Bright Horizons Putney Day Nursery and Preschool

Having to get back to work and finding a trustworthy, supportive and reliable nursery to look after my 3-month-old baby it was one of the frightening things I had to do but Bright Horizon Putney has been superb since day one. The nursery plays an important role in my son’s life, his development is beyond what we could ever hoped, he is well looked after, always happy to go to the nursery, he interacts with other people and children easily, and it’s the most important part of my son’s daily care since the beginning. His food is daily freshly cooked, ingredients nicely sourced, the staff are friendly and well trained for their job role, pictures of his daily activities are sent daily. In difficult times and situations I had all the support and counselling I needed from the manager to help my son’s development and wellbeing. I couldn’t be happier!

My daughter is still at Bright Horizons, and is at nursery (moving to Preschool in the Spring) and she is excited to go in every day. Like her brother, her language and social skills have developed rapidly; no doubt to the attentive and evidently very caring staff; all the Bright Horizons Putney team seem to be in their work for the vocation and love of the children - whilst on a personal level, they have been supportive and adaptive to my challenges as a single-father.

The nursery is excellently managed, nothing is too much for the manager or deputy manager - they go above and beyond! I couldn’t recommend this nursery more highly.

Our daughter absolutely loves attending Bright Horizons Putney Day Nursery and Preschool. From day one, the manager and her team have created an awe-inspiring setting for our daughter. Each day, the children have access to enriched, purposeful activities linked to topics, which cover all of the areas of learning. The manager has created a warm, happy and safe learning space and a buy-in from all staff. We really appreciated the recent parents evening session where staff members discussed our child's progress and with this next steps and a clear breakdown of developmental milestones. The app takes away any anxieties that we may have, as parents, as we are able to see what she has been doing throughout the day, has eaten and how she is feeling. Staff go above and beyond to continue communications at the start and end of the day and are always contactable. Our child is truly so happy at Bright Horizons and is getting a truly outstanding start in her educational journey; thank you so much.

The manager and her team are incredible. We were so nervous about our 10-month-old going to nursery but he soon started smiling as soon as we arrived at the front door. They offer a huge range of activities that potentially someone would not be able to do at home. Whenever we came into contact with the carers they were always so happy and motivated and gave us fabulous feedback and incredible detail on how our boy’s day had gone. The staff were a delight to do a handover with on evening pick-ups. Our son also barely had a cold (from teething) after so many people told us he’d be sick for months from nursery. I genuinely feel it’s because of the manager’s high standards and the incredible care delivered by her team that our now one-year-old is so chatty and walking! Thank you, thank you, thank you! (Prices for nurseries are generally very expensive in Putney, everything is included and the level of care makes it worth every penny, however it is pricey)

The thought and effort that goes into making sure each day is stimulating, educational and fun is astounding. Several of the activities clearly take a lot of thought and effort on the part of the nursery staff to prepare and put together. These are often seasonal or related to a 'book of the week'. This includes learning about different cultures and foods, and celebrating differences. The staff are friendly and our daughter has flourished in this environment. Our daughter frequently pretends to be her nursery teachers at home, or pretends to phone them on our flat intercom, and it is clear how comfortable and happy she is there. Having recently visited several nurseries due to sadly having to move away for work, we can see how much this environment is set apart from others. I would unreservedly recommend this nursery to others, and if we could take the teachers with us we would!

My daughter attended the nursery for 2 years, yesterday was her last day. The team are very professional and friendly, they always ensure families are informed about their children’s education nursery events. The garden is small but has everything to support children’s learning, there is a lovely herb grow area, the children spend most of the day outside. The nursery has been part of our family life the manager and deputy are attentive to every child’s need and family. We will miss the team thank you for all your love and caring for my daughter.

Saw a few nurseries around Putney and found this to be a good fit for my child as I was looking for a nursery to encourage social interaction in my child. We had a very good experience and care at the nursery. My child really enjoyed herself there, with so many activities appropriate for child development. The teachers and carers genuinely care for the children and are attentive to their needs. They give regular feedback and keep parents updated with the children. Highly recommended nursery in Putney!

Best nursery ever! Not one bad thing to say and the way my boy has developed here was beyond expectations. When I have more children then there will be no doubt on where I bring them. From the moment he entered he felt safe and we felt he was in the best hands. The entire team at the Putney branch goes above and beyond.

My son has been attending Bright Horizons, Putney since he was eight months old. The nursery was always really good at keeping us updated with his activities, the food he eats and his nap times etc. The transition from the baby class to the 2+ class was seamless. Everyone at the nursery is very invested in his development. I cannot praise them enough and the manager is great! Thank you, Putney, Bright Horizons.

The staff and management are absolutely great. Very attentive. Nothing is an issue for the manager and deputy manager. The cost is extremely high and I wonder why there is such a difference in price between Putney and for example, another Bright Horizons nursery. There should be consistency, especially when the service is the same. I know childcare cost is another forum for discussion, but it is extremely high, with new prices coming up in January, it will be tough to keep the job and letting my son go to the nursery. He is so happy there. Otherwise, I cannot be happier. My son is well looked after and is thriving. There are a lot of activities happening throughout the day and a great selection of food and toys. I love their curriculum. Facilities are a bit on the smaller side, with very little outdoor space, however, the reason why I've chosen Bright Horizons, Putney, was because I received such a thorough show around, the best in the area. They really explained everything in detail and they made you feel welcome.

Bright Horizons, Putney is great. Well-led and well-managed, with a great approach to the development and care of children. Staff are really caring and attentive and the environment is enriching, fun and clean and tidy. Food is high quality and varied. The ideal nursery, really!

My daughter has loved her time at Putney, Bright Horizons. The nursery staff helped her adjust quickly and she's learned so many new things since starting six months ago. The staff have been incredibly accommodating, during a period when she's been in a post-op cast and they always ensure she's comfortable and involved in all the activities her peers are doing. It's very reassuring to know she's in safe hands during the day and she always leaves with a smile on her face!

Our son loves it here. The staff at Bright Horizons, Putney are all very welcoming. We couldn't be happier with the level of care and support he has received throughout his time here. Will definitely recommend to other parents.

We love Bright Horizons, Putney. The staff are incredibly friendly and our child can't wait to go into nursery each day. We couldn't recommend it enough. The coffee mornings, every few months, give us a great insight into how things are going and the app is great for getting updates.

Great people, doing their very best for all the babies and toddlers. A very good manager, who really sets a high standard. Food is very varied and wholesome, and my kid enjoys. Compact space, but the team use it to the maximum.

We've had our child there for two years now and are always impressed with the care and attention of the staff. We've made loads of friends there with other parents and our child goes on playdates with nursery friends. Our child has also been coming home and surprising us with counting, letters and insights that we didn't expect! All in all, brilliant staff, great nursery. Our only gripe is that we don't get funding from the government for nursery hours, else we'd be there full time!

Just a quick impromptu note to say that on a daily basis I am impressed by the variety and brilliance of the activities that Putney Bright Horizons offers to the kids of all ages (I've got a 15-month-old in the baby room and a nearly 4-year-old in the preschool room) and the enthusiasm and care of the staff. Checking the photos and videos on the app is one of the highlights of my day! At home, my little one is thriving, and I feel my preschooler is nearly ready for school already even though he's got one more year at daycare. To the team at Bright Horizons Putney: You're doing an incredible job. Thank you all!

My little one goes to nursery happy and leaves in the evening with the biggest smile on her face. The team are tender and conscientious, and they take great care in engaging with children and in teaching them. Her social skills have significantly improved; she is a more engaging child, and I am so happy with her development. The staff are particularly careful with her severe allergies, and they are fantastic at communicating and sharing her day with us.
