We honestly couldn't recommend this nursery highly enough. Our son absolutely loves going to nursery and has built wonderful relationships with the staff. All the staff are kind, patient and caring, and always take the time to understand him as an individual. It gives us so much reassurance knowing he is happy and well cared for while we're at work. We really value the detailed progress assessments every three months, as they give us a great insight into his development and how we can support him at home. It feels like we're working together as a team to help him thrive. Since starting nursery, we've seen such a positive change in him. His confidence, independence, speech and social skills have grown so much, and he comes home excited to share what he's been doing. He even eats a wider variety of foods at nursery, which shows the encouraging environment the staff create.
The communication with parents is excellent, and every member of staff is warm, welcoming and passionate.

We have had a fantastic experience with Field House Nursery. From the beginning, the staff gave excellent support to help our daughter settle in, making the transition smooth and reassuring for both her and us as parents. We had a very warm welcome when she started, and although it took her a little time to settle, the team were patient, understanding, and consistently supportive. It is clear how much they care about the children and take the time to know each one individually.
There are lots of engaging activities, the food is excellent, and we are really pleased with how happy and settled she is. We would highly recommend Field House Nursery to other parents.

All the staff are incredible, they really care for your children as if they were their own. I couldn't have wished for a better environment for my little boy.
His key worker Beatrice is incredible, she give an amazing handover at the end of the day so I know how he had been and what he had been up to and she really listeners if you have any concerns at all.

We honestly couldn't be happier with our experiance at The Old School Day Nursery. Our son Regan started in the baby room earlier this year and from day one the team have been amazing. As parents we were quite nervous about settling him in, but they made the whole process feel so easy and reassuring. It's been so lovely to see how much he has come out of his shell. The staff have really taken the time to get to know him and support him in such a kind and nurturing way, it really shows how much they care. We also love the app - it's so nice getting little updates and photos, it makes such a difference and helps you feel connected to what they've been up to. A special mention to Rhiane and Evie, who have been looking after Regan - they have been so lovely, patient and caring, and it's clear how much they genuinley adore the children. It makes leaving him each day that bit easier.
We're so grateful to everyone there, they really do go above and beyond. We would 100% reccomend them :)

My girls have thrived in the environment Arbury has to offer, I have watched their confidence grow and they amaze me everyday, which Arbury has a huge part in playing. They both enjoy going and love seeing the members of staff, who all are lovely. The staff there are a true credit to the nursery group and make the whole experience what it is.

I highly recommend The Old School Day Nursery. My daughter has absolutely thrived there. The team not only encourages her to be herself, but they really nurture her curiosity and love of learning. She's very much like her dad-always figuring out how things work, how pieces fit together, and how she can make something even better. The staff embrace that side of her completely. Through their play-based learning, they give her the space to explore, experiment, and problem-solve in her own way, as long as she's safe. Even when her approach is a little unconventional, they let her work things out and celebrate her independence.
We're so glad we chose this nursery. It's been the perfect place for her to grow.

My son absolutely loves going to nursery, which really says it all. He settled in very quickly and has built great relationships with staff and other children there. One of the main reasons we chose The Old School was because it's a smaller setting - we wanted a close-knit, community feel rather than a large, impersonal nursery.
He always comes home smiling and has developed so much since starting there. I feel completely comfortable dropping him off each day, knowing he is happy, well cared for, and safe. The staff are always friendly, approachable, and create a lovely family atmosphere.

My Little one has been attending the nursery for nearly year now. And I am so happy he comes here. The staff have been fantastic. I get daily updates of what he has been up to which is lovely to see. the nursery as a home from home feel to it and a wonderful outdoor area!

An amazing nursery that has cared for both our children. They are always providing stimulating activities and both children loved going. We chose to have a smaller sitting to ensure that the staff knew our children and we consistently know they know them well. Love the invite to parents/carers for special days as it is lovely seeing just how happy our child is there!
The current deputy manager is the most amazing woman, nothjng is ever too much trouble for her, she has been a consistent star and makes the Old School Nursery even better - thank you!

I am extremely happy with the nursery and the care my son receives. Since attending, I have seen a noticeable improvement in his development, especially in his language and communication skills. He has learned many new words and now expresses himself with much more confidence, which has been wonderful to see as a parent. Would recommend!

Overall Experience
My son started attending the nursery in September 2025 and he loves it.
The nursery staff are brilliant. They really helped with the settling in process for both my son and I. Now I am comfortable to leave him there and know he is well looked after. The staff is great with communication via phone calls messages and the app. Very friendly and happy to have a chat with you at the start and end of your child's day.

Field House has been excellent - they were super accommodating when we were moving to the area and had to keep changing start dates. Our little one settled in super quickly thanks to the brilliant staff. The garden area is amazing - she loves getting out for fresh air and play in the garden every day. All the staff are so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend!

The team at Field House are so skilled, warm, caring and considerate not only of the children their care but also of parents experiencing the same separation angst as their child who might be attending nursery for the first time.
My daughter certainly struggled initially but the team were so patient and kind with us both as she settled.
In a matter of weeks I'm seeing brilliant photos of her playing with others, she sleeps far better at nursery than she does for me and the breadth of foods she's trying and enjoying is beyond anything I could do at home.
I'm truly very impressed and would recommend to anyone. The facilities are of course very good but it's the team you need to trust in.

My Daughter has recently left for school. She thrived whilst being at the setting and used to tell us how much she loved being there. Our son now attends in the baby room and the staff were amazing with settling him in. His speech has come on tremendously and he loves going in. The nursery has a home from home feel and being a smaller nursery the staff know all the children individually. The garden is lovely and is a big space for them to enjoy. My Daughter also enjoyed the forest school sessions that are also offered at the setting

Excellent nursery very good friendly and professional staff. My little one is very happy when she is over there. A whole lot of plays for the kid's every day differed one. Big bonus is the app where the staff daily adding pictures and all info about kid. I can see how that nursery and the staff change my little one in the last year and how big progress she done into development.

I could not feel more at ease sending my baby to The Old School Day Nursery, the staff are very kind and super helpful with any query. They ensured my child had extra settling in sessions when he was struggling with the transition of starting nursery. They have communicated with us really well throughout the whole process and have built a great bond with our son.
The activities are perfect for his age and what he likes to do, whilst also helping him develop further with fine motor skills, speech etc.
