The only issue is a high turnover of carers, no idea why it is high, that then affects the children who need consistency.
The only issue I can think of is that there's no fresh air circulation in pre-school room and in summer it is too damp and stuffy. There should be openable windows and using air conditioner is not enough as it wouldn't bring in more oxygen!
This is a lovely, lively nursery with passionate and caring staff. The premises has just been refurbished and there is both great indoor and outdoor play space (albeit not huge). My son has been attending for the past 1.5 years and he has a great time there.
The staff at the baby room are lovely and affectionate with the children. They clearly value each child’s unique personality and respond to their needs. My daughter loves it there and I am completely confident that she is well taken care of.
My son is in the toddler room. His key worker is fantastic but all the team throughout the nursery provide a warm, welcoming environment for parents and the kids. They do so many different fun activities and my son loves singing the French songs he has learnt in his French lesson and tennis and football. A great start to my sons learning in a lovely fun environment.
My son is going to Bright Horizons since the last 10 months now. He has joined this school/day care when he was 9 months old and he got settled there really well, really early. The care, individual attention, attention to every detail, like how much he drank milk, or ate was notified at the end of the day. The activities they carry out daily is age appropriate and they encourage kids to learn new things, soft play, messy play are all well encouraged here. I cant recommend more. It is by far the best day nursery for infants and toddlers. Bright Horizons, St John's Wood.
We have been very pleased with Bright Horizons in St John's Wood. The staff have been fantastic. Friendly, helpful and, above all, incredibly caring and supportive towards our daughter. She clearly loves being there, loves the nursery staff and has thrived in the nursery environment.
Our only complaints are that the nursery is particularly expensive even when compared to another Bright Horizons nursery, which is presumably a direct comparison, and that slightly more rigorous care might be taken about hygiene in the toddlers' area. The no shoe policy (for visiting/collecting parents) is not enforced and there do not appear to be any facilities to encourage toddlers to wash their hands before meals.
Thank you for your feedback. I would like to assure you that we take seriously parents feedback as our focus is to deliver high standards of care and education; whilst working to ensure that we provide safe, clean places for the children and staff at all times. I have passed your comments on the Nursery Manager who will discuss with you any concerns.
I could not commend the staff at the St John's Wood Early Care and Education Centre enough. They are extremely caring and tentative to my child and every other child under their care.
When I drop off my daughter in the mornings, the staff are always friendly and make an effort start my day off on a happy bubbly tone knowing that my daughter is well looked after.
A friendly and nurturing environment where my son feels happy and safe. The staff are excellent and have responded well to our son's evolving needs. His key worker has been an outstanding source of continuity, however all of the staff have taken an active interest in his development and seem to genuinely care for him.
Babies do lots of different and fun activities. My daughter loved the music class every Monday and Friday!
