We have been happy with the whole process, from gradual introduction to intake. The staff have always been helpful, friendly and accommodating. The daily reports of our son's day have proved useful and given a picture of how he has spent his day.

Bright Horizons St John's Wood has been amazing to us and to our child. Our child is very shy and suspicious and has a lot of difficulty in adapting and getting comfortable with strangers and she had all the support and love from the nursery, they even made the effort to learn a few of the words she
had learned during lockdown at home, which were not in English. She is now a happy radiant baby thanks to their love and support, she loves going to the "little school" as she calls it and when she's back home she sings all the nursery rhymes she learnt and she's now learning English too.
During lockdown, Bright Horizons didn't charge any fees, which was really good of them.
The food is great, varied and balanced. My daughter has now been in the baby, toddler and 2-3's room. Very happy in all. Special thanks to three members of staff in particular.

My son started in the Baby Room at the nursery at 11 months and then moved into the Toddler Room. I found the staff in both rooms to be very warm, kind and attentive to my son, always providing helpful feedback at pick up and generally being reassuring to me particularly on the days when he was more
tearful saying goodbye. Those working in the office were always so helpful and accommodating which was also hugely appreciated. The nursery has a warm and friendly atmosphere and I felt very comfortable leaving my precious son in their care.

It is literally bright horizons! My son and daughter have been at this nursery for 2.5 years.
I cannot say thank you enough for looking after those monsters for that long time. We are delighted and honoured they spent many valuable days here. Both have grown up healthy and developed their skills. An
excellent achievement! All staff are incredibly supportive and super friendly - it was so hard for us to leave here but our children needed to take their next steps. I truly recommend this nursery - I wish I were a toddler again. Have wonderful time and we wish all the children a brilliant future.

The staff at the nursery have gone above and beyond to welcome my son and I into the nursery. They made his settling in period as smooth as possible and when I come to collect him, he is always smiling and often being cuddled.

His development has come on leaps and bounds since starting - every day

he seems to be doing something new and I know he is being engaged and entertained every minute of his time there.

The staff clearly adore every child there and are truly delighted to see the children when they arrive each morning - with every member of staff welcoming him, even those who work in different rooms. They have also been wonderful with me - understanding how tough this adjustment is for a parent and reassuring me whenever I need it with kind words and photos.

I couldn’t recommend this nursery more!

Management was very flexible with part-time scheduling and quickly accommodated an urgent need for childcare due to a move. Our 2.5-year-old daughter started in the 2-3 room in September 2018. Teachers were extremely caring and made her feel right at home. A wide range of activities and crafts were
offered, as well as a small outdoor space for outdoor play. This is a great, nurturing nursery where the focus is on play as it should be for this age group. Children and parents are very happy here!

My son started going to Bright Horizons, St John's Wood at 18 months old. I have been very impressed by the nursery. The staff are really friendly and caring and it is a real pleasure picking up and dropping my son off there. They have a lot of activities, they even hired a local club for music and
dancing class every week. My son comes home every day with new skills, such as colours, names, counting and sorting out shapes. I would really recommend it to everyone.

My daughter has been very happy at Bright Horizons, and I have felt very comfortable leaving her in your care. She has made lots of friends, learned how to be independent from me and her dad, and has thrived in the nursery environment. On the odd occasion that she cried when I dropped her off, her carers
were really great - they called me to reassure me that she was alright. I've liked the nursery so much, that I've enrolled her brother to start in September!

3 years ago we started at Bright Horizons St Johns Wood with my 18-month-old son and 3-year-old daughter. I can't speak enough about the staff (both inside and outside the nursery rooms). Early on, the staff became aware of our children's personalities (my daughter's being shy and my son's being energetic).
They would nurture those personalities to help them grow through learning, play and care. They spoke about how each day went, if they felt happy or a little sad, what they had learnt and who they had made as friends. The management team and chef were also so friendly and kind - they too knew everything about our children! My daughter, having left the school two years ago, still goes in when we drop my son to visit (one person in particular she adores and has a special bond). We would recommend both the facility and the staff for any parent looking for a friendly and caring environment that combines learning, fun and love for their child. Thank you Bright Horizons!

Our daughter has just graduated from Bright Horizons in St Johns Wood after almost 3 years at the nursery. From the baby room straight up to the preschool room every detail has been thought about. Throughout her time she has thoroughly loved going to school every day.
She had a beautiful relationship
with all her teachers and would always fondly talk about her friends and teachers at home. We will miss the school so much, we have so much to thank them for! X

Leaving your child at a nursery for the first time is a daunting experience. At Bright Horizons in St John's Wood, the staff (from management to child carers) are very nice, professional and understanding. I felt my 1-year-old daughter was not just looked after but genuinely liked and cared about. This
meant a lot to me and is a credit to the staff. They were quick to pick up on my daughter's likes and dislikes and adjusted things to help her settle in, as well as reassuring my wife and I that everything was fine.

Our daughter just graduated from Bright Horizons in St Johns Wood after spending nearly 3 years at the nursery. She started in the infant room, moved to the toddler room, 2s - 3s room and finally the preschool room. Throughout her experience, she was enthusiastic about going to school every day. She
connected with the teachers, made friends, did arts and crafts, sang songs, explored the local neighbourhood, learned to ride a bike, read books and expanded the variety of foods she ate through the wonderful lunch and tea options available to her on a daily basis. Each day at pick up I was provided with a full description of her day and what she did, how she ate, and any special activities that were happening around the school. I am fully confident that she was well cared for and loved by the teachers and staff during her time at the nursery and we will miss everyone there so much!

Our son has been in the baby room for 7 months since the age of 6 months. We find the staff extremely caring and enthusiastic. Our son has become a confident, adaptable, happy and curious little boy over time who is extremely good at interacting with other children and adults. Would highly recommend
this nursery.

I think this nursery is one of the best around here because it's very safe and staff are very helpful to take care. My son was sometimes uneasy to visit nursery but staff have taken care of him with patience. I would like to express my gratitude to all staff.

My daughter has been attending Bright Horizons at St. John’s Wood for 6 months now. She absolutely loves it there and is very well cared for. The facilities are great - bright, spacious, clean and stimulating. The staff are just incredible.
The primary carer allocated to my daughter has been excellent.
She is attentive, kind and on the ball. She has helped her develop a sense of independence in many ways - feeding herself, creative play and developing her language/speaking skills. The other carers are all excellent as well. I often get feedback from multiple carers on a daily basis. There are lots of elements that make this a great nursery - they serve fresh, tasty food (I’ve seen it), they have fun activities (heartbeeps is my daughter’s favourite) and the staff make an effort to get to know the kids’ likes and dislikes.
The settling period is very good - they give newbies a full week to settle in and are very experienced in helping kids make this transition to nursery.

We consider our son had a brilliant experience during his stay at the nursery. He was in the toddler's room for a year.
The staff at the room genuinely cared and procured for him, making him (and us) always welcomed. They understood his needs and created a wonderful environment and when the usual
toddler issues appeared (e.g. tantrums or other related behaviours) they always guided us and had a word of advice on the matter.
My son developed great people skills and his vocabulary vastly improved. He always seemed to enjoy the range of activities they had for him during the day. Communicating with the staff was always a delight as they listened to our needs and demands. Overall I was delighted with our experience!

We have been pleased with the nursery, which we originally selected due to the intimate size of the rooms (in comparison to other larger nurseries in the area) and the attitudes of the staff. Whether it be the baby room, toddler room, or 2/3s room, we have been very happy with all aspects of the nursery
- and in particular, the way in which the staff have worked with our child around potty training, behaviour setting etc. We have every confidence that our child is surrounded by learning opportunities, discipline and affection each day of nursery. The management team have also been extremely supportive and accessible. Thank you Bright Horizons St John’s Wood!

Current Review Score: 9.3 (9.287)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.3 (9.287) out of 10 for Bright Horizons St John's Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  1. The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 9 Reviews in the last 24 months.
  2. The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.5 out of 5 from 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  1. 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months. The Average Rating of 4.824 for Bright Horizons St John's Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is calculated as follows: ( (92 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 108 Ratings = 4.824
  2. 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5'). The 4.463 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Bright Horizons St John's Wood Day Nursery and Preschool is based on 9 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    1. 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.9
    2. 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 80 number of registered child places is 16. 9 Positive Reviews ÷ 16 = 0.563
  3. When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.
  4. If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
