My daughter has just finished up at Melville Street Nursery, and I couldn't recommend it enough. All the staff are wonderful, the days are all really well structured to keep the kids engaged and entertained, and she's always enjoyed the meals. They are particularly good at arranging outings and offsite activities. A particular favourite has been the swimming lessons.

I cannot sing the praises of Melville Street Nursery highly enough - loads of extra curricular opportunities (forest school, yoga, swimming, ballet and football), hands on learning, and clear communication without a crazy price point. My daughter has thrived under their care (from 'Babies' through to their 'School' room) and now has a really good grasp of literacy and numeracy and is so excited to start school. My daughter knows all the support and management staff as well as the room carers and talks about them all very positively; it's very lovely. Their menu is cooked fresh on-site each day and ensures she has experienced many new flavours and textures and has developed a varied palate as a result. Overall, it combines to create a loving, supportive and nurturing environment that encourages learning, independence and support for individual interests. Would highly recommend.

Quality nursery with caring staff offering good learning opportunities at all stages. The nursery offers lots of enrichment experiences and really makes the most of the location with trips to local parks, the national museum, and other outings. Our child loved the forest school offering.

We feel so happy our children are thriving in such a stimulating, nurturing and high quality learning environment.

Leaving this nursery has been one of the hardest decisions for us. We are only moving because Having both children in the same place will make life much easier for our family. If it weren't for this, I would have happily kept Muhammadou at Early Days Nursery. It's hard to put into words how grateful we are for everything Doune Terrace has given our family. Both of our daughters went to Doune Terrace and from the very beginning we have felt completely confident that they were in the most caring, nurturing and supportive environment. Our girls have grown so much during their time here not only in confidence and learning but also in kindness, independence and friendships! As we prepare to move abroad sharing goodbye is incredibly bittersweet. Thank you for everything you have done for our family we will miss you all so much and couldn't have wished for a better start for our girls. Chloe and Craig x

We've seen such a huge boost in our child's confidence, independence, and social skills since attending. The communication with parents is fantastic, and we always feel involved and informed about our child's progress. Its been excellent.

My daughter has been at Doune Terrace since she was 18 months old and has always been happy to attend. Throughout her time there, she has enjoyed the wide range of activities provided, such as Forest School, trip to North Berwick, yoga and music classes, attending Fringe shows, museum visits, and many more. We feel the nursery has given our daughter the best possible start to her early years, and we are very grateful to the staff who work tirelessly to keep the nursery running so smoothly.

My child absolutely loves Walker Street. The staff are fantastic and genuinely care about all the children. There are lots of outdoor opportunities, and the menu offers a great variety of options. We would definitely recommend Walker Street to other families.

The nursery is well organised and all nursery teachers are wonderful with all the children. My son is going to this nursery for 3 years and he always had the greatest day! The children learn so many new skills, every day is different, they offer extra activities like swimming, football, yoga and music sessions and for preschool kids they do Forest School as well. The food is fantastic too. I can just recommend Walker Street Nursery to anyone!

I can sing the praises of the staff we have had so far (baby room, tweenies room and all the management) as they are all brilliant. Something that I know stands out that other parents are interested in is the food supplied to the children with breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks being provided. Such a mix of great nutritious food and we appreciate the fact she gets breakfast so we don't have to worry about that on route to nursery/work.

My son has been going to Melville Street since January 2025, and it is wonderful. ,From the staff, the chefs & menu, activities to the nursery space itself, honestly I feel so secure having his early years of education and care being provided there.

We have had a great experience at Walker Street. Little one in Baby Room and eldest is now in pre-school (she started in baby room in 2024) I really appreciate how much the staff genuinely care and interact with the children. They have the children out and about, visiting play parks, museums and looking at the trains/trams. I love this, however big a nursery is, I feel its vital the children are outside in different environments. They are great at building learning into play and since the first month I could see the outcomes of this in my child. I know other nurseries give more updates on nappy changes, bottles, exact amount of food and sleep on apps. Personally, I feel the staff are there to care and not be doing admin on ipads for parents.

Melville Street nursery has provided a loving supportive environment in which our children have thrived and headed with both social and educational tools which has seen them thrive there too in the case of my eldest child. My middle child will move to school this summer and my youngest will start his Melville Street time later this year. They offer a wide variety of activities and experiences for children which really enriches their time at nursery. Our children have loved the weekly forest school and swimming sessions in the later years and in the earlier years trips to the local area and further afield have been exciting events in their nursery life. Day to day we have been impressed by the feedback given us at the end of each day, the love care the staff provide the children with - we have had several lovely key workers which our children have enjoyed spending time with. We really have been made welcome at Melville Street and really feel part of their family!

The activities on offer at Early Days too are amazing - swimming, football, music classes and Forest School is a firm favourite - Ross, Alex, Yasmin and Steve are all amazing. The food is fantastic too and definitely deserves a big mention. It's healthy, delicious, varied and it introduces them to new flavours and cuisine which is great. In summary, I really couldn't recommend Early Days more highly.

We will be sad to say goodbye when my daughter leaves to go to school.

I am delighted with the level of care my son receives at Melville Street and highly recommend the nursery to anyone considering it.

The management team are very good and responsive to individual needs. We feel our child is well cared for and supported in all aspects. We've been so pleased with our experience that our younger sibling will be attending.
