Located close to the Old Street Tube station, Co-op Childcare Islington has bright, spacious rooms for each of their age groups. They bring the outdoors inside as they've created a sensory garden area, a beach and an indoor Gruffalo nature walk.

The nursery goes above and beyond for safety which is why ALL its staff are paediatric first-aid trained. They keep parents informed on what their child has been up to all day including observations, assessments, meals, (and even toilet training progress!) using an app called ParentZone.

The team know that little things can make a big difference, so they make sure to give children lots of hands-on experiences through activities such as growing food (and eating it!), and doing their bit for the environment. They will also make regular visits to a local care home and be involved with a global eco-schools programme, making them aware of their environment and local community.

The staff are amazing. My eldest daughter went to this nursery and loved it here. I knew I would be sending my youngest there without question. The staff are very personable and my daughter runs into to nursery with excitement. It's clean and the food served to the children is varied. The staff try
and make the day for the children very varied and encourage then to learn.

As a parent I appreciate the difficult decision it takes to trust a childcare provider with your child, however, my daughter has been attending this nursery for over a year and has been cared for consistently well. All the staff are friendly and helpful and I particularly like the open door policy which
reassures me as a parent that I can call unannounced to see my child in this setting if I wish to, I am currently on maternity leave but will be more than comfortable to leave my new baby also in this nursery, I highly recommend this nursery.

My son really enjoys his time at the nursery, when arriving he happily goes to his key person who is amazing. I love the fact I can check my phone via parent zone and see how much he has eaten and if he has had an afternoon nap. Staff and the management team are always very helpful and the nursery has

Wonderful nursery - my daughter is so happy there since starting in March. The staff are very warm and attentive and do a fantastic job. I have already recommended the nursery to two friends (who now send their kids there too), and would happily recommend it to anyone.

My daughter enjoys the nursey. The staff are helpful and friendly. Good communication throughout the day. Healthy meals. Plenty of fun games sing-alongs during the day. I'm very happy that I found this nursey as it has a good outstanding excellence of care that they provide.

The nursery has a lovely layout and the rooms are a place I am happy for my son to spend a considerable amount of time in. The outdoor space is what attracted me to this nursery. The security of the nursery is the best I have seen and the team are always very vigilant with other members of the family
collecting, etc. which I welcome.
The nursery has a great mix of ethnic groups which I celebrate. The staff range from all ages which give a vast amount of experience and personal contributions to the children. The staff are caring and professional. The nursery teaches the children to be independent. My son is now fully potty trained with the support of the nursery. My son comes home singing different songs he has learnt. They allow the children time to free play which is good as children of this age just want to play!

I absolutely love this nursery for my child, he has settled in well and is always happy when I pick him up.
The staff are always happy and friendly makes me feel very comfortable leaving my son in their hands.
Very happy with the wide range of meals available, my son was not interested in fruit and
feeding himself, now he will eat all fruits and he loves feeding himself. I am very happy with his progress since attending nursery.
This nursery is definitely 10/10 for me and my son.

Our daughter started in the Caterpillar room just after she turned 1. Overall we were very happy with this nursery and felt really comfortable leaving her there each day. The space itself is lovely: spacious, freshly done and loads of toys and activities for the children to explore. There is also a
pretty big outdoor space with plants and other activities. The staff are all very sweet and our daughter quickly made friends with them!

Fantastic nursery! My son recently joined the nursery and the settling in period was very smooth. I have just attended the parents meeting this week and it is amazing how quickly they have identified his strengths and areas of improvement. There is already a robust plan in place and partnership with
me to enhance is development. All staff are welcoming, extremely warm and very professional, they give you detailed feedback at the end of each day. We are VERY happy, thank you!

Little Pioneers was wonderful when we went for the open day - full of staff and seemed organised.
Now there are not enough staff and it has been like this for six months and they are merging two classes because they cannot find a better option.
My child does like the school after all but there is
no system there and they can not seem to manage it properly.

We have been delighted with the care our son has received at this nursery, from when he first joined at 9 months old and ongoing now he is nearly 2 years old. Particular strengths are their excellent communication and responsiveness to feedback, as well as the very visible and present management team
and diverse staff and peer population. He has bonded well with his peers and those staff that he knows there, and is happy and comfortable in the environment there. They support his learning in an age-appropriate way and facilitate time outdoors as the weather allows. We are grateful that while we are at work he is in an environment he enjoys and feels happy, confident and safe within.

This is a fantastic nursery, everyone is friendly and they talk to me about my daughter's progress. Since starting she has greatly increased her confidence and her vocabulary and her fine motor skills. If you have any questions they answer it and I love that they can play outside. The food is great
and they have many staff in the room.

We have had a wonderful experience at the Co-operative nursery. The staff have been amazing and our son has thrived. We have been pleased with how much-individualized attention they seem to get and how well each staff member knows our son. I find it easy to work with the staff to help my son reach each

We absolutely love the staff at the Co-operative nursery. They were amazing with our son and really encouraged his development. The facilities are great for babies and young children and the outdoor space is well designed (not to mention rather large by London standards!).

The nursery team seems to be working hard together to create a friendly, safe and attractive environment for kids. The facility went through renovation last year, so looks superb. The nursery has been also taken over by the active management team, which has positive consequences (as seen from parent's
perspective).


Children have lots of toys and educational items and large outdoor space, which is even partially covered, therefore used all year around. In some instances, however, more support to parents would be beneficial (such as potty training, speech, etc.) My little one is very happy here and has lots of friends.
