Partou Rosendale Road Day Nursery & Pre-School

The nursery is located in a beautiful building with high ceilings and enough room to accommodate children needs and a variety of activities. The garden is small yet offers entertainment and freedom to move around to all children. The staff have always been very warm and welcoming during these years and they have adapted to the Covid-19 situation by offering a safe environment and doing their best to continue to offer the service when possible. My child loves to go to the nursery and feels she has made many friends. Certainly recommending it!

Nelly’s Nursery - Rosendale Road is excellent! My first daughter went from the age of two until she went to school and my youngest is there at the moment and is two and a half. The staff are lovely, the children love them. The facilities are excellent and they always seem to have new things to do and explore. The menu is excellent. We are updated with photos throughout the week and with their care report throughout the day. They have been great at supporting us as keyworkers in the last year. I totally recommend them! Thank you for your hard work!

One area I would like a little more attention given to is child development in the form of progress updates. Other than that, Nellys is excellent!

We have had two children at Nelly's and really rate the staff and the level of care. My daughter is currently in the baby room and she is so happy to go to nursery she runs in the door in the mornings barely looking back! She has really bonded with all the staff in her room who are all brilliant at their jobs, and it's lovely to see how much they all care. The rooms are really big and spacious, as well as having a large communal hall and free flow garden, and she is very happy at the end of the day when I collect her.

An excellent facility with lots of activities for children, great play area for curious minds to enjoy and very good outdoor space. The staff are fantastic and I have been so impressed with the level of care and attention provided to my daughter. My daughter started the nursery from 9 months and the Nelly's settling-in period is a great opportunity for both carers and children to gradually adjust to the change. After some initial tears on settling in, my daughter absolutely loves the nursery, she looks forward to it and I have seen a great leap in her verbal development and other skills such as feeding herself. The nursery were also particularly helpful and proactive during the lockdown measures following the pandemic and very informative in the steps to mitigate risks. The only suggestion for a change would be more options for meals (although the menu is very healthy).

What I like about Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale is the space is a bit free-form, the warmth of the old church and high ceilings, the creativity of the toys, the big hall, the way the rooms connect, it really feels like an environment geared around play and exploration. Both my daughter's keyworkers have been excellent - she absolutely loves them. The best part is she runs in without even saying goodbye to me. Really great for socialization with older children as well.

My elder daughter attended this nursery before my younger daughter who is there currently, and I have been very happy with the provision over the years. The staff here hold themselves to very high standards, and will always look at ways in which to improve the nursery, for example from changes to the layout through to improving the menu, which I have seen over the time my daughters have attended. Both my daughters formed extremely secure attachments to their key workers and other staff in the nursery, and I can rest assured that they have been happy, safe and very well cared for. During the pandemic, I continued to use the hub nursery, which brought together staff from other branches too, and the provision of care under what must have been very stressful circumstances for those still working was excellent. I will be very sad to finally say goodbye to this nursery one year from now, and I would recommend it very highly to anyone considering it as an option for their child.

This setting is very good all year round, doing different themes (Christmas, Easter etc). I love the fact that they do this and keep children active and interested.

The nursery has really nice activities for the children. The teachers are really nice with my daughter, they take care of her, she loves them. My daughter enjoys coming to nursery a lot. She is doing great and she is growing all of her skills. I am really happy with the nursery, the managers and the teachers. They have the perfect space for the children.

A lovely nursery and the staff are great with my son, he loves it and rushes in every morning. Very happy with our choice of nursery.

My toddler joined Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road from another nursery a few months ago and the transition was significantly easier than I anticipated. His key person organised a series of settling-in sessions, which introduced him gradually to everything. And when he officially started and I was picking him up in the evenings, I was struck by how high his spirits were.

The nursery space itself is very big, which I think is brilliant for children with lots of energy. And there are a lot of different things for the children to do, precisely because the space is so big. My little boy likes to draw and paint and that is available to him every morning when he arrives, which he loves. And the staff are really imaginative in what they encourage him to create.

I would also make mention of the menu, which is more wholesome than I was used to. And I like the feedback sheet at the end of the day. Finally, his key- and co-key people are particularly warm and caring and I feel lucky he has them.

We chose this nursery because we liked the facilities. Unfortunately, it was not an environment that suited our little boy. At age 2, he began as one of the youngest children in the huge area for 2 upwards. he was extremely anxious and took 10 months to settle (even then, he really did not want to attend). It was only after 6 months of his unhappiness that staff began to make a bit of an effort - too little too late. Despite some individual efforts, this nursery focuses on forms and procedures and not the children.

My daughter has just started at Nelly's, she's 10 months and both she and us parents are amazed by how well she's been. The staff are friendly, happy and welcoming. I feel like we've found the best place for her.

He has quite complex dietary requirements and all staff are reassuring about the food cooked daily and his contact with it.

We couldn’t be happier with the care for our daughter who is currently in the baby room. The staff are kind and our daughter has a lot of fun with them. They were so supportive during her settling in phase and always know how to look after her if she’s upset.

Our daughter started in the baby room recently and she is already thriving. We are really impressed with the size and variety of activities in the baby room - our daughter is there full time and most nursery baby rooms I visited were tiny and I dreaded leaving her for 35 hours a week between those four walls. The staff and management were very good in the settling in period, understanding what she needed to make it comfortable for her, so our daughter quickly adjusted, more quickly than we expected to be honest. When we pick her up she has always learned new things and is in great spirits. I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone looking for a place where their children will thrive.
