Leaving your child with new people is always daunting and from the moment we had a tour round the nursery, we knew that Old School House was a welcoming, supportive and engaging environment. Our twins started at 13 months and their confidence, communication and happiness has gone from strength to strength.


Seeing them thrive in an environment when you are not there, is incredibly important and seeing them run in with such joy is an absolute pleasure. A testament to the support, relationships and learning they receive at the nursery.


Every member of staff is always on hand to answer any questions a parent has, keeping us up to date on all the fun things they get up to, the skills they are developing and other updates related to their care.

We have worked alongside Old School House since 2021 with both our children, the second is due to leave this July. Every day, we have left them with Zoe, Karen, Jess and the team, knowing that they will be loved and cared for incredibly. Their passion for Early Years and children's development is clear
to see from the second you walk through the door. You are always welcomed with a smile and compassion, safe in the knowledge that your children will be treated in the same way. The outdoor area was updated last year, extending the curriculum beyond the walls too! Children are often taken on walks to the Park or other local places, which is no mean feat! I'm proud to say that my children attend here and it will feel like a genuine family separation when they are both at school in September!

From day 1 the nursery provides thorough updates and handovers via the app and in person. My child loves going to nursery and enjoys constant activities provided throughout the day. The staff are friendly, nurturing and approachable and honestly can't fault any of them.

After looking at other settings for our daughter me and my husband fell in love with the homely feel the nature trail has, you can feel the love and care every member of staff has for each child!
My daughter has been for over 12 months now and we have never had any issues or concerns. We were initially
concerned when they were taken over by Partou however we have noticed some much needed upgrades which just adds to a safer and better environment for all the children.
Some areas could still do with upgrades but I understand this is a funding issue hence we will always try to help out with donations with pre loved toys/ raffle days

Our experience of Heskin nature trail has been super positive. The staff are warm and friendly, the manager Chloe walked us through the process which was appreciated as we were complete novices! Our daughter really enjoys the setting and quickly settled. We liked the fact that this nursery has outdoor
space an is surrounded by trees and greenery. It's a peaceful area.
We also like the updates that we receive which gives great comfort during the day.

Absolutely amazing staff at parbold nursery! Always so kind towards my daughter Bella who has the best days with them. Her confidence and learning has been brilliant and I know this is from the hard working staff.
She is very settled with all staff not just those in her room .

Old School house has been amazing for my child. When he first came to the nursery he couldn't speak, within a month he was putting sentences together. Within a year he was more advanced than I thought he could be at the age of 2. Everyone at the nursery has learnt about him and care for him the way
I would at home. The teachers there are amazing with my boy, they take the time to understand what he needs on a daily basis and ALWAYS give me feedback everyday. I couldnt recommend a better nursery to send your child to!

All of the nursery team cannot do enough for my child. In almost 3 years of attending, my child has never once said they didn't want to go to nursery, and I don't have to worry about whether he's safe or having fun.
My child is thriving and gets to learn about and do things and eat new foods they
won't normally do at home.
My child starts school in 6 months and I'm not worried. Nursery has set them up with good socialising skills, assisted with potty training, basic numeracy and literacy skills, and excellent gross and fine motor skills.
Although the outside space is limited, the location is great meaning they do regular trips to different parks and into town.
I will always be thankful to the staff and this nursery.

We've had a wonderful experience with this nursery. My daughter settled in so quickly, which was such a relief as a parent, and I never worry leaving her in their care. It didn't take her long at all to feel comfortable and happy, and it's clear that the staff really take the time to get to know each
child individually. They know my daughter so well, which gives me a lot of confidence that she's in great hands.The staff are always friendly, helpful and approachable. They make a real effort to get to know you on a personal level and have a laugh with you, which makes the whole experience feel very welcoming and supportive. I love receiving the photo updates on the app -it's so nice to see what she's been up to - as well as general information about her day.
The little touches, like the crafts and small gifts the children make, are such a lovely bonus and something we really treasure at home.
Most importantly, my daughter is always happy to be there, which says everything!

We have been really impressed with how well Ralph has settled in to his nursery room. He adores Anette and the food. We enjoy updates when we receive them but I have mentioned to Liz that some days we don't get any pictures/updates so this could be improved as this is the highlight of our days. The
nursery environment is always pleasant and clean. We are looking forward to more updates and Ralph's learning journey.

We love Nature Trail Heskin! The staff are absolutely brilliant and would 100% recommend. Our Children LOVE the staff and develop a wonderful bond with them. Child 1 attended 2020-2025 and child 2 started in 2025, with both children absolutely loving their time spent at Nursery.
Outdoor activities were
a priority for us when choosing which nursery to attend, and Nature Trail Heskin does it all, from daily outdoor play to regular walks and park trips.
Both Children have excelled since attending, and I would recommend this Nursery to anybody.

My little boy started with Nature Trail Heskin when he was about 11months old. He had a difficult few weeks acclimatising, but the staff worked with us to help put him at ease. Fast forward a few months and now he loves it! When I collect him, he's happy to carry on playing which is a sure sign hes
thriving in the social environment in nursery.
We love the updates and pictures we get in the app, it helps paint a picture of what hes been up to and helps put your mind at ease.

Our little boy has been attending Nature on the Hill for nearly a year now, and he absolutely loves it. All of the staff are very friendly, approachable, and always go above and beyond to make sure the he is happy and cared for during his days at nursery.


One thing we really appreciate is how often

they update the parent app. When I'm at work it's lovely to see what he's been up to during the day. They regularly upload photos, usually once or twice a day, which is very reassuring and shows just how much fun he is is having.


It's clear that he is not only enjoying themselves but also learning lots of different skills through a great mix of activities and play. We're really happy with the care and environment they provide and would highly recommend the nursery to other parents.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was 12 months old. We have taken time away from the nursery due to work commitments and always been welcomed back. My daughter loves her key worker and has done in each room she has been in. The nursery has always been welcoming and worked around
changes in schedules over the years. You can see the staff really care about the children.
