Brightsparks Day Nursery, Selsdon

My son loves this place, the staff gave him all the love he needed to settle in and now he never even looks back for me. The staff are amazing, they just work around all his allergy and medical needs. The structure of the day and learning is great for little ones to thrive.

My son attended Brightsparks from 13 months to 3.5 years old, and we are so pleased with the care that he received while there. He was in every room at the nursery and we were fortunate to work with all the carers there. The atmosphere is very friendly, positive, and nurturing to the children. Full of cuddles and connection, all of the staff do everything from their hearts and while it is not the easiest role to have, their compassion and understanding of all the children they work with is absolutely phenomenal. I was happy knowing my son was well looked after. The app was very useful to know about his day as well and frequent conversations with the carers took place for deeper insight into my son's day. He always came home and had a lot to say about his day, how much he enjoyed the activities and his carers, as well as his friends. Having seen other nurseries and the quality of care for the children, I would highly recommend Bright Sparks Selsdon as one of the best in Croydon.

My daughter has been attending the nursery for 2.5 years now and she really does love it. Every time she moves up a class I worry she won’t settle or the staff won’t be as good with her. I need not worry, no matter who looks after her, she feels secure, understood and loved. Developmentally the nursery have been brilliant in supporting her growth and each week I am taken aback by how much she seems to have learned and matured. I feel completely comfortable focusing on work knowing that she is living her best life with her friends at nursery. Thank you to the team.

Such a wonderful and amazing nursery. My eldest has just graduated after 4 years here. The staff provided the best care, love and support, and preparation for reception. My youngest has just started and is already thriving as I knew they would. The staff feel like family and are always reassuring with each development stage and milestone. The app keeps you informed throughout the day alongside regular communications via newsletter. I have recommended this place to fellow parents as a first-class nursery and wouldn't hesitate to do so again to future parents.

Amazing nursery. Our daughter started in the baby room recently and she has settled in so well. She has so much fun with all the activities there, from singing nursery rhymes, painting and printing, and playing outdoors. She enjoys the nutritious meals very much as well. She has also learned so much at nursery. Her key worker and everyone at Brightsparks Day Nursery are fantastic, nurturing and caring. I can't recommend the nursery enough!

Amazing nursery, extremely well run, great communications, very professional and friendly staff. Our daughter is in the baby room and the key workers in there have been absolutely fantastic. She has so much fun every day and such varied activities. Great food and she enjoys that very much. They keep you updated via an app so you really do feel connected to their day

My son started at Brightsparks Day Nursery in March 2021 when he was 1 year old and the staff could not have been more supportive in helping him settle in post-COVID and as we all started to come out of lockdown. Since then, he's had brilliant key workers who have all helped develop his confidence and independence even further. He has developed a particularly firm bond with his key worker in his current room (Bright Stars), but I know he will continue to do well in the Pre-School Room (Super Stars). The staff are always coming up with lots of fun learning opportunities, and it's lovely to see what they get up to through the nursery app. The outdoor space is great, and meals are varied and nutritious. He also loves his weekly sing and sign sessions, which helped improve his communication and speech. I honestly can't recommend the nursery enough, it's a nurturing, caring setting, and all the staff and management work extremely hard.

Our son joined Brightsparks Day Nursery, Selsdon in September 2022 at the age of 18 months old. The staff are so friendly and approachable. They update us daily with information about what our son has eaten, what activities he is offered to do, photos of him and even update us on his nappies! He has really grown in confidence since joining and learnt so much. He has recently moved up to the next room and he appears to absolutely love it! They have a great outdoor space which he loves and they get outside whatever the weather which is good for our son. We are very grateful for the time and attention the staff give him and would highly recommend the nursery to prospective parents. Thank you, Brightsparks!

My daughter started Brigthsparks Nursery from February 2022 to present and they have been fantastic! They helped her settle, they have an app they update throughout the day so I can see photos of her and see what she is getting up to throughout the day. Manager and staff are approachable, friendly and want the best for you and your child. The children are stimulated with amazing educational resources inside and out. I would recommend this nursery to other parents.

Our son started at Brightsparks in August 2022 and we couldn't be happier. As well as settling in sessions for him, we were allowed to do a drop-in session so we could get a real sense of the day-to-day running of the nursery and get to know his key worker. Our son has come on in leaps and bounds since August in terms of his confidence and speech and he loves attending. Each day is well planned and all activities and photos are uploaded to the app so we can see what he has been learning. We have already recommended Brightsparks to other families in our area.

My daughter is nearly two and has been at Brightsparks Day Nursery, Selsdon since June last year. She seems to really enjoy being at nursery and learns new things every day. They have sing and sign sessions twice a week which she absolutely loves. The staff are all friendly and approachable and it has been a great experience so far. The parking facilities are a huge bonus!

My daughter went to this nursery 4 years ago and loved it. My son started here a year ago and to say that he loves the nursery is an understatement, he runs into nursery and tries to hide when it’s home time. The staff here are incredible and I honestly feel like they look after him like he is one of their own. I would recommend this nursery to anyone.

Brightsparks and the nursery team have been nothing but amazing with my baby. He started when he was six months and is just over a year now. Every member is so kind and caring and he absolutely loves going. He comes home with new skills so often! I feel so comfortable with him there and would not want to go anywhere else. Thank you all!

My daughter started in the toddler room at Brightsparks Day Nursery, Selsdon when we moved to the area, after spending one year at another nursery. I was worried about switching nurseries but the staff couldn’t have been more welcoming. Her settling sessions went well, staff are friendly, warm and caring. The activities are varied and well planned out. The nursery has a lovely garden area which has recently been renovated. Communication is excellent - from the nursery manager via email, calls from room staff (when required) and there is a parent online space where you receive updates and photos. I love to see the photos when I’m at work. We have now been with Brightsparks for one year and couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery.

My son started the nursery in April 2022 and I'm really pleased with the way he has settled in. All the staff have been polite and professional and I can see how my son is developing. I have no concerns with the care my son is receiving and I'm really happy with the variety of meals. I find the weekly emails from the nursery manager very informative and helpful.

We have had a wonderful experience with Brightsparks Day Nursery, Selsdon. After joining through a recommendation from a friend we couldn't be happier with our son's experience here. I was very apprehensive to put him in a nursery (18 months old) but the team not only reassured me but also developed a lovely relationship with my son, giving me the confidence that I needed as a mum. They have a very homely and welcoming atmosphere always catering to my son's dietary requirements and individual needs. My son is also T1 diabetic and they have been fantastic in learning to manage his condition. This is no easy feat and not many people can manage this as well as they have. Can't recommend this nursery enough, we will be sending our second child here too!

Brightsparks Day Nursery Selsdon have been amazing since day 1! After viewing many nurseries in preparation for going back to work, this nursery was by far the best. Our daughter has been attending since the age of 10 months and is now nearly 4. She is extremely happy at nursery and is always excited to tell us about her day. We are always greeted into a warm and welcoming environment. The care provided is exceptional and the staff are fantastic. Our 1 year old son has now started attending the nursery and although we knew he would find it difficult to settle, we are completely at ease as we know he is in good hands! My son attended Brightsparks in Selsdon from age 1 to 2 years old, until we had to move on due to moving to a new town. We were very sad about having to leave such a brilliant, engaging, welcoming family of staff and in that short year at Brightsparks, he learnt so much. Not just in terms of learning milestones, but in terms of being a kind and caring person, and that is down to the excellent staff at Brightsparks, Selsdon. We miss them lots and would recommend the nursery over and over! A great start to a little person's life.

I was quite anxious with my daughter settling into the baby room at 13 months old. But soon after her settling in period, a week or two later, my little one appeared to settle in well. Her key carer and the rest of the staff are fantastic, friendly and attentive and my little one really enjoys her time at nursery!
