Bright Horizons Bank Street Day Nursery and Preschool

It's so reassuring to drop him off every day knowing he's going to receive exceptional care and have a lot of fun. I would recommend this nursery without reservation. A big thank you to all the staff at Bank Street!

This is a wonderful nursery. My daughter has been going there for over two years now, and she really enjoys it. The staff are so friendly, helpful and great with the children. My daughter has learnt so much there - the staff are always planning great activities. I'd definitely recommend this nursery!

Another nursery has a larger indoor play area, but I am glad we chose the Bank St nursery due to the quality of staff. This nursery does not have an outside space, but I think the staff more than compensate for this by exploring the different interesting areas.

Our son has been attending Bank Street Nursery since he was one year old. He started in the baby room, then moved up to toddlers room and he is now in Rising 3s room. He is the happiest child to be at nursery and often talks about his key person at home. Throughout his time at the nursery, all the staff in the different rooms he has been in and especially his key workers have been truly amazing. They all place the children in the heart of everything they do. The children go on outings on a daily basis which my son loves. He has built friendships, developed his confidence and has made secure attachments with his teachers. The management team are incredibly passionate to deliver outstanding service for every child, every day in every room. Our son is privileged to be in such a warm, loving and caring environment.

My daughter came to Bright Horizons Bank St at 12 months old, at the end of national lockdown, having socialised with next to no other children her age for the 4 months previous, and with extreme separation anxiety. We were unexpectedly delighted to find that she settled exceptionally well. There were next to no tears when she began full-time the following week, and by the end of the second week, she was "asking" to leave for daycare earlier than scheduled in the mornings by running over to her buggy or grabbing her shoes and trying to put them on. Three months in, she is all smiles at drop-off and pick-up and genuinely excited to return on Monday mornings. The staff are truly exceptional and have been so sensitive and understanding of our concerns and anxieties. 110% recommend.

Filled with dread at the thought of resettling my two-year-old back at nursery after being at home with us for 6 months due to Covid-19. But after four days of my child protesting by crying, trying to head back out the door when we arrived in the foyer and nursery staff kindly bringing toys and entertaining her at the entrance to entice her to come in, everything is now smooth sailing. The staff have to actually remind my daughter to say goodbye to mummy when I drop her off. Although I can't enter the nursery itself to reassure myself that she is indeed having a good time, she really is having a great time at nursery. My daughter regularly rehearses the new songs she's learnt with the actions (e.g. 'rolly polly', 'where's the dinosaurs..'), she constantly talks about the nursery staff and her friends using their names, and our car ride home is filled with a very happy and chatty almost two-and-a-half-year-old. All staff have been so affectionate with my daughter which has given me a lot of comfort.

Our daughter started in the baby room and was soon interrupted by the lockdown. She then joined the toddler room having to resettle again. The staff exercised great care and helped her fit in very quickly. There was only a little tear on the first day, and she is now always smiling and happily going to the nursery. The management team is very much on top of things and incorporated our daughter’s home activities into fun games. She has so much fun and comes home tired and ready for a good night's sleep. On the next day, she cannot wait to go back to the nursery again. The kids do a lot of messy play and crafts which she loves taking home to show us. We have seen our daughter grow tremendously – she is cheerful and evermore confident. We are very pleased with the nursery, and our initial reservations on the room sizes are completely gone as the children go out for walks and outdoor games. Most importantly, the staff genuinely love and care for the children.

Bank Street Nursery is outstanding in every aspect! Our son has been attending for over 2 years and he not only loves it but has made such great progress during this time thanks to the caring staff. We found all staff members to be extremely friendly and professional, and I could probably name all of them but special kudos to the management office as well as the key persons looking after the kids. The kitchen staff is also very attentive and they provide a balanced and nutritious menu that rotates to provide variety. The kids engage in several activities every day where they not only have fun but also learn a lot. They also get to spend time outside every day (with close supervision) which is great. I can't recommend this nursery enough. The setting is great, staff friendly and professional, and you have total peace of mind knowing that your little one is well looked after and having a ton of fun every day!

The staff at the Bright Horizon's Bank Street Nursery is the best that I have come across. I was really apprehensive to first send my child to any nursery. I visited so many of them. But as soon as I visited the Bank Street Branch, I knew this was where my child should go. It's extremely clean with the highest standards of care. The staff are extremely compassionate with parents and children. They are very engaging and organised. I am extremely happy that I made this choice.

Our son started nursery last year in September in the baby room. He was only 9-months, and the staff at the nursery was very caring and settled him in no time. He was very well taken care of, and he enjoyed his time at the nursery. He moved to the toddler room right before the lockdown and in the short time he spent there he made significant progress in communication, walking and feeding himself. The nursery is engaging the kids in a variety of activities, and they also used to have these days open for parents, which we found beneficial as it allowed us to see him in the nursery environment. The nursery has also been very efficient at getting the kids back to the nursery after the lockdown. They are very good with following the new regulations imposed by COVID, and our son enjoys being back at the nursery. We would certainly recommend this nursery.

We are very happy with this nursery. It is the place where our baby started exploring the world outside our home. Since he started we could see how rapidly he would learn new things from both the other kids and the teachers. The entire staff is always friendly and supportive and in just a few days our child felt comfortable and happy. Would definitely recommend this nursery.

Amazing staff, who are not only capable but are keen on ensuring all aspects of our daughter, who recently transitioned from another Pre-school to the Bank Street Bright Horizons nursery, are taken care of. The management and the staff are very engaging, polite, patient and responsive and cater to our daughter's development needs. We feel safe and happy about having chosen this nursery for our daughter.

Bank Street Bright Horizons has been our first choice of nursery. We loved the place from the viewing. Management are very dedicated and the staff are very friendly to parents and engaging with kids. They were rated outstanding in February 2019 by OFSTED - a really well-deserved rating. All the time on the waiting list is worth it. My boy has been in the baby room and recently moved to the toddler room. We are happy with both the rooms. My boy is now there four full days per week. He definitely loves going to nursery. When we tell him Nursery, he will just grab his bag and wait at the door with a big smile.

He is now happy when we leave him in the mornings and pick him up late afternoon, doing 2-4 long days a week, and will soon start full time.

He's also got sensitive skin which the nursery has looked after very well, using the prescribed cream regularly and helping to keep this in check.

Good Service and Care of our Daughter who feels confortable at the nursery, we can see how much confidence she has built since she started, she also seems to have learned many things since she has been at the nursery.

They care about doing a good job. They love the children under their care. They provide constructive feedback to help us raise our child.

I feel confident that the management at Bank Street really take the time to get to know both parent and child and are very good at looking after both. The staff are loving, supportive and kind and that's exactly the kind of atmosphere I want my daughter to grow and develop in and their supportive family approach helps me very much too.

This is exactly what we wanted for his early care.

My seven month old baby has just started at Bank Street and I could not recommend the nursery more highly. From the moment I first visited, to her first settling in days the staff had me reassured that my daughter would be cared for and looked after while there. Now she has started full time, she is thriving under nursery care and is visibly excited when we take her there in the morning and is still just as excited and happy when we pick her up. The manager and the whole team are excellent but particular thanks must go to the two staff members who my daughter is delighted to be cared for.
