Nuffy Bear Day Nursery, located in Cheam, provides a wonderful service to local families. The home from home nursery caters for children aged 3 months to 5 years and offers experienced and qualified staff dedicated to supporting your child’s learning & development. The nursery is uniquely qualified to teach your children to swim from the age of 3 and support your child being active.

The nursery benefits from enclosed outdoor garden, recent refurbishment and extension, free childcare (funding hours), swimming lessons for over 3s, ample parking and a free gym membership with every full time nursery place.

Its childcare professionals have a caring, well-informed attitude and work closely with parents to ensure children can develop in a safe and fun environment. Parents are supported by a friendly, flexible nursery, within which their children are able to grow their pre-school skills.

The nursery day can be split into sessions. The morning session runs from 8am to 1pm, the afternoon session from 1pm to 6pm and full day sessions are from 8am to 6pm. They offer an early drop of session 07:30 - 08:00 and a late pick up session 18:00 - 19:00.

We've had nothing short of a fantastic experience with Nuffy Bear since our daughter joined in Oct 2025. The level of care, kindness and empathy shown by the staff is outstanding. Our daughter attended another nursery prior to joining Nuffy Bear and the difference between the two is night and day. Our
daughter is currently in the Baby Room which is a clean, well presented and tidy space. The room never feels over stretched, has lovely natural light and genuinely seems like a really pleasant environment for the children to spend their time in. She is involved with many creative activities which the staff are tasked with thinking of on a daily basis and her development has come on leaps and bounds. The staff are exceptional and it's clear to see just how much they care for the children. Communication is always thorough, no request is ever too much and the staff are genuinely lovely people who are passionate about the nursery. Our daughter heads to nursery smiling.

My son has attended Nuffy nursery for 18 months and we are beyond pleased with the care he receives and the progress he has made.


For a long time he really struggled with drop-offs but the team were so kind, patient and creative with helping him through these transitions and he now willingly walks

in to nursery and is even excited to leave the house some mornings!


My son has made great relationships with the staff and his peers. The Nuffy team has supported my son with great kindness and patience through key milestones and we would (and have) made recommendations to other parents looking for childcare.


The daily activities are creative and thoughtful, following curriculum guidance. The team are professional and the management is excellent. I couldn't ask for better provision.

I can say with great ease that Nuffy Bears Cheam surpassed every expectation I had of nursery.


All the staff have shown me that they genuinely care for our child's well being and I am proud to say my daughter attended here.


The nursery years set up our daughter on her first pathway in life and

she is now flourishing at school as a result.

Our baby has been attending Nuffy Bear Day Nursery in Cheam since October after our friends recommended it. We are very pleased we chose it. Since day one, the manager and her team have been fantastic! They are very friendly, approachable and always communicate with us on how our daughter is getting
on. We get so many updates via the app on all of the lovely activities they have been doing, the skills she has been working on and her next steps. She has learnt so much already! The party in the baby room at Christmas was brilliant. Parents and family members were invited and it was lovely to see her so at home in the nursery setting! We highly recommend this nursery.

We have had an absolutely wonderful experience with Nuffy Bear Nursery. My daughter has been attending since she was just 9 months old, and she is now 2 years old, and I honestly couldn't be happier with the care and support she has received.


From the very beginning, the staff made us feel welcomed,

reassured, and confident that our child was in safe and loving hands. The team are incredibly caring, patient, and attentive, and they genuinely treat every child as an individual. It's clear that they are passionate about what they do, and that shows in how happy and settled my daughter is every day.


The nursery provides a warm, nurturing, and stimulating environment that has helped my daughter grow in confidence, independence, and development. I've seen such positive progress in her communication, social skills, and learning, and it's amazing to watch how much she enjoys going in each day.


Communication with parents is excellent, and I always feel informed.

Both of my children attend Nuffy Bear Cheam and I couldn't be happier. The staff are warm, welcoming, and truly care about the children. My eldest's key worker, is amazing - supportive, nurturing, and helps her thrive emotionally and educationally. My daughter is bright, confident, happy, and loves
going to nursery to see her friends and the staff.
The nursery offers a fantastic range of fun, educational activities, and I've seen real progress in both my girls. They also provide healthy, varied meals, which is so reassuring as a parent.
Communication is excellent - I'm kept up to date with daily updates through the Family app and regular verbal feedback. I always look forward to seeing the lovely photos and videos of their day.

I have been involved recently in picking up and dropping off my grandchild and I can't express how grateful I am to the nursery and the staff there. The way I see my grandson jump into their arms and look at them will always give me that reassurance. I have experienced a few other nurseries with other
children in the family and never have I experienced the way they do their events, there Mother's Day was amazing and I'm looking forward to seeing the Easter bonnet parade! And I always express how my grandson goes and supports the community by going and visit the people in independent living! Absolutely incredible, highly recommend!

I've only got positive feedback to give to Nuffy Bears. My daughter started attending in April 2024 and has been happy ever since. I cannot praise the staff enough, especially during those precious settling-in days.
All the staff are very attentive and provide lots of fun and stimulating activities
for the little ones. We get frequent updates on the activities and progress, which is very useful. My daughter loves attending the nursery, and I'm very happy with the care she's given.

Our son started at Nuffy Bear at the beginning of the summer after we moved areas, he had only been in the nursery for a few months before the move so it was a period of lots of change and upheaval for him and the nursery has given him the consistency he needed, whilst also providing a really happy,
stimulating environment. He looks forward to going each morning (barely looking back to say goodbye to us!) and comes home every night happy. All the staff seem to genuinely care for the children, the updates are plentiful and his development has come on leaps and bounds since he started. We couldn't be happier.

Our daughter started in March '24 when she was 8 months old. We now have to move house and are gutted that she needs to leave Nuffys!
The staff and setting here are amazing. Key factors for us:
1.   Convenient location to train as well as having priority drop-off spaces outside the front door.
2.   The
staff are so flexible with all of our concerns. They truly care and treat the children with so much love and affection.
3.   It has a 'home away from home' environment with large spaces and big windows looking out onto a large green space.
4.   The room sizes are small. Something that put us off other nurseries where there were a lot of kids. They all get a lot of attention.
5.   The activities are never-ending with lots of outdoor time, water, paint, and sand play as well as guests who do group activities in the studio upstairs.
6.   Our daughter eats proper meals here. Something I am struggling to get her to do at home.
Cannot recommend it enough. My daughter jumps out of my arms in the morning.

My son spent over 3 years attending Nuffy Bears in Cheam. He started as a 9-month-old and is now leaving as a happy four-year-old, fully equipped and ready to start school. I cannot thank the staff at Nuffy Bears enough for all their support and care over the last 3 and a bit years. My child required
special attention in his early years for medical issues relating to feeding, which meant he needed one-to-one attention during feeding. Nuffy Bears provided this without hesitation and his key worker provided me with detailed feedback which put my mind at ease. This was so important to me, especially during the baby and early toddler phase. The nursery benefits from having a fully engaged and excellent manager who runs the nursery well. The tasks that the children do are interesting and varied.

My child started at Nuffy Bear Cheam in July 2024 and 2 months in, he has completely settled in. Going into the nursery door every morning with big smiles. The workers are tentative and loving. Nothing is ever a big problem. They helped him transition so smoothly and we get photos and updates throughout

My daughter spent 1.5 years in Nuffy Bear, and she loves her nursery very much! The nursery has a good number of staff who are young and energetic, they play with kids, have read with them and take good care of them. My daughter was not toilet trained at the beginning, nursery staff will change her
nappy every day. Every week they have different themes to learn about, the activities and nursery setting will change according to the theme of that week. They use Nuffield Health's large football field as their garden so kids have a huge outside space to play. They offer a free swimming lesson for all nursery kids every week, using the on-site indoor swimming pool. Considering the quality of care, facilities and activities they offer, the nursery fee I believe is very reasonable, cheaper than some other private nurseries, and they don't charge any registration fee. They have free parking on site. They update the app frequently with news and photos. Thank you to all the staff in Nuffy Bear!

My son started at Nuffy Bear Nursery in Cheam a year and a half ago and now he is leaving to go to school. We are so sad for him to be leaving as he had such a great time there. He has been to a different nursery and a childminder before and this childcare setting was by far his (and our favourite).
The staff all seem to really enjoy being there and all get on well together and this translates into how they care for the children.
The children have so many opportunities at this nursery from swimming lessons every week to one-off trips to Chessington. It really has been a brilliant experience from start to finish. They are lucky to have use of the studios in the gym and they have a huge field out the back on which to play.
I can't recommend it highly enough.

My son started with Nuffy Bear full-time when he was nine months old. He has loved his time at nursery. The staff are caring and polite and do lots of fun activities with kids.
They have a huge outdoor space and kids are encouraged to make maximum use of this. Most of the activities are educational
and focus on key learnings. They also take preschool kids around the village to the train station, library etc. This has often been the highlight of my son's day.
He has made good friends and loves going to nursery. Their app is user-friendly and it is updated regularly so I am aware of his food, nap times, play time etc.

Nursery staff always giving feedback of child progression. Also point out if something still needs to be looked at (speech, walk, ...). They always do fun exercises. Both physical and mental. They do quite a lot of educational skills with the kids. I also receive live feeds about my child's daily routine
(Food, sleep time, nappy changes, ...). They share pictures of their day. They plan a lot ahead as well which makes it easier for me to plan if she needs to bring anything in. My daughter was scared to go in first but now she walks in without looking back. I love the fact that even she has a key person, all other nursery staff know what is going on with her and she is comfortable with all members of staff.

Our son absolutely loves his time at nursery. He currently does afternoons at NuffyBear Cheam and sprints inside to play once the door opens.
We are particularly impressed with the variety of themed weeks they provide. We really appreciate the effort Nuffy staff put into keeping his learning fun and
engaging. All of the staff are so enthusiastic, encouraging and caring. Our son really benefits from this.
The app keeps us updated with his daily progress. It is such a useful tool for communication with management/staff who always respond promptly.

The nursery manager and the deputy are not professional in their approach to caring for children I believe. They failed to appropriately care for my grandchild. They failed to give accounts for injuries he suffered and were very defensive with excuses. The deputy was verbally abusive to my grandson’s
mom on a number of occasions. I had to tell her to speak to my daughter properly. I felt that because my daughter was a young mom, they felt they could disrespect and disregard her concerns.
The other staff were really good, in particular a young male worker who was super caring with my grandson. The nursery often had staff shortage and would call and say your child can’t come to nursery because we don’t have the staff. From a safeguarding point, I do not recommend this nursery.
