We couldn't be happier with the care our 2-year-old son receives at this nursery. From the very beginning, the staff have been incredibly warm, attentive, and genuinely invested in his development and happiness. It's clear that they create a safe, nurturing environment where children feel comfortable to explore, learn, and grow.
Our son has become more confident, social, and curious since starting, and we've noticed such a positive difference in his communication and independence. The activities are engaging, creative, and fun, helping to support his learning through play.
We also really appreciate the regular updates and communication, which give us peace of mind. It's so reassuring to know he's in such caring and capable hands.
Thank you to the entire team at Stepping Stones Day Nursery for the amazing work you do - we highly recommend this nursery to any family in the area looking for the right care for their young child.
This nursery setting is absolutely fantastic. Both of my daughters have received fantastic care whilst attending here over the past few years. Staff are caring and friendly - this goes for every member of staff I have ever spoken with and about any query I've had. My daughters love playing both inside and out, and they learn so much whilst here, I highly recommend Stepping Stones Day Nursery at Lingley Mere.

Our daughter has attended Stepping Stones Day Nursery since January 2024. We couldn't be happier with the setting, from the initial settling in sessions where practitioners were so kind and caring to our daughter and to us as parents during the transition. The practitioners are so knowledgeable and ensure developmental needs are met by creating a nurturing and creative environment to thrive. A special mention to one staff member in particular, for always accommodating our daughters specific allergy requirements and providing healthy and nutritious food. We get specific requests at home for the nursery menu weekly!
I would highly recommend this nursery - a home from home.
Our little boy started at Stepping Stones Day Nursery when he was 8 months old and has had a great experience in every room he's progressed through. It is very clear through the welcome we get each day, and the way he talks about everyone when he's at home, that all of the staff really care for him and make sure his time at nursery is a fun and enjoyable experience. I am also confident they've had a positive influence on his development, supporting him to walk, talk and now learn numbers and letters. His little sister has also recently started the nursery and all the staff have done everything they can to help her settle in.
I'm very grateful to all the team at Stepping Stones!

Stepping Stones Day Nursery have been brilliant with my little boy. He was very unsettled starting and they were just lovely and patient with him. The feedback each day is thorough and he now enjoys going there. I love seeing pictures of him there.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since February 2023, she was 10 months old. She has come on leaps and bounds in her development, in every way. The staff have helped her build confidence and become the clever little girl she is today. All staff are always happy and welcoming. They are very supportive if I, or my husband, have any questions/concerns. I can not be happier with the nursery and its staff. My daughter loves attending, she is always excited about going, she talks about it when she's at home, she even role plays at home, and she, of course, is the teacher. My daughter has a very good relationship with the staff, as do I.

My son has been at Stepping Stones Day Nursery for almost 18 months. He absolutely loves it which makes it so much easier as a parent when you drop him off! They have assisted with every stage of his development, most recently adjusting into the toddler room which has been a big step up for him.

My little girl has attended this nursery for just over a year and has transitioned from the babies room, through pre-toddlers and recently into toddlers. Each room has helped her develop in so many different ways at each stage, and all of the girls in each room are an absolute credit to the nursery. I know my little girl is with people who genuinely care for her when I drop her off! She always comes out with the biggest smile, and seeing what she's been up to with her friends throughout the day via the app and through handovers with the staff is fabulous. Never had any issues, and the communication has always been spot on.

I am so pleased with the service and support from Stepping Stones staff at the nursery my key highlights so far. My son settled in great into toddler then the transition to preschool was very comforting. They support and accommodate my son's interests which is lovely as he has specific interests in which is adores and is very passionate about. They offer a good variety of food with extra helpings offered to support appetites for growth. The variety of activities in pre-school is excellent allowing them to grow and develop, such as French and also all the creativity such as mud kitchen, visits to the park, supermarkets, baking etc. Finally, the staff are all kind, caring and supportive which is exactly what is needed for your child.
Excellent nursery cannot fault anything about it, our son is in such good hands and loves it at Stepping Stones Day Nursery. All the staff are brilliant and would highly recommend. Nothing is too much trouble!

My son has come on so much since coming to Stepping Stones Day Nursery. He gets on so well with his key person and they are great with the children. I like that the nursery continually improves as well, recently they have begun to use the nursery app to put diary entries on, which is a great way to see what he has been up to at nursery.

My daughter has been going to Stepping Stones Day Nursery since September 2024 when she was 21 months old. She has come on leaps and bounds since she's been going to nursery and we have seen such a huge difference in her. The staff are so caring and patient and are great with our daughter. My son is due to start in April 2025 just after his 1st birthday and I already know he will have the same great experience.
I would wholly recommend Stepping Stones to anyone!

My daughter starting Stepping Stones Day Nursery when she was a year old. From her very first sessions, I felt as though I was handing her over to extended family, all the staff were so caring and nurturing. They took a great interest to learn her routines and to find out what comforted her. I felt confident and happy that my daughter was in such excellent hands. Our daughter is now 19 months old and has come on brilliantly since being at Stepping Stones, she interacts well with other children, is confident and most importantly of all, happy. All the staff at the nursery are incredibly friendly and approachable. They keep us updated daily on what our daughter has been doing, with regular pictures. The nursery is in such a beautiful location and my daughter regularly goes to the library, duck pond and park which she loves. I myself have a disability and the management have been tremendous at ensuring access needs such as accessible parking are available to me, something which I really appreciate.

This nursery has been fantastic for both my boys! My eldest started in January 2019 and my youngest will finish September 2026, so we have had many years with this nursery! One thing that stands out is how attentive and caring the staff are, my boys loved their nursery workers and both made lots of friends. They learnt many skills there, including using a knife and fork, which was a surprise for us! Very approachable and accommodating, would highly recommend.

It's a fantastic nursery. From the first people you meet at the door, through to the last person, everyone smiles and is very welcoming. This sets a great tone for the children but also for the parents walking in. The staff are lovely, kind, happy and calm every day. I'm sure, as parents, we know how hard that is to do every minute of the day with children and the chaos they can bring. I am very glad that we chose to send our child to this nursery.

Stepping Stones Day Nursery is a fantastic nursery. Our son loves it, runs in with no hesitation. Loves all of the staff, has his favourites of course, but happy to be with them all. Our son has a minor medical need of general observation for any changes. Any concerns and the staff are on the phone updating us and confirming if there's anything to be worried about.
Feel very relaxed knowing he's being taken good care of throughout the day.

My child has attended since he was 9 months old. He has grown and developed in the loving care of the staff at Stepping Stones Day Nursery. He is happy to be left and is excited to tell us of his day within his nursery life. He had developed so much within the baby room, pre-toddler room and toddler room and we have seen a more playful and confident side of him since he has been in the pre-school room within the last year.
