Little Green Rascals Day Nursery Elvington

A close relative has recently suffered from an aggressive form of cancer which led to an operation leaving her with life-changing disabilities. This had a huge impact on my daughter which caused anxiety and fear around the family member which also extended to people being sick and hospitals. Her key worker and management took the time to schedule a meeting so we could gain an understanding of how to support her in re-establishing a relationship with the family member. The output of the meeting was new books bought for the room with a focus on relevant topics and subtle support through storytelling and drawing! I felt so supported and also impressed with both members of staff involved! Thank you.

My daughter enjoys attending. Everyone is always very friendly and approachable on arrival and leaving. The outdoor area/maze/forest school are a bonus to us!

My daughter has been going to Little Green Rascals for nearly 2 years and we love everything about it, can’t recommend it enough.

This is a great nursery. Communication with parents is excellent. There are a range of stimulating activities planned each day and lots of time spent outside in the fresh air. All the staff are lovely and seem to be happy to be at work. Staff turnover is very low. The food is amazing. The only downsides are the carpark, which is sometimes hard to find a space in at busy times. The daily rates of the nursery are also pretty expensive, although I think they are comparable to other nurseries in the area.

We have been so impressed by Little Green Rascals, our son joined the Wiggly Worms room back in August 2016 and has just graduated to Dancing Dragonflies this spring. The whole team have been fantastic; really enthusiastic, caring and encouraging with the little ones, professional and friendly towards us bigger ones. A special thank you to his key worker, who I'm sure is destined for big things. It always makes a painful drop-off and goodbye so much easier, knowing the quality of the day he's going to have, huge thanks to everyone there.

My second child has followed on from his brother and attends this nursery. He has had a milk allergy and asthma and suffers badly with eczema. The care he has been given has been fantastic. The staff have bent over backwards to maintain his skin and inhaler regimes, and the care given to food allergies is consistent and reliable. Knowing how well he is looked after is a huge reassurance. I would highly recommend this nursery - the staff are a huge asset and deserve a huge amount of praise.

Excellent setting, loving, caring and experienced staff. One member, in particular, is fantastic, can't recommend her enough. This is my second child at nursery and I have been extremely happy with their care for my children teaching confidence, kindness, independence and love.

What a fantastic place! My son loves the fantastic resources, the spacious rooms but most of all the helpful, endlessly positive, kind and fabulous staff.

Our son has attended this day nursery since he was 9 months old, he is now 3 1/2 yrs and always thoroughly enjoys his time here. There's always a good variety of activities to keep him occupied and stimulated. There's a big emphasis on the outdoors and encouraging children in nature activities and our son loves the forest school trips. We've always found the staff to be incredibly caring and patient and always very supportive in the various stages of our son's development. An excellent childcare environment!

Generally, the nursery is very good indeed and the staff couldn't be more helpful/lovely. Hopefully, with the couple of errors made with our little boy, lessons have been learnt to avoid these happening again in the future. Regarding allergies, the food has been amazing as lunch and tea has been enjoyed thoroughly!

My son has been coming to Little Green Rascals for 3 years and absolutely loves it. The children are well looked after, loads of activities for them to do and the food is lovely! Would thoroughly recommend to others!

The team at Little Green Rascals Organic Day Nursery are absolutely fantastic. They show so much care and energy and are devoted to making everyday fun, educational and safe. The setting is fantastic and I love that there is so much space indoors and outdoors and that the children have access to animals both on and offsite. The food is all organic. The four-week rolling menu looks delicious and balanced and my daughter eats very well! We travel out of our way to come here - that should say it all.

He receives warmth, kindness and happy engagement from every member of staff and his key/shadow key workers are both fantastic - they've taken the time to get to know my son's needs and I have every confidence that he's brilliantly looked after in their care.

Our daughter started in 'Wiggly Worms' in September and we have nothing but praise for the staff. They made us all feel extremely comfortable with how our baby would be looked after and made sure that we felt we would ask any questions about her care. During the first few weeks, phone calls to check how she was getting on were welcomed and we were reassured kindly on all occasions. As a result, our daughter settled beautifully and loves going to nursery and all of the staff! Thank you!

Perfect nursery for my little girl, she enjoys going and always happy to wave mummy off in the morning. Her key worker is amazing. They have a good food menu and lots of different food to try. She is taken for outside play and her key worker takes on board my comments of what my little girl enjoys. They give her hugs when needed and explain to her what is right and wrong. I know my little girl is being taken care of and in good hands.

My daughter loves going to the nursery. There's always lots of activities to keep her occupied and help her development. She has a great bond with her key person. It is a great help to us knowing that she is happy and well cared for while we're at work. She also eats really well at nursery, the menu is healthy and varied and she really enjoys her meals.

My son really enjoys this nursery, he has a named key worker with whom he has an excellent relationship and is always excited to go there. I have no concerns and can relax knowing he is well cared for and loved.

Little Green Rascals has been an amazing nursery for my two children. I cannot fault the organic ethos, the food, the activities, the outside space, the beautiful indoor space and general things like communications, however, the staff themselves top all of that put together. They genuinely care for my children and cherish them and they have made nursery into a wonderful, safe and exciting place for them both to be. We will all be very sad when the time comes to leave!
