Bright Horizons Surbiton Day Nursery and Preschool is located in Surbiton, Surrey, in the UK. The nursery provides care for children aged from 3 months to 5 years old, and is open from 7:00am to 6.30pm, Monday to Friday. Located just a 10-minute walk from Surbiton rail station and with ample parking, the nursery is ideal for parents who commute each day.

The nursery offers a range of programs, including baby and toddler care, preschool education, and after-school care. The facility has a dedicated baby room, toddler room, and preschool room, as well as a large outdoor play area for children to explore.

The nursery is set in a spacious, converted Victorian detached house in the residential area of Surbiton, within the catchment of schools in Surbiton and Tolworth areas. The stunning rooms are full of age-specific, specialist wooden furniture and resources. The staff are friendly, experienced and highly qualified and are on hand to conduct a personal nursery tour at a time to suit you.

Bright Horizons uses a EYFS framework to promote and support education, care and development. The nursery is well equipped with a touch screen computer in their pre-school room, which helps children to prepare for school using their chosen literacy and numeracy programs. They run growing enhancement programs as part of their nursery day which includes growing readers, writers and mathematicians.

The nursery's adventure garden has its own Hobbit House, stage area, nature garden and wobbly road track all set within separate age-appropriate areas, with a separate garden for babies and toddlers.

My older child was at this nursery from 1 year old to when he went to school. When thinking about nursery for our second child we didn’t want to immediately choose the same one as they are very different children and other nurseries had opened in the local area which are closer to our house. However,
after viewing a number of local nurseries we did choose the same one and we are very glad we did. The outside space is amazing but the staff are also amazing. They really focus on the children, their well-being, learning and happiness. They really put the children at the heart of what they do. They create a welcoming, safe and fun environment with a huge amount of different daily activities for the children to take part in. I only have positive things to say about the nursery staff who we will be very sad to say goodbye to when the little one goes to school in 18 months time.

I went back to work last time when my baby was just seven months old. I was so nervous about returning to work, even for just two days a week and felt so guilty leaving the baby.
The staff at Bright Horizons are so knowledgeable and experienced and so warm and welcoming that I was put at ease instantly.
Since returning to work, I have never once worried or felt nervous about leaving my baby there.
He is now nine months old and smiles every time he sees the red front door.
The nursery plans many fun and engaging activities, way more than I could be doing at home! And my baby has become the most sociable, happy little boy. His crawling and motor skills have come on leaps and bounds since starting at Bright Horizons, and I am so grateful to the staff for nurturing such growth in him.
When I take him to baby groups, and he is the first to crawl around and socialise with other babies, I always smile and say, “it’s because he goes to nursery!”.

We are very happy we chose this well-run nursery for our daughter. She has been there from 15 months to starting school this September. The staff who looked after her are kind, approachable and professional. They really care about the children. They did an excellent job in helping my daughter be ready
for school and we are very grateful that she had such a positive experience. Also, the garden is fabulous. Cannot recommend enough!

Wonderful nursery. The staff are all really engaged and caring and individually know each child. My son has been there since he was 9 months old and can’t wait to get there every morning. The grounds are very big for an urban location too. Low staff turnover as well which is good. Highly recommend.

We are so happy with our choice of sending our little one to Bright Horizons' Surbiton Day Nursery. All the staff are highly prepared and professional, as well as lovely and dedicated. They are open to answering any questions and discussing any needs your family has. Our child needed physiotherapy support,
and they were prepared to help with the exercises prescribed by the specialist. Having no siblings, we have seen how much our child has learnt and developed new skills in the months since attending this nursery. We get updates every day through apps and pictures. Our little one adores the staff and goes there with a smile on their face every morning. Highly recommend it.

Our two daughters both attended the nursery. We have been very happy with the overall experience. Garden is huge and well equipped, rooms are tidy and clean (before the children arrive), the app is updated regularly. Staff is lovely with us and with the children. Staff-parent events are organised throughout
the year. Private parking is also very convenient for pickup and drop-off.

I honestly cannot fault this nursery. I recommend it to everyone I meet in the area. My son has been there for over a year and absolutely loves it; he runs in each morning.
The staff are wonderful and very dedicated to every child’s development. The management truly cares for the children and their
staff.
There’s a large garden for them to play in, which is rare in this area, and the amazing chef gets the children involved with cooking and baking at times.
We are moving from the area, and it pains me so much to leave; I’m tempted to drive an hour to get there!

I found Bright Horizons in February 2021, and after a year of parenting my first child in lockdown, I was very picky about who was going to look after our son. If I'm honest. I was drawn in by the glorious outdoor space and all of the learning by playing, but what has kept us feeling over the moon about

My little one attends this nursery and I cannot express how friendly the staff and management are there! My boy is currently in the under 2’s room and what I have seen from the 5 months that he has been there, how much he has developed in all areas and I cannot thank them enough! The app is absolutely

We moved our son after a bad experience with another local nursery and we are extremely happy about our choice. The staff are amazing. They immediately bonded with our son. They do a lot of activities to help the development of our toddler and they are always happy to give me detailed explanations about

I was quite worried about the settling in period - in a time of Covid and lockdown restrictions, we didn't have as much as a social element beforehand as we had wanted to. The staff were great at the nursery; approachable and very informative of the curriculum when we went for a tour back in January
of last year. With a baby in a new environment away from parents, the reaction was expected and my little one was upset, but this was surprisingly very short-lived. Within a few settling in sessions, she had settled quite well, and the tears, when handed over, were soon a thing of the past before she transitioned into full-time. I felt relieved knowing that the settling in sessions went really well and my little one got to the stage during this time where she was happy being handed over to management, and her key worker. This made my transition going back to full-time work so much better knowing that she was happy/comfortable and put my mind at ease to focus on my work.

I've been really impressed with the professionalism and kindness of the team - helping us feel confident in our two-year-old son returning to full-time nursery care since restrictions ended, and through the second and third waves.
He clearly loves going every day and runs through the door and I have
confidence that the nursery is doing everything they can do to make things as safe as they can be. The level of communication has been spot on - and they are such a friendly team, with some great leaders that I know I can give them a call any time I have a question or concern and it's always nice to see them when I pick up/drop off my son - they have a really hard job keeping things going with so much uncertainty, but seem to be a really resilient/positive team.

Both my younger and older kids are in this nursery. The management team communicates with parents very efficiently. Staff are friendly and caring. During the pandemic, parents are not allowed to enter the nursery rooms. Surprisingly, my younger one settles really well! Thanks to the staff in Baby Room.
My older one enjoy her days in nursery and is always happy when I pick her up. Highly recommended!

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Krissa has worked in childcare for the past 14 years with 7 of them working for Bright Horizons Surbiton. She started off working as a qualified member of the Toddler room and worked her way up to the Management Team.


Krissa is a very passionate worker who enjoys seeing the children's development progress over time. She thrives for outstanding practice within the nursery and has a BH Award for excellent parent partnerships.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Rebecca has 12 years of experience in childcare, with 10 of those years spent at Surbiton Day Nursery. She has worked with children aged from 6 months to 5 years and has thoroughly enjoyed every moment of her journey.


She began her career at Bright Horizons Surbiton Day as a Level 3 practitioner in the Nursery Class and has since progressed to Deputy Manager. In this role, she looks forward to supporting the team and welcoming new children and their families into the nursery.
