Little Green Rascals Day Nursery Elvington

We love the nursery and our son is having the best time and learning lots. So many different activities and outdoor opportunity. Warmly recommend.

Really happy with the support and care my son receives on a daily basis. The staff are always so positive and always smiling. The activities and facilities are fab and the value for money is excellent.

She now runs into nursery, is full of stories about her adventures and has increased in confidence so much! This is just the beginning of her journey and we are very excited as to what the future holds!

The staff show a genuine care for my child, they are warm and welcoming. I am happy to leave my child with them knowing she is safe and in a homely and friendly environment. The access to outdoors is amazing and my child spends so much time in the garden. When I pick up she is well fed, happy and normally exhausted from running around so much!

Having viewed several local nurseries, I feel that Little Green Rascals by far provides the best care and opportunities for children to personally develop. My son loves it!

This nursery is fantastic. My daughter has been attending for the last 10 months and the nursery welcomed her with opened arms. I leave going to work feeling confident that she’s having a great time and in safe hands! The nursery update me on a daily basis with photos of various fun activities and a user-friendly app, where I can see her food diary, naps etc! (Yummy organic food indeed!). I see these updates and know she’s having a great time with her nursery buddies and staff. The staff are ever so friendly and are very personable with my daughter. I would highly recommend this nursery!

The level of care my son receives us second to none. The different activities and opportunities the nursery provide are excellent - forest school, the maize, theatre trips, outdoor facilities etc.

My son loves it here and has great relationships with staff and other rascals alike.

Little Green Rascals provides an incredible nursery care provision to children, and I feel fortunate to have both my children experience what this nursery offers. The daily sessions are engaging and stimulating for the children and the whole ethos of the nursery provides a great environment led by all the staff. The outside space and activities are simply best in class, the food served is outstanding and the nursery communication is exceptional.

The warmth from the colleagues really makes the setting feel like home from home, and you really do feel part of a family.

We absolutely love Little Green Rascals in Elvington. Our child has settled so well and quickly. The team makes sure she is always well looked after, and she has come on leaps and bounds in such a short space of time. The instant updates via the Famly app are really useful - allows us to instantly see what she has had for lunch, how much sleep etc.

The staff are amazing, the food is phenomenal, the daily activities are varied and the care is second to none. We can't say enough good things about the nursery!

Elvington Little Green Rascals is an amazing nursery. Our two daughters are in Pre-school and Cheeky Hens and have an amazing time. The range of activities is extensive, and the Forest School and outside space are both favourites of my two. The meals offered are varied and nutritious. Importantly, the nursery has a good balance of male/female staff, which the children love. I wish I could spend my days here!

I personally wish the nursery would focus less on ‘add-ons’ such as yoga or sports, and more on making my child happy and settled in a warm and nurturing environment.

Children are very happy here and it makes going to work each day a lot easier. Great outdoor space and lots of trips to other places too.

We’ve had a fantastic experience with the nursery and I can not recommend it highly enough. Our son was very shy, to begin with, but is now thriving and enjoying himself with close relationships with the team and his key person. The team have been very patient with us and our son in settling in and always give lots of feedback when we go to collect him.

We love the app and way in which we receive updates in real time about our son and also the fact we can contact the room at any time.

My son has been at the nursery for about 2 years now and I've been impressed with it from the start. The outdoor space is what - among other things - attracted us first to the nursery and it has proved to be excellent; the kids are outside as much as possible! Since joining the pre-school room my son's been attending forest school as well which he has loved! The warmth from staff is a constant across all three rooms that my son's been in. My son's current key-worker is particularly excellent - she is able to pick up on the subtlest signals that he needs a bit of a cuddle and that's extremely reassuring for me. There is great care and attention paid to providing a wide variety of activities and stimulus to the kids and letting them pick what they want to do. The food is amazing, my son eats all sorts at pre-school that he wouldn't contemplate at home! This is not the nursery that's the most convenient for us but I haven't once regretted choosing to send my son there.

I now have 2 children attending Little Green Rascals and continue to be extremely satisfied that they are offering the best possible nursery provision available. My eldest daughter started 3.5 years ago and whilst always excellent, throughout that period I've seen the nursery continue to evolve and improve. The recent transition to online system for daily updates and news, has really helped me with the transition of my second daughter to nursery as I've felt very connected to her and loved seeing real time photos of her day, and given me even greater insight into the vast array of activities that are on offer to children throughout their day, as well as making it even easier to keep in touch with Staff and management.

A close relative has recently suffered from an aggressive form of cancer which led to an operation leaving her with life-changing disabilities. This had a huge impact on my daughter which caused anxiety and fear around the family member which also extended to people being sick and hospitals. Her key worker and management took the time to schedule a meeting so we could gain an understanding of how to support her in re-establishing a relationship with the family member. The output of the meeting was new books bought for the room with a focus on relevant topics and subtle support through storytelling and drawing! I felt so supported and also impressed with both members of staff involved! Thank you.

My daughter enjoys attending. Everyone is always very friendly and approachable on arrival and leaving. The outdoor area/maze/forest school are a bonus to us!
