My son (16 months) has settled in quickly thanks to the manager and her amazing team. Very warm, welcoming and professional! He's only been at nursery for a few weeks but has already been on a trip to the library, spent time watching chicks and is exploring and playing in the nursery garden!! Thanks!

It's nice to know that my daughter is well taken care off. She is always happy to come in and likes to engage with their activities. At home she talks a lot about her days and friends.
Sometimes on weekends she even asks us to go to the nursery, which says it all.

We are very happy with the service provided at Putney Day Nursery. My child is very happy there. The changes made under the new management are amazing. The team are great with the children, three in particular as far as my own child is concerned.

My child attended Asquith for under a year and was in the preschool room.
Overall the care is good although there has been a lot of staff turnover in 6 months with my child having 3 different key workers in this short space of time. The outside space is very limited and when there is full attendance,
the rooms themselves are quite cramped. Saying that my little one made a lot of progress during her time spent at the nursery and was quite happy there. I would therefore recommend Asquith nursery.

My daughter loves Asquith Putney Pre-School and Day Nursery. She loves the staff and she enjoys the learning and play. The staff has always been very helpful working with our speech and language therapist, so helps my daughter develop her speech.
They have been very helpful in improving her confidence.
The combination of my daughter being happy to go to nursery and the care the staff shows makes this nursery perfect for us!

The real benchmark is my son's development which we are very pleased with.
Staff are so friendly and attentive. Food wise the variety is great.
Activities wise, again good variation and feedback aligned with how we see things at home.
Some disconnect on the handover sheets/not sure sometimes if info
makes it onto the sheet - accidents (none) when the bag is full of wet clothes.
Overall pleased and would recommend to others.

We have been at Asquith for about 18 months and have been happy with the nursery at each stage (baby, toddler and pre-school). Our only criticism would be the staff turnover rate, but thankfully each new key person has been great.

My son has been at nursery for some months and has become very confident and really enjoys the selection of activities the nursery offers, the little bit of language, the learning activities with crafts and dance and song. He never mentions the ICT but we can tell at home that he uses it and enjoys.
He also loves his teacher and the other staff. When I see him at nursery it feels quite a nurturing environment. This is great and gives me confidence. We get good reports on what has been happening during the day, which is a good ongoing narrative of his development.

It has proven to be a very good choice. The nursery had only just opened when my daughter joined. She loves it there. Her development has been more rapid as a result. She loves the French and Spanish classes and has made some great friends there. My second daughter has recently started there. She also
appears to be enjoying herself there as well.

I'm very pleased with the people who work at the nursery. They try their best to make the kids happy. Very little turnover of people working at the nursery, this is very good for the children. Parents are always welcome to ask information about their kids. Good teaching skills.

Our daughter, now nearly 18 months, has been attending the Putney Day Nursery for 6 months and we have no regrets in our choice of nursery. Choosing a nursery and leaving your child for the first time to return to work is daunting enough, but all of the staff made our daughter welcome and were incredibly
caring and understanding towards both her and myself as we embarked on the next chapter. Throughout her time at nursery our daughter has thrived and is engaged with all that is around her, she enjoys the range of activities they undertake every day and when we pick her up at the end of the day she doesn't want to leave, which I think is the ultimate recommendation of the whole team.

Hi, I am Rachel, the Nursery manager. I have worked at Putney Pre School and Day nursery for 7 years since we opened and I have been very fortunate to be a part of its wonderful growth and Journey. Starting off as the Baby room leader I have watched all the children graduate off to school, and welcome many siblings into the nursery!


I have worked with children for 12 years and hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare. I have worked in a vast range of childcare settings, including private and public nurseries, Montessori schools and holiday clubs, but do truly have a passion for the under 5’s, making sure that I can help provide the best start in life.
