My Little one has been attending the nursery for nearly year now. And I am so happy he comes here. The staff have been fantastic. I get daily updates of what he has been up to which is lovely to see. the nursery as a home from home feel to it and a wonderful outdoor area!

An amazing nursery that has cared for both our children. They are always providing stimulating activities and both children loved going. We chose to have a smaller sitting to ensure that the staff knew our children and we consistently know they know them well.
Love the invite to parents/carers for
special days as it is lovely seeing just how happy our child is there!
The current deputy manager is the most amazing woman, nothjng is ever too much trouble for her, she has been a consistent star and makes the Old School Nursery even better - thank you!

I am extremely happy with the nursery and the care my son receives. Since attending, I have seen a noticeable improvement in his development, especially in his language and communication skills. He has learned many new words and now expresses himself with much more confidence, which has been wonderful
to see as a parent. Would recommend!

My son started attending the nursery in September 2025 and he loves it.


The nursery staff are brilliant. They really helped with the settling in process for both my son and I. Now I am comfortable to leave him there and know he is well looked after. The staff is great with communication via phone

calls messages and the app. Very friendly and happy to have a chat with you at the start and end of your child's day.

Field House has been excellent - they were super accommodating when we were moving to the area and had to keep changing start dates. Our little one settled in super quickly thanks to the brilliant staff. The garden area is amazing - she loves getting out for fresh air and play in the garden every day.
All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

The team at Field House are so skilled, warm, caring and considerate not only of the children their care but also of parents experiencing the same separation angst as their child who might be attending nursery for the first time.


My daughter certainly struggled initially but the team were so patient

and kind with us both as she settled.


In a matter of weeks I'm seeing brilliant photos of her playing with others, she sleeps far better at nursery than she does for me and the breadth of foods she's trying and enjoying is beyond anything I could do at home.


I'm truly very impressed and would recommend to anyone. The facilities are of course very good but it's the team you need to trust in.

My Daughter has recently left for school. She thrived whilst being at the setting and used to tell us how much she loved being there. Our son now attends in the baby room and the staff were amazing with settling him in. His speech has come on tremendously and he loves going in. The nursery has a home
from home feel and being a smaller nursery the staff know all the children individually. The garden is lovely and is a big space for them to enjoy. My Daughter also enjoyed the forest school sessions that are also offered at the setting

Excellent nursery very good friendly and professional staff.
My little one is very happy when she is over there.
A whole lot of plays for the kid's every day differed one.
Big bonus is the app where the staff daily adding pictures and all info about kid.
I can see how that nursery and the staff
change my little one in the last year and how big progress she done into development.
Just great.

I could not feel more at ease sending my baby to The Old School Day Nursery, the staff are very kind and super helpful with any query. They ensured my child had extra settling in sessions when he was struggling with the transition of starting nursery. They have communicated with us really well throughout
the whole process and have built a great bond with our son.
The activities are perfect for his age and what he likes to do, whilst also helping him develop further with fine motor skills, speech etc.

Our child started at Field House when he was around a year old. They really supported us through the settling process, despite some difficulty getting him eating. The manager is fantastic and has specifically asked for parent feedback to try to improve over time. We've already seen suggestions being
put in place. I really like that it is a small nursery, so the employees really get to know all the children. The specific baby garden area is great too! We look forward to seeing the regular pictures each day to see what he's been up to! It always seem very clean when we attend. I would definitely recommend to others.

My husband and I were not sure what we were looking for in a nursery but as we went around various ones it became clear that food & nutrition, engaging play and smaller group numbers were important to us. Field House just felt right when we were there and thankfully this feeling was proved correct when
our son started last September. The staff are attentive, patient and kind with all the little ones and it has been amazing to see how our son has developed since being there. He often does things at home that we will eventually figure out he is being taught at nursery (nursery rhymes, washing hands). They spend lots of time outdoors come rain or shine which is exactly what we wanted for him. The staff take the time to check in regularly about how his day has been and can be really helpful for how to manage certain things at home (we followed their example with sleep which helped hugely and also how to manage a bit of boisterous behaviour). They really care and I am so happy he is there.

We have had a fantastic experience with this nursery. From the very beginning, the staff provided incredible support to help my son settle in, making the transition smooth and reassuring for both him and us as parents. The team is highly involved, caring, and attentive, and it's clear that they know
him well and genuinely care about his well-being. Their supportive approach has helped him grow in confidence and enjoy his time at nursery. We're highly recommend this nursery to other parents.

We are so pleased with Field House Day Nursery and Pre School. Our child always leaves happy and can tell us activities they have done throughout the day. They eat well there, the staff post photos each day of what they have been up to, and there are additional activities too such as drama tots. There
is a great outdoor space where lots of play and exploring happens! All of the staff know all of the children and they are really caring. I really like that they promote independence from pouring their own cereal and milk to learning how to express themselves. They will phone if there are any problems and are very good with potential safeguarding concerns. They let one parent in at a time at drop off and collection and you are given some feedback of what your little one has been up to during the day. The manager, knows all of the children and spends time in the nursery with children and staff regularly, she also gets back to you very quickly with any concerns you may have.
