We have had a really good experience with the Bickley Day Nursery and Preschool. Currently, our daughter attends but her older brother used to as well and you can tell what a lovely environment it is as the staff still make a fuss of him whenever they see him. You can tell the staff genuinely want to
see the children grow up happy and to prosper. The facilities are good but what makes me really happy with the nursery is the staff. They are caring, energetic, funny and enjoy the children. This isn't just from an adult perspective as my children feel the same way. I've recommended the nursery on numerous occasions to others because of this and many other factors.

The staff have looked after our daughter for 4 years. At each stage the care she has received was excellent. Currently, our daughter is in preschool where she is being developed and learns every day. She is encouraged and guided in her learning and it is always fun. The staff are outstanding.

We have been at Bright Horizons Bickley Day Nursery for nearly 7 years now and the team is like an extended part of our family. They not only take fantastic care of our little ones, they are also teaching them to be kind, fair and honest people, good friends and compassionate little human beings. The
kids have so much love and so many wonderful experiences every day. I will miss this place a lot when my youngest finally goes to school!

Both my sons attend Bickley Day Nursery and we are really happy with the quality of care provided to them at different ends of the childcare spectrum - baby room and pre-school rooms. My younger son has quickly learnt how we spoon and play independently in a creative and nurturing setting. While my
older son has improved his literacy and numeracy in a fun-filled room with a fantastic group of friends. I would highly recommend the nursery to other parents.

Bright Horizons, now where should I start? Strong on standard, kind of heart. Always a smile on a miserable morn, 7.30 and screaming for them is the norm. Yet still, the staff smile though the children just might, strain at the edges of those smiles so bright.
A pleasure and a joy for my daughter to
be there - the most comforting thing - the staff really do care. It's not just a job, but the toughest vocation, it takes strength and commitment, kindness and application.
How do you know all I've said is true? It's simple really, I'll tell the secret to you - at the end of the day, when she's covered in muck, when I go to collect her and first pick her up. The smile that she gives me or even her pout, tells me she loves it and leaves me no doubts.

Both of my sons have attended this nursery, my younger son is still there and has been since he was 9 months (now almost 3 years). He has thrived in his time there, building firm connections with all of the staff, not just his key worker and we have always been happy with the level of care he has there.
He also has food allergies and the nursery have always been brilliant at helping us to manage these, in addition to more recently supporting us with potty training. One very happy mummy.

Both of my sons come to this nursery. The eldest is in the preschool and my youngest has just started in the baby room.


The staff there are friendly, helpful and caring. I wasn’t willing to send my youngest to a closer nursery to my home when we moved. The recent induction for my youngest was as

stress-free as possible and his key person was amazing at settling him in as were the other staff in the room.


The facilities are also lovely with an outside space that children of all ages can enjoy.

My son has always been happy and felt safe at the nursery from a young age. Staff always friendly and management happy to help you. I felt my son has come on in leaps and bounds regarding numbers, shapes, speech and behaviour.
He's become very confident and come out of his shell. Premises always clean
and he has been happy with the food supplied. I really like the fact that you have sports for tots as it helps their development.

I am extremely happy with this nursery. My son took a little while to settle at 18 months old but his key worker was amazing. She genuinely cares for the children and has a lovely personality. My son recently moved up rooms and again he has a fantastic key worker. I find all the room staff great.
He loves nursery and sometimes doesn't want to leave to go home with me.


The outdoor garden space is really good. I also find it interesting how many activities he gets involved in each morning he is at nursery. He now attends four mornings. It certainly seems that he gets more variety than staying home with me.


The nursery administrative staff are great too. They are very helpful and accommodating when I have requested extra sessions.


A few years ago my daughter attended a different local nursery. I prefer the staff and environment at this nursery.

All the staff have been really great, ensuring that my little girl was looked after and cared for. She started of with a childminder but since putting her in nursery she has been a different child. You can see she really enjoys her time at nursery. The keyworker is included and takes a keen interest
in her development. They show great love and care.

Our experience has been only positive. Staff are caring and have a lot of common sense. Our daughter loves her time there and always looks forward to her day at nursery. As parents in full-time employment, we are particularly appreciative of the familiar and loving environment. Staff are also excellent

My son has been going to the nursery since he was 9 months old (Nov 22 months). During his time at the nursery I have watched my son flourish both in his learning and relationship building. He has developed close bonds with his carers which is a pleasure to see when I drop him off and pick him up. For
me as a parent one of the many worries is finding care for my child that was as safe and secure as him being in his own home and I believe that we have found that in the environment and care that the staff at Bright Horizons Bickley provide.

Both our children attend Bright Horizons nursery and really enjoy it. The carers and management give personal care and attention to the children. The children are stimulated with activities and participate in learning exercises that are relevant for that stage (e.g. learning phonics and recognising
letters in pre-school classes). We are impressed by how much the children are developing during their time at nursery. They recently celebrated the Hindu festival of Holi and the children got creative with colours to mark the start of Spring - an example of how the nursery involves diversity with play. Overall, we would highly recommend this nursery.

Hi, my name is Kirsty and I am the Nursery Manager of Bright Horizons Bickley.


I started my journey at Bickley Bright Horizons in 2013 as a Room leader, I slowly worked my way up until I became Nursery manager in 2017. Since becoming a Manager the role has given me the opportunity to use my knowledge and skills gained previously in supporting the staff teams and help to create an environment for the children to thrive in.


I took a short break career break in 2018 and 2020 to have my daughter and son.


My passion has always been to guide each child to reach their full potential and I feel blessed that I get to make an impact on their lives at the most important time of their development.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Hi my name is Yasmin and I am the Deputy at Bickley Day Nursery and Preschool.


I started working for Bright Horizons in 2021. I have over 17 years’ experience in Early Years and Montessori nurseries it has taught me the value of each individual as a unique being - full of potential and character. All they need is someone to support their growth, and my passion is to help them release their potential. I believe children should be given a chance, and by helping them to develop their skills and making learning fun for them they will want to learn more. I have also developed strong skills in supporting young children, and am genuinely passionate about providing the best child care and play experiences. I have a strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum, SEND, Makaton with knowledge of the Montessori and forest school curriculum and a good knowledge of relevant polices and legislation. I have worked with lots of different families and professionals along the way.


I consider myself as a hardworking and self-motivated individual who enjoys facing challenges and finding a professional way to deal with them.


Working in Childcare has been rewarding and with my bubbly and loving personality, I hope to bring energy and fun, along with interpersonal skills to the organisation.
