Bright Horizons Bank Street Day Nursery and Preschool

My son has attended Bright Horizons Bank Street since he was 20 months old. He's moved from the Babies room to Raising Three, and is now thriving in Preschool. Every stage has incredibly helped build his personality and knowledge. The staff are amazing, friendly, and treat him with genuine love. They offer a fantastic range of activities, and despite not having a private garden, they take the children out to explore local parks and area whenever the weather is suitable. This is a wonderful bonus, as they get to experience different places instead of the same space every day. Communication is also spot on, with perfect daily app updates and staff always available for a chat if needed.

Rating reduced from 5/5 to 3/5 after six months. Persistent staff shortages mean agency staff and transfers from other branches are now a daily presence, while designated key workers rarely overlap with drop-off or pick-up times. A few permanent staff still deliver outstanding care, but they are too thinly spread to lift the overall standard. Daily reports lack detail: queries about minor injuries are usually answered with "we don't know". Communication issues persist-the inbound phone line was unavailable for weeks before anyone noticed. Management is unstable (manager on extended leave, deputy redeployed), which has dismantled routines that once gave children structure. My child, previously eager, is now hesitant at drop-off. Facilities, food and location remain strong and fees are neither the best or worst (for the area), hence three stars, but until staffing and leadership stabilise the service feels closer to ad-hoc childcare than the reliable nursery it was.

My son attends this nursery and they have been wonderful in accommodating for him. They make everything extra special, they put so much effort into his activities and ensure he gets a wide variety of experiences. I am really grateful for the care and attention my son gets from Bright Horizons Bank Street. His key worker is very well experienced and they are working hard to develop him everyday. I feel comfortable and confident leaving my baby in their care.

Overall, it's been a fantastic experience - I can highly recommend to any parent.

I wanted to express my appreciation for the wonderful nursery that has played such a significant role in my daughter's growth journey. The branch is managed very professionally, and the team there is exceptional. They pay careful attention to all the details and observe our kids attentively. The level of education quality, cleanliness, and activities are always top-notch.

My son has settled really well into Bright Horizons at Bank Street and much of that owes to the loving and patient staff. He definitely looks forward to going to school every morning (even though at times it's sad for me to see him go off with his teachers without much hesitation) and it definitely helps us focus at work, knowing that he is in good hands. The regular updates on the app help us keep up with his day-to-day development and definitely helps with our fear of missing out on his milestones. I would highly recommend the nursery to any prospective parents.

Lovely place. My son developed a great relationship with his nursery nurse and the nursery has enabled him to really evolve his interactions with other children. I very much value my son' development at this nursery.

Our child loves going to the nursery every morning and seeing his friends and teachers. His mobility, interactions and daily walks around the Wharf have really helped his development. Additionally, the teachers ensure an almost daily update of our child's activities and behaviours. Finally, the daily healthy meal plan is brilliant (especially for working parents!). Would recommend right Horizons Bank Street Day Nursery and Preschool.

Very lucky for both of my sons to have their first teachers in Bright Horizons, Bank Street. Their key person is just brilliant and also the other staff are very kind and friendly. Managers and deputy managers are professional and well-organized. I am happy with the school's daily activities, schedule. The kids/babies learn a lot.

I have three children who currently attend the nursery, all starting at six months of age from March 2019 onwards. I am extremely happy with the levels of care and learning they get across all of the rooms, and I find the staff to be very kind and nurturing. The management team are incredibly responsive and supportive of anything I need for the children.

My son has been with the nursery for almost a year and he has made tremendous amounts of progress in every aspect. He was a bit slow to talk initially and the fact that we spoke a different language at home obviously didn't help, but since he's attended nursery, he started to speak both of the languages much better and more actively and has become properly bilingual. The staff made dedicated efforts to help kids with different language backgrounds, which we really appreciate. Every week we find that he's learned something new. The staff are always so cheerful, friendly and supportive and our son has developed really deep and trustful relationships with the team in his room (that he cries when he knows he will move to a new room as he grows). He also quite likes the food there. We are very happy with the nursery.

I am really happy with the nursery and the progress made by my child at the nursery. The staff are polite, professional and friendly. I can see that my son has developed a bond with his teachers and other children. He enjoys his time at the nursery as there are plenty of activities at the nursery. It's nice to see his daily updates on the app. It was an emotional journey for me when my son started his nursery, but I must say that the staff at Bright Horizons made all the effort to make it easy for us! I am very thankful to Bank Street Nursery staff. They are very caring and great professionals and helped my son to settle very quickly. My son has a strong personality and I was afraid that it might be difficult for him to settle into a new nursery, but he loves this nursery and asks me to bring him to nursery on weekends too! This never happened before.

The staff is genuinely close to the children, monitoring behaviors and giving guidance to parents. I love seeing my toddler learning fast too. The staff puts a lot of effort to enrich the schedule with activities and provide multiple occasions for children to interact with each other!

The nursery has education qualities, facilities and management at a high standard. My daughter has been with this nursery for nearly a year now and we are happy to see she is having good times with her class and the fast learning in speaking/communication and everyday motion skills.

Amazing experience for my child, who actually looks forward to going to this nursery. This is always one of the main things. Caring staff and great management. Lots of activities and a good overall environment.

Our experience at Bright Horizons, Bank Street has been excellent. The communication is regular and helpful. The staff are committed and provide our son with not only daily activities and development support, but also with a caring and comfortable environment. He has thrived during his time there.
