
We have been delighted with the progress that our children have made at nursery in such a caring environment. They love going thanks to the care and attention that goes into running the nursery, from the Management through to the staff looking after the children on a day-to-day basis. The catering is excellent due to the fantastic kitchen team, who often work with the children to make food together. We have always been so impressed with the time taken to manage the individual needs of the child, whether it be related to dietary requirements or learning outcomes. All the staff are hugely dedicated and cheerful and create many initiatives which are very popular amongst the children, such as the introduction of the Forest School in the Pre-School Room, or the Committee Board in the Nursery Room. The way in which Pre-School children (and parents!) are being supported with the transition to primary is particularly impressive. It is a great place for our children's early years!
Our family's experience of the Surbiton Nursery has been overwhelmingly positive. My daughter settled well in the baby room and has now progressed through all of the rooms over the years. The staff are knowledgeable and have supported my husband and I through the challenges of first-time parenthood from sleep training, progressing to her 'big girl bed', potty training and more. But what stands out for me is the genuine care and desire to support the development of the children. Asides from having Mary Poppins on site, I'm not sure I could ask for much more.
Even in winter staff continue to take the children out into the garden as much as possible, often several times in the day. The outdoor equipment is excellent enabling the children to develop imaginative play.
My daughter loves coming to nursery and it makes us as parents feel a little less guilty to leave our children. The staff and management are amazing and they do put our child's needs first. We couldn't have chosen a better nursery for our daughter.
Food quality is okay and recently improved. The nursery is a bit expensive compared with competition though it operates early start and late pick-up. Overall good.
Happy, friendly staff who interact well with the children. Our son has developed significantly in the team's care and always arrives with a smile on his face.
Outstanding nursery. Our daughter feels very happy, exciting and engaged with everyone there. The activities are fantastic and every member of staff is friendly, caring and professional. It's been wonderful to see our daughter prosper under the staff at Asquiths. The extra activities such as the Christmas Fete was a wonderful opportunity to see the nursery at it's best.
Asquith in Surbiton provides a friendly and safe environment for our daughter. The staff are all very good and the facilities and food provided at the nursery are great.
Asquith Surbiton has been amazingly supportive and kind while my son has been settling in. He now knows it as a home from home. Everyone is incredibly kind, loving and genuinely interested in ensuring the best for your child. We couldn't ask for a better care system.
Surbiton day nursery is a friendly, loving place with great facilities. My children are both developing brilliantly here. The facilities are great and staff well trained, professional and caring.
My daughter is so happy at the nursery. Every day is new, fun and the staff are just so welcoming and fantastic. I wouldn't have chosen anywhere else.
Very friendly staff, always supportive, recognising the needs and the stage of development of the child. There is a number of interesting toys which get renewed from time to time and it does not look as if children are ever bored in the nursery. The outdoor space is great as well, with lots of activities and play areas and what is important - it is very secure.
Our daughter has attended Asquiths in Surbiton since April 2015 and we have nothing but praise and gratitude for the care she has received there, starting in Baby and Toddler room and now in Nursery. I have been most impressed with the attentiveness and genuine care shown to our daughter by staff in each of the rooms and with the professionalism and proficiency of the overall administration and management. In addition, my daughter had hypermobility and had therefore required additional support which Asquiths were well placed to provide in a knowledgeable manner. We feel our daughter has made brilliant progress as a result of the supportive learning environment Asquiths have fostered but, even more importantly, she loves being there, talks warmly at home about those who care for her there and loves playing and having fun with her friends. Thank you to all at Asquiths Surbiton.
Overall we are delighted with Asquith, Surbiton for our two-year-old boy who has attended since he was one and would definitely recommend. We recently attended the nursery's festive open day which was fantastic and really enjoyed by all - the care, thought and time that the staff put into the day was reflective of the caring and nurturing environment the nursery provides. The staff, parents and children are always so happy and I truly believe my son receives fantastic educational support and loving care there.
