The Old School is a nursery set in the countryside between Coventry and Nuneaton.

Part of the Tommies Childcare family, the nursery's qualified and experienced team pride themselves in creating warm, vibrant and interactive environments which allow children to learn and have fun.

The Old School's baby room includes its own messy play area for babies up to the age of two-years-old.

Toddlers and pre-school children have their own spacious room which holds a range of resources and play-rich environments that develop learning.

The nursery also boasts a large garden with a climbing frame as well as an area for growing vegetables.

Excellent nursery very good friendly and professional staff.
My little one is very happy when she is over there.
A whole lot of plays for the kid's every day differed one.
Big bonus is the app where the staff daily adding pictures and all info about kid.
I can see how that nursery and the staff
change my little one in the last year and how big progress she done into development.
Just great.

I could not feel more at ease sending my baby to The Old School Day Nursery, the staff are very kind and super helpful with any query. They ensured my child had extra settling in sessions when he was struggling with the transition of starting nursery. They have communicated with us really well throughout
the whole process and have built a great bond with our son.
The activities are perfect for his age and what he likes to do, whilst also helping him develop further with fine motor skills, speech etc.

My son attend this nursery from 8 months old until he went to school this September. The nursery was the obvious choice for my daughter as we had a brilliant experience with my son. My daughter, however, struggles with separation anxiety. I can not praise the nursery and staff enough for their continued
support and understanding. They have been amazing from the beginning, extra settling in sessions and working with me 1:1 to ensure my daughter has the best experience possible with the least amount of anxiety. They have personalised a plan for her and we have regular meetings to highlight things that are working and to come up with new ideas. I would 100% recommend this nursery to everyone.

My daughter moved to this nursery from another at the start of this year. She is three years old. In this time she has really improved in her speech. She now has more confidence in having a conversation and using bigger words. Her confidence has also improved, she was never shy but now she will get
involved in every activity with all the chlidren. Finally, my daughter is a picky eater but since joining this nursery she has started to try new foods. This may be down to the fact they allow them to access food and drink alone and teach them independence.

My children have been at the nursery for the last 3 years. The nursery and staff are outstanding! I put my complete trust in them and wouldn't want a different nursery. I absolutely love my son going to The Old School Day Nursery. I always feel assured that he is looked after and in safe hands. All of the staff go above and beyond and I genuinely feel that they all love their jobs. Every day a new activity is planned making my son's time at the nursery exciting. He
has developed so much since starting and he's formed close bonds with key workers which says it all. The nursery is clean and inviting and has a friendly home-from-home feel. Thank you for all you do and for making me not as worried when leaving my son in such capable hands.

My daughter has been coming here since she was 7 months old - she is 2 now and is really thriving.
I did start off putting her in this one for the convenience of location - as it is only a 2-minute drive from where I work - but I am so happy with my choice.
The staff are all excellent, she is always
greeted with a smile and never looks back to say bye now, just runs straight in.
She is always talking about certain staff members when we ask her who she is going to see and play with at nursery today.
Overall, brilliant staff and I cannot wait for her next journey to the preschool room later this year.

My little girl started at The Old School Day Nursery & Pre-school when she was 9 months old and she has flourished and this is thanks to the great staff and the activities that they provide. She is 3 now and she loves going to nursery. She enjoys Forest School and the fantastic range of activities that
the staff prepare for the children. The parent zone app enables me to see lovely photos of what she has been doing each day and my daughter loves to look back at these each evening. The staff are amazing and go over and beyond each day. There are lots of stay and play sessions available to us as parents which I have participated in and it’s great to see my daughter interacting with the other children. I would highly recommend this nursery.

I couldn’t be happier with the standard of care my child receives here! Both my children have attended the Old School, one being 7 now and one being in toddler room. The staff at the Old School are very welcoming, friendly and always help as much as they can. Every member of staff knows and greets my
child, even though they are in separate rooms. My daughter runs into nursery to see the staff members and children. I always feel safe leaving my child at nursery and she enjoys every day. The daily updates and parents' app is amazing, it’s lovely to see all her feedback and photos daily. The nursery has a lovely atmosphere, is warm and is such a calming, neutral setting. My child’s key worker is amazing, she knows all her strengths and weaknesses and plans activities to enhance her development in all areas. The manger is very friendly, helpful, and relatable as a parent. My daughter calls the staff members by their names and looks forward to coming into nursery, I would highly recommend it.

Hello,


My name is Stacey Scott and I proudly hold the Nursery Manager position here at The Old School.


I joined Tommies in 2014 and have progressed in my career, starting initially as a Lunchtime Assistant before joining one of our other nurseries as a full-time Nursery Practitioner. Since then, I have worked hard to develop my skillset and take on more and more management duties, taking up positions as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, Deputy Manager, and I am now embarking on my new role as Nursery Manager.


I have been inspired to work in childcare since I was a teenager. I love the joy that children bring and knew that working with them full-time was the right path for me. It’s not without challenges, but I enjoy them as much as spending a day with young children. No day is ever the same, and I’m continually amazed by how children develop and learn.


I look forward to meeting you (the parents) and your little ones at the start and throughout your early years journey with us. With that in mind, please arrange your visit today.
