On the whole, we've loved our experience with Early Days nursery. Our daughter absolutely adores it, and on some days she is actually sad when we pick her up. My daughter is transitioning from the baby room to the Tweenie room and they've been very mindful of this change.
Additionally, I love that the kids go outside every day, whatever the weather. The menu looks fantastic and according to the staff, my daughter eats everything almost every day.

I would totally recommend Early Days nursery on Walker St. Lovely classrooms and lovely staff!

The nursery is well organised and all nursery teachers are wonderful with all the children. My son is going to this nursery for 3 years and he always had the greatest day! The children learn so many new skills, every day is different, they offer extra activities like swimming, football, yoga and music sessions and for preschool kids they do Forest School as well. The food is fantastic too. I can just recommend Walker Street Nursery to anyone!

Starting your child at a nursery as a first time parent is unbelievably daunting. We have had the best experience with the whole Walker Street team. We absolutely love the Early Days nursery set up and our daughter is so happy to attend nursery for her 4 days of the week. Highly recommend the nursery to any new or seasoned parent.

I can sing the praises of the staff we have had so far (baby room, tweenies room and all the management) as they are all brilliant. Something that I know stands out that other parents are interested in is the food supplied to the children with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks being provided. Such a mix of great nutritious food and we appreciate the fact she gets breakfast so we don't have to worry about that on route to nursery/work.

We have had a great experience at Walker Street. Little one in Baby Room and eldest is now in pre-school (she started in baby room in 2024) I really appreciate how much the staff genuinely care and interact with the children. They have the children out and about, visiting play parks, museums and looking at the trains/trams. I love this, however big a nursery is, I feel its vital the children are outside in different environments. They are great at building learning into play and since the first month I could see the outcomes of this in my child. I know other nurseries give more updates on nappy changes, bottles, exact amount of food and sleep on apps. Personally, I feel the staff are there to care and not be doing admin on ipads for parents.

Overall Experience
Early Days (Walker Street) has been in our family's life now for 8 years and we could not have been happier with the care and support they have given our children.
It is the staff at Early Days who make it what it is and everyone has such an important role to play. The staff in the preschool and school room in particular are truly wonderful - caring, supportive and genuinely invested in the wellbeing and happiness of my boys. They have thrived at Early Days and it has given them confidence and independence that has, and will continue to, stand them in good stead.

The activities on offer at Early Days too are amazing - swimming, football, music classes and Forest School is a firm favourite - Ross, Alex, Yasmin and Steve are all amazing. The food is fantastic too and definitely deserves a big mention. It's healthy, delicious, varied and it introduces them to new flavours and cuisine which is great. In summary, I really couldn't recommend Early Days more highly.

Thank you for your recommendation.

It's been wonderful to see both of your boys grow and develop from young babies into big school boys. We love seeing how happy your little boy is when he goes to the forest each week he really enjoys it.

Overall Experience
Early Days at Walker Street has been brilliant for our family. We were let down by another nursery and so ended up there as it was somewhere that could take my daughter at relatively short notice - we often say how lucky we feel that it worked out this way.
The staff have been wonderful and I feel like they truly care for my daughter which is the best thing I could ask for.
The location is convenient for the city centre. Although the building is fairly small and the garden isn't huge compared to some nurseries, I've found they more than make up for it by taking the children out and about to do activities and visit other larger green spaces. The range of activities offered is fab too - they even offer swimming and forest school.

We will be sad to say goodbye when my daughter leaves to go to school.

We have had two children attending Walker Street nursery and we love it. The staff are wonderful and it's obvious how much they care for the children.
They always try to host a range of additional activities for the children including ballet and football.

The food is cooked fresh for the children and both of ours have always loved it. We couldn't recommend Walker Street enough.

Georgia Matthews
I am Georgia, an experienced early years professional with a career in childcare that began in 2014 at Early Days Nurseries. From the outset, I have been passionate about supporting young children’s development and creating nurturing, engaging learning environments where every child can thrive.
Starting in an entry-level role, I developed a strong foundation in all areas of nursery practice, including childcare, safeguarding, and early education. Through dedication and hands-on experience, I progressed through a variety of roles, each offering valuable insight into both the day-to-day operations of a nursery and the importance of delivering consistently high-quality care and education.
Alongside my practical experience, I completed a bachelor’s degree in childhood studies at the University of Glasgow. This academic journey enhanced my understanding of child development and strengthened my ability to apply theory to practice within early years settings.

Now, as Nursery Manager at Walker Street Nursery, I lead with a commitment to excellence. I am focused on supporting and developing my team to deliver outstanding care, while fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for every child. I am particularly passionate about continuous improvement, professional development, and ensuring that all children are given the best possible start in life.
