Brightsparks Day Nursery, Selsdon

My son has been there for three years and the staff have always gone above and beyond. He’s so happy and has made some great little buddies. In the beginning, it took him a little while to settle, but the staff were amazing and really helped him on his nursery journey. My son is always bringing home arts and crafts that he has made. They do Skillz, leaps and bounds and so many other activities. The staff always inform me of how my son has been through the day. We also receive a weekly newsletter. The staff are so caring, especially on those mornings when my little man is a little emotional, they will give him a cuddle letting me leave knowing that he will be well looked after. They have a weekend board so all the children can share their weekend adventures. We recently had graduation and sports day. All the staff went to great length to make it special for the kids and parents. I can’t recommend Brightsparks Selsdon enough. They all do a fantastic job. Thank you.

My daughter has just had her first week here and she loves it. I knew when I visited it was right, it has a lovely warmth to it. The staff are lovely and friendly. The nursery is clean, well equipped and with a nice garden too. Great communication in person and via email. The food selection is great even if you have dietary requirements. They do extra curriculum activities which is great for the children. Will recommend to others who want a caring and great nursery.

We are delighted with Brightsparks Day Nursery in Selsdon. Our son struggled to settle in his childcare setting towards the end of last year. We went to Brightsparks on a recommendation from friends and have been so impressed with the professional, caring and cheerful staff. He settled in really well and faster than we thought. Our son has various food allergies and we found that nursery had a menu at the ready and so for all the meals he has at nursery we don't need to worry. We also really like that activities, such as sing and sign and leaps and bounds, are included in the fees. This saves a whole lot of paperwork and additional payments and guarantees that children don't miss out. Our son is enjoying nursery and developing really well. I would thoroughly recommend the nursery and the kind staff.

When it was time for my daughter to start nursery I was absolutely terrified. I knew I wanted her to go to Brightsparks, I had a good feeling about it from the moment I walked in. When it came to it I was THAT MUM, in tears before I had even walked out, and questioning if going back to work was actually going to be an option. When I picked my daughter up I was given a collage of pictures of her smiling and having fun, they knew I needed that reassurance and it was so thoughtful. Fast forward 16 months and I am just so pleased that I found Brightsparks. The staff at every stage have been incredible, I love their honesty, sense of humour and how much they adore my daughter. The funny stories they tell me show me how much fun she is having and how comfortable she is. I know how happy she is there because she tells me. My advice for anyone looking at Brightsparks would be to go for it, having a place like this that my daughter enjoys so much means the world to me.

I would recommend this nursery to friends and family as my son attended and I have no problems with staff members or the nursery itself. The nursery is always looking well presented and the staff are so welcoming and caring.

A wonderful nursery, my daughter and son have attended here. The children are always happy, content and have lots of fun. My son and daughter have very fond memories of nursery. Would highly recommend, definately the best nursery in the area.

They are the nicest people we know and are always flexible to our constantly changing needs. As a fulltime nursery goes our daughter has learnt everything from the nursery and we take no credit. She is very social, vocal and smart among her peer group and all thanks to the nursery. There were tough times when we wanted to move to another nursery but thank god and glad that we didn't.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 13 months old, she’s now 21 months old. My daughter gets so much out of going to Bright Sparks, she’s happy, developing so well and has lots of fun every day. The team are great at organising lots of activities for the children keeping them busy, entertained and working on different skills throughout the day.

The children are given a great selection of healthy snacks and meals throughout the day and the Nursery has just introduced a new menu which my daughter is really enjoying.

As parents, we are kept well informed about her development and things going on at the Nursery.

I am very pleased with the nursery and would highly recommend it to friends and family.

Brightsparks is such a lovely nursery, my son is so happy there and has always loved going. Staff and really caring, friendly and approachable. There is always a wide range of activities going on and I feel there is a lot of thought put into keeping the children stimulated. They spend a good amount of time outdoors, even in the winter. Communication is great, there is a weekly newsletter so you always know what is going on. I highly recommend this nursery, its a really lovely environment for the little ones and all the staff really are fantastic.

Brightsparks is absolutely superb. The staff are extremely professional and have amazing interaction with the children. There is also great structure for the kids, with the perfect balance between learning and play. The food is great too. We never get any complaints! Our child loves it!!

My daughter has been at Brightsparks for nearly 3 years, starting in the baby room and moving up through all of the rooms to pre-school. She loves her time at nursery. Her language & social skills have really developed and she loves the activities planned for her and playing with her friends.

Most importantly, the staff are excellent; kind, caring and always willing to offer a cuddle. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Brightsparks to anyone looking for a nursery for their child.

Both my sons have attended this nursery since they were 11 months old. They have developed into confident, enthusiastic learners and keen to always do the right thing now at the ages of 3 and 4. It is my eldest sons last 4 months and he is very well prepared for school, with clear knowledge of phonics, numbers and has been encouraged to read at home using his phonic knowledge. All the staff, throughout each room, know all the children and are friendly and eager to ensure that all the children are happy and developing well through the EYFS (The Early Years Foundation Stage).

What a fabulous nursery. I am so glad we chose Brightsparks! My son started in September and he had just turned 1. I was full of worry and anxiety but with the wonderful care and consistency of all the staff, lead by a brilliant manager, both myself and my son soon settled into the warm and welcoming environment. My son is very happy to attend and is developing very well. Each week I notice he is achieving something different. The planning is always sent out to parents so I can see what he is learning/experience and be part of his early year's journey. Thank you all so much for your hard work, flexibility and professionalism. Well done!

I feel like every member of staff knows my child and thinks about his needs. The structure is good, my son is developing well in a kind and happy environment. The main staff turnover is low, the same people who looked after my older son are still there and caring for my youngest. I think that shows staff are generally happy and fulfilled in their roles, which leads to a more productive and calm business which in turn can only benefit the children.

My daughter has been attending since September 2016 and loves it. When I go to pick her up she always has a smile on face and as we walk home and she tells me what she has done throughout the day. If I ever have a question about her learning or what extra things I can do at home with her they have always help me. My daughter has a few allergies which the staff have been wonderful with I have never had any problems, which means I can send her in with peace of mind.

I am so grateful for all the work that all the staff do at Brightsparks. I reluctantly returned to work when my son was 5 months old and was very anxious about leaving him, particularly with his medical needs. The manager and nursery staff were incredibly sensitive to his needs, but also mine! I am forever grateful.

My son is very settled at nursery and I am entirely confident leaving him at Brightsparks each day. Communication is excellent and each child is cared for as an individual.
