Partou Rosendale Road Day Nursery & Pre-School

I can't thank Nelly's enough for all they have done for both our son and daughter. Our daughter joined in lockdown and they were brilliant. The staff and the baby room are incredible, attentive and loving. My son has had his challenges and the main room have worked closely with us to support and encourage him. The key workers take time to understand and be there for all the children.

A really lovely nursery! The staff were always so welcoming, warm and friendly and although he didn’t seem to have much of an attachment to his key worker, the other staff in the nursery seemed to genuinely bond with and care for our little boy. I looked around so many nurseries in Dulwich before deciding on Nelly's Nursery, the learning environment was the most interesting with a big hall space for the children to burn off energy and a fun and stimulating set up, especially in the 2+ room where it really looked like time had been taken to make the tables and activities look fun and appealing to the children.

As I expected there were some tears and wobbles when my son was initially settling in but he soon would walk into nursery happily without looking back at me, eager to play with his friends and the toys, which was such a great feeling to then continue my day knowing he was happy and busy. Thank you Nelly's Nursery for a positive nursery experience and for helping prepare our son for school.

Our oldest child started at this nursery back in 2017 and I can't recommend it enough. The staff are all friendly, caring and ensure that all children are well looked after. There is a great selection of toys and activities, and the space the children have to play in is fantastic. The building is split into 3 main areas: the baby room (up to 2 years), the main room (2 years and older) and the hall which is used as a dining area for the older children as well as a play area for all the children (the two groups take it in turns to use), which gives the children a large space to run around and play - particularly useful on wet days!

Really friendly staff who take a real interest in my child and have really supported them as they have grown. My child really likes the mixed age groups and has best friends aged 2 and 4. The staff provides a range of activities based on my child’s interests and they get a lot out of them. Communication is really good and the online portal is really useful for keeping me up to date and is really well used by the staff.

Very happy with the nursery. My son is in the Baby room and moving up soon. He has a smile on his face when I drop him off and pick him up. The room is always clean and full of activities for kids. Staff are very friendly and caring. I really like how well they know him and know how to support him in his development. And that huge common room, lots of space and light. Very impressive.

My son started when he was 1 during the pandemic as I had to return to work. He settled in instantly which put me at ease. He’s always keen and excited to go and see his friends. He’s learnt a lot since being there and he’s saying lots more! The staff and management team are amazing and very accommodating. Nelly’s Rosendale is in a great location and the facilities are superb.

We have had a real positive journey so far at Nelly's Nursery Rosendale Road for our son. He struggled to settle in so the nursery has been very flexible with their approach to help him feel at home. Everyone has been very loving and caring which for us is the most important thing about a nursery. The nursery has great facilities and lots of space to run around. The environment is very welcoming and the management team, as well as the caring team, are wonderful. Going forward we would love to see more time spent outdoors so the kids get to explore all parts of the nursery daily.

I couldn't recommend Nelly's at Rosendale Road enough. They have been absolutely brilliant in working around our needs, especially during the pandemic they have done everything they can to support our family. My daughter loves it and adores the team - she is always so happy at drop off and pick up. The team are lovely and really go above and beyond for the little ones. Great location and beautiful building with loads of indoor space to play and have fun for the older ones - and a beautiful separate room for the babies.

My daughter is very happy to go to nursery everyday. I can see she is developing with the help of the staff who are doing a very good job, even in pandemic times. Well done to them all and thank you for taking excellent care of the children.

My daughter loves her time at Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road. I drop her off and she doesn’t look back as she is so excited to run in and play. I think the regular updates via the app are great. I know my daughter is very fond of her key worker and staff. I also feel she is learning a lot from the activities that take place. Very happy with the nursery.

Our son was only twelve months old when he started Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road and we were so worried about it but he settled in so quickly! Six months later and he wakes up in the morning saying “Nursery Day!” He’s so excited to go to nursery and play with all his friends, he eats all his food and naps well. The staff are amazing, incredibly supportive and so hard-working. We are so happy we chose Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road!

Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road is an exceptional nursery, one which cares superbly for the children and really makes them feel at home. Both of my sons have attended the nursery and my eldest still speaks fondly of his time there. Connections between key workers and the children are securely built and the facilities the nursery offers are way above others in the area. The nursery has seen some internal promotions which has made a very positive improvement. There is lots of space for the children to run around and they have access to the main hall too which makes such a difference. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who is thinking of sending their little ones.

My two year old daughter started at Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road five months ago and the staff have made every effort to help with this transition period for her. Her talking and counting have come on significantly and she is growing in confidence. I am always impressed by the varied and nutritious weekly food menu and although I haven't been able to experience much of it due to Covid-19, the environment the children play in, inside and out is beautiful and inspiring for developing minds!

Our experience so far has been excellent. All the staff has always been very friendly and cooperative to make our daughter feel welcome and cherished. From our point of view the nursery has a great plan for the physical and intellectual development of its children, multiple activities are presented in this sense. The food menu is varied and according to the nutritional needs of our children. The staff always try to give us as much information as possible, personally or via App. The only thing we would like to know better are the facilities but we understand that due to the pandemic situation this is not possible.

I wouldn't trust any other early years setting to look after my children rather than Nelly's Rosendale. The staff is extremely lovely and caring. No child is ever a number at Nelly's but they are nurtured and cared for with love and passion. Children are naturally helped and guided to explore the world around them while their aptitudes are encouraged. They are also gently pushed to overcome and work on their limits. All of this by respecting their time and development. Only suggestion: I would like to see less meat on the menus.

We're so happy with Nelly's. The confidence compassion and dedication of the staff have always made us feel so at ease leaving our daughter there. She is so happy to be there and we are so grateful for your nursery and proud to send her there.

A wonderful nursery. Our son is really happy and thriving here. He is currently in the baby room and the staff here have been brilliant, especially so during the pandemic and we're very appreciative for their care and attention. He cannot wait to get to nursery on a Monday morning and barely looks back as he runs in. The key person system works really well and definitely eased the settling in period for us, enabling our son to build confidence in his new settings and he now has great relationships with the whole baby room team. Highly recommend.

Our older son went to Nelly's until he left for school at 3 and a half years and our 18 month old is still there. We absolutely love Nelly's, both of our boys come/came home beaming after spending their day there. The staff puts in a lot of effort to keep the children entertained with different projects every day and always make sure they are on track with their development. The garden is on the smaller side but it's well arranged and a lot of effort has gone into it. Also, always great to see that our boys had time outside regardless of the weather as the staff always made sure they were dressed appropriately. The staff is fantastic, both of our boys warmed to all of them, not just their key workers. The manager and deputy manager are excellent too and have kept the communication going throughout this difficult time. We can not thank the staff enough for taking such good care of our little ones.

I've been particularly impressed with the strong relationships the team at Nelly's Nursery -Rosendale Road have made with both my children. They take the 'key worker' system really seriously and I feel the assigned staff are personally accountable for and invested in my girls' happiness. I think this really sets Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road aside for me. We are so happy dropping our children off because they are so keen to get inside! The facilities are great and the building is lovely. Food allergies handled confidently and the menu is varied. I'm also pleased with the thorough procedures that the management team have in place for accidents and medications. We feel we are in safe hands with this experienced, warm and competent team.

Nelly's Nursery - Rosendale Road is a very welcoming nursery for our two boys and the staff always go over and above, especially during the recent pandemic. The nursery is a nice, large space that the children can enjoy.
