We have had a great experience at Walker Street. Little one in Baby Room and eldest is now in pre-school (she started in baby room in 2024) I really appreciate how much the staff genuinely care and interact with the children. They have the children out and about, visiting play parks, museums and looking
at the trains/trams. I love this, however big a nursery is, I feel its vital the children are outside in different environments. They are great at building learning into play and since the first month I could see the outcomes of this in my child. I know other nurseries give more updates on nappy changes, bottles, exact amount of food and sleep on apps. Personally, I feel the staff are there to care and not be doing admin on ipads for parents.

Melville Street nursery has provided a loving supportive environment in which our children have thrived and headed with both social and educational tools which has seen them thrive there too in the case of my eldest child. My middle child will move to school this summer and my youngest will start his
Melville Street time later this year. They offer a wide variety of activities and experiences for children which really enriches their time at nursery. Our children have loved the weekly forest school and swimming sessions in the later years and in the earlier years trips to the local area and further afield have been exciting events in their nursery life. Day to day we have been impressed by the feedback given us at the end of each day, the love care the staff provide the children with - we have had several lovely key workers which our children have enjoyed spending time with. We really have been made welcome at Melville Street and really feel part of their family!
Reply from Isabel Viveiros, Operations Manager at Melville Street NurseryHello C H, Thank you for your lovely review. We're so thrilled that both children have had such a wonderful experience at Melville Street, and we're looking forward to your youngest joining us. We're going to miss your wee one who is heading off to school-it has been a pleasure having her with us. She is so ready for this next step, and I've no doubt she will settle in brilliantly and do so well at school. Best wishes, Aaron

Early Days (Walker Street) has been in our family's life now for 8 years and we could not have been happier with the care and support they have given our children.
It is the staff at Early Days who make it what it is and everyone has such an important role to play. The staff in the preschool and school
room in particular are truly wonderful - caring, supportive and genuinely invested in the wellbeing and happiness of my boys. They have thrived at Early Days and it has given them confidence and independence that has, and will continue to, stand them in good stead.
The activities on offer at Early Days too are amazing - swimming, football, music classes and Forest School is a firm favourite - Ross, Alex, Yasmin and Steve are all amazing. The food is fantastic too and definitely deserves a big mention. It's healthy, delicious, varied and it introduces them to new flavours and cuisine which is great. In summary, I really couldn't recommend Early Days more highly.
Reply from Isabel Viveiros, Operations Manager at Walker Street NurseryHi, Thank you for your recommendation. It's been wonderful to see both of your boys grow and develop from young babies into big school boys. We love seeing how happy your little boy is when he goes to the forest each week he really enjoys it.

Early Days at Walker Street has been brilliant for our family. We were let down by another nursery and so ended up there as it was somewhere that could take my daughter at relatively short notice - we often say how lucky we feel that it worked out this way.
The staff have been wonderful and I feel
like they truly care for my daughter which is the best thing I could ask for.
The location is convenient for the city centre. Although the building is fairly small and the garden isn't huge compared to some nurseries, I've found they more than make up for it by taking the children out and about to do activities and visit other larger green spaces. The range of activities offered is fab too - they even offer swimming and forest school.
We will be sad to say goodbye when my daughter leaves to go to school.
Reply from Isabel Viveiros, Operations Manager at Walker Street NurseryHi Ellie, Thank you so much for your feedback. It means a lot to us. We will miss you all in nursery once she moves onto school. Please come back and visit us so she can share her school experience with her friends.

My son is so happy at Melville Street, he runs in each day and doesn't look back. The staff are fantastic! They are nurturing and full of positive energy. The staff are so attentive to each child and develop really lovely bonds, it is clear to see.
My son is involved in engaging learning and social
activities every day and I love that the children are outdoors playing as much as possible.
I am delighted with the level of care my son receives at Melville Street and highly recommend the nursery to anyone considering it.

We've been really happy with Melville Street Nursery. The care is excellent, with a strong focus on learning and development from an early stage. There is a great variety of activities, and the trips they organise are a real highlight and always well thought through.
The food is balanced and nutritious,
which is very reassuring. It has been a brilliant start to our son's education, and we've seen him grow in confidence and curiosity.
The management team are very good and responsive to individual needs. We feel our child is well cared for and supported in all aspects. We've been so pleased with our experience that our younger sibling will be attending.

Our eldest son started in the baby room in June 2023 and our youngest started in the baby room in January 2025. There has been continuity of staff with both boys being looked after by the same staff and having the same key worker in Babies and Tweenies. In the Babies and Tweenies our youngest is taken
outside almost daily for local walks, to the zoo, train station, to watch the trams etc. In the School room there is weekly swimming and football and a real focus on learning with a current focus being on road safety. We feel very lucky to have found a nursery where the staff care so much for our kids.
Reply from Isabel Viveiros, Operations Manager at Melville Street NurseryHi Caroline, Such a lovely review-thank you for your kind feedback. The boys have been a joy to care for in the nursery and never cease to amaze us with their humour and great nature. I'm glad we're able to offer lots of fun outdoor experiences, and the team has built such lovely bonds with them throughout their time with us. Thank you again. Best wishes, Aaron

It's a really nice wee nursery. All the nursery workers I've met have been lovely and really care about the kids. The kids get outside pretty much every day, which is great, either in the back garden or out for a walk somewhere in town. The nursery manager is really great at giving info and he seems
to know all the kids by name, as knows my child well enough to know their favourite activities. We get regular info from the admin team.

The nursery has provided a friendly, safe and encouraging environment for both of our children to prosper in. The staff are generally at the nursery for the long term and have established close bonds with our children which helps as they transition from one stage to another and has also given us peace
of mind that our children are surrounded by familiar and caring faces. We have noticed good and steady progress with their learning and they made sure our eldest child was prepared and confident for leaving nursery to start school. Our children really enjoy the food and its a great help dinner is provided towards the end of the nursery day.

We're so impressed with this nursery and honestly couldn't recommend it enough.
The staff are amazing, they really care about the children and take the time to understand each child and what they need.
It feels like every child gets great support and attention. The forest school and swimming
lessons are such brilliant extras and make it even more special.
Our child has only been there a short time but is already thriving and so happy. We feel really lucky to have found it.

I absolutely love this nursery. We originally were going to move my son to a closer one when a space became available but it would have broken my heart as he loves the staff (as do I!) so much! They are professional, have open ended communication, super friendly and my little boy who has been going
for nearly 3 years now loves it.

Both my children have attended Early Days (Palmerston Place) since they were 10 months.
The staff in all the rooms have been brilliant, reassuring and caring. The facilities are great - outside space, sensory room and in house catering with lots of trips and outings. I have recommended this nursery
to friends and colleagues. It's also a lovely community that has been created as well.

The staff have looked after all 3 of my girls. 2 of which have gone to the nursery since they were 4 months old. I've always felt completely happy leaving my girls at the nursery. The staff are all so caring and friendly. It's also very easy to book an ad hoc extra day when needed which is great. The
admin staff are always very helpful.

I honestly cannot speak highly enough of this nursery. From the very beginning, the management team have been exceptional-professional, supportive, and truly passionate about what they do. It's clear that they set a wonderful tone that carries through to every member of staff.
The staff themselves
are absolutely incredible. They are caring, attentive, and genuinely invested in each child's development and happiness. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my daughter is in such a nurturing and positive environment every day.
What really sets this nursery apart is the range of opportunities they provide for the children. From swimming and forest school to ballet, they offer such a rich and varied experience that goes far beyond standard childcare. The regular excursions are another highlight-trips to the zoo, museums, and even the beach create such exciting and memorable experiences for the children.
I would highly recommend it to any parent.
