Nuffy Bear Day Nursery, located in Surbiton, offers first class, flexible care for children aged three months to five years.

The experienced team of childcare professionals have a warm, caring attitude and work closely with parents to ensure all their children’s learning needs are met whilst maintaining a safe and secure environment.

The friendly and secure nursery offers spacious rooms within which the children are able to develop their pre-school skills through a wide range of educational resources and a variety of stimulating and creative activities.

Nuffy Bear in Surbiton offers a variety of extra-curricular activities alongside the nursery day, including: swimming for children aged over three years, Spanish, ballet, ‘Click it’, gymnastics, and Jo Jingles.

We have been extremely happy with this nursery and all the lovely and caring staff. Our son has been in the nursery for about a year and he has developed so much. We used to have quite big problems with his eating but the nursery has really helped us with this and it improved a lot. His communication
skills also developed very well thanks to them. The staff are really warm, friendly and with an attention to detail for each child. We are moving house and will be very sad to leave them. Thank you.

My children attended Nuffy Bear Nursery throughout the lockdown. I was really impressed with the high standard of care received throughout. The staff were all very attentive to the children, they engaged well, and it was clear through the feedback I got from the children daily, that the staff had spent
a lot of time interacting with them. I never had any concerns leaving my children. The daily feedback to parents was excellent, and the management team were all outstanding. I would highly recommend this nursery to any prospective parent.

The Nuffy Bear Day Nursery Surbiton team cared for both our 4-year old for a year, as well as our 6-month old twins for about 4 months, before us moving to North London for work. The nursery space is beautiful and very clean, with the additional bonus of a small playground/garden where the children
were able to get fresh air on a daily basis. The staff are experienced, hard-working, pleasant and organised. We had no problems at all and all three children were happy overall. The team was also quick to implement new guidelines and precautions with the COVID19 pandemic. We would highly recommend.

My daughter started Nuffy when she was 15 months old and has just finished to start school. We have been extremely pleased with the care she received during this time. The team was very attentive to her needs and were great at building her confidence, working on her development, and also making sure
she had lots of fun.
She had a lovely bond with the team who cared for her, especially one of the deputy managers who we heard so much about at home.
She is already missing nursery though has walked away with some wonderful memories and a great start before school. I would not hesitate to recommend it.

My daughter attended Nuffy Bear Nursery during lockdown and after. It was one of only very few nurseries that opted to stay open for key worker children during an uncertain time, for which we will be very grateful for. From the moment my daughter started, she absolutely loved it. The staff were caring,
understanding and attentive to all the needs of the children. The facilities are great and the food was excellent.
The management team were reliable and fantastic. They went the extra mile to accommodate our working needs during this time, even staying open an extra day so that my husband and I could be at work during Covid-19. Even after the lockdown ended, we kept our daughter on as she liked going so much! Thank you for helping us during this time, we would definitely recommend this nursery.

Thank you to the wonderful staff at Nuffy Bear for the brilliant care and attention for my little girl who has been at Nuffy's since she was 10 months, and is now leaving as we are relocating.
My daughter has shown leaps and bounds in her vocab, physical development and interactions with others.
She has been well fed by the in house chef, and her key workers have provided lovely feedback in line with nursery guidelines as to her development.
The nursery is a bit like an extended family and led by a wonderful manager and deputy managers so that my daughter's needs have been met.
To have done all this with COVID precautions, bubbles and safeguarding to a new level is a true feat.

My daughter has just left Nuffy Bear to start school and has attended since she was 9 months old. Her older brother attended Nuffy Bear too and we couldn't recommend it highly enough. My children left Nuffy Bear with such brilliant memories, wonderful confidence in their ability to play and learn, have
fun and make friends. Upon leaving Nuffy Bear they were both absolutely ready to start school with confidence and all credit to the brilliant team who cared for them here.

Our child attended full time from 10 months until he has recently left to go to school. They loved their time at the nursery and have formed a close bond with all the staff. Their activities have been varied and as parents, we have loved that they take them out into the local area (pre-Covid) and they
got swimming lessons once they turned 3.
Parent feedback has been well received and listened to from the management team and each of the staff have made an effort to know the kids personally, even if they are not staff in the kids room/their key workers.
Would recommend this as a happy and safe environment for kids.

Amazing nursery. They are committed to getting the best out of your child. All staff take so much care to make sure your child is happy, learning and thriving. I literally can not recommend this nursery more. Our twins LOVE going in and always come home telling us about all the interesting things they
have done - from making things to painting and dancing. The manager is exceptional, as are her staff (deputy and Key-worker!). Staff are always willing to talk about our children’s development and know everything about them. This is the place to send your kids.

My son has been at Nuffy Bear since he was 1.5 years old, he’s just left to start preschool at a school, and he was so sad to leave and constantly goes on about how he wants to stay in his class! Our son started with Nuffy Bear when he was seven months old and has now been there just over a year. We couldn't be happier with the staff and the nursery and they've been really supportive and helpful with getting him into a good routine, weaning, walking, talking and just generally getting him used
to socialising with other children. He gets to do a wide variety of activities and whenever we have said there is something he is particularly interested in they have made sure to encourage him to do it while he is there. We are leaving due to a house move and it really is a massive shame that he can't stay with Nuffy Bear once we go. We would very much recommend this nursery!

Our daughter has sadly just left Nuffy Bear to attend a preschool closer to home. She was extremely sad to leave and still keeps asking about it. She had a wonderful couple of years there and really blossomed. The staff were always friendly and professional and I loved the daily update when I collected
her about what she had been up to each day. Wonderful facilities with excellent food and a nice outdoor space. Would not hesitate to recommend to others looking for a nursery in the Surbiton area.

Our twin girls started attending Nuffy Bear when we moved to Surbiton in 2019 and they were 2 and a half years old. The staff could not have been more helpful in settling them in, offering plenty of sessions and giving me feedback. They made a real effort to make sure I was comfortable too, as them
attending nursery was a huge step for us too.
Within a few weeks of starting, we noticed a real change in them. We speak Spanish at home, and they soon started speaking in English, counting, identifying colours etc. Their social skills have also improved massively, and staff are encouraging them to make friends with their peers. They both now eat everything and are becoming more adventurous with food, which is great - credit to the cook for being such a good cook. They also love their teachers and often ask after one of them if she’s on holiday.
They each have a key person and get treated as individuals, which is so important for us. We are really glad we chose Nuffy Bear for our family.

My son started at Nuffy Bear Surbiton in August this year at 18 months and is having a wonderful time. The nursery staff have always been kind, patient and supportive as my little one settled in and gets used to a nursery routine. We often collect our son a little early and whenever we arrive the kids
are happy in their play area with the staff and each other. When my son bumped his head (he runs, everywhere) the staff were attentive and he was very happy to be cuddled and reassured.
Security processes are excellent and the staff are great at thoroughly checking the person collecting my son have the right permissions and passwords (and checking in with me too)
I would definitely recommend the nursery and the fantastic team.

We have been very happy with Nuffy Bears. Our daughter has been attending full-time for 2 years and has really enjoyed it and blossomed at the nursery. The staff are all lovely, very professional, friendly and genuinely caring.
We are impressed by the activities on offer. Each child is offered a free-swimming
class from 3 years old, a weekly group yoga class and there are plenty of optional activities to choose as well such as Jo Jingles and ballet.
Our daughter has learnt so much through play and encouragement from the teachers. The environment is nurturing, warm and caring and the teachers provide emotional support to the children's personal development.
Sadly our time at Nuffy Bears is coming to an end soon as we are leaving for school but I would highly recommend this nursery and would like to thank the manager and all the teachers in Busy Bees for caring for our daughter these past two years. We will miss you and be back to visit!

Our child has been going to Nuffy Bear since they were a baby and we have been happy with the nursery. There are some absolutely wonderful staff who really love the children and make them feel special. The facilities are nice and spacious, light and clean. The outside space could be bigger but it is
well equipped and the children always seem to be having a great time there. The nursery puts a lot of emphasis on health and wellbeing, so activities including swimming and yoga are included, which is great. The food is healthy and varied and seems to go down well with the children. We've had good written records of our child's progress through the nursery and how they match up to EYFS targets. Our child has been encouraged and stimulated to learn both academically, socially and emotionally and is leaving nursery well equipped for school. Most importantly, she seems genuinely sad to be going.

Nuffy Bear is a very friendly and loving nursery. We've had two children attend over the last 4 and a half years and during that time we've seen how their changing emotional and developmental needs have been met. The nursery staff know all the children very well. They give plenty of cuddles but also
encourage the development of skills like self-feeding, getting dressed, using the toilet, washing hands, and helping to tidy up. The fact the nursery is in a gym means that the over threes have swimming and yoga lessons included in the fees. This is great, and I am quite often made to try out their newly learnt yoga skills at home! Other activities like ballet and music are also offered. There is plenty of time spent outside in the garden and there are also frequent trips to the local park. Our son found the transition to school easy thanks to the great start he had here and I'm sure our daughter will do too – we’re just sad that the end of our time here is fast approaching.

I feel I receive wonderful feedback about my child and when attending parents evening I feel the staff know my child and know what they want and setting reasonable goals for her development. I also enjoy having a parent forum so the parents' opinions are involved and shared. They have monthly newsletters
on the changes within the nursery and any events they are having. I feel welcomed when coming in and able to speak to the manager when wanted.
